At the beginning of the episode, you could've brought in a unit at Yantuian and as long it has a command unit and initiative, it could've wiped out the retreating Chinese forces (the units with the red triangle)
I'd love to see you play the Wargame Airland Battle campaign some day, i'd argue that the campaign part of that game is better as each unit is self-contained rather then RD which lets you stack multiple units on the tile in campaign map making RD more rock-paper-siccors like. There's also multiplayer in the Airland Battle Campaign
I'd definitely be interested in checking out the Wargame: ALB campaign. That being said, I do think there's value in being able to bring multiple battle groups to a campaign battle. When playing WARNO's campaign, I found it frustrating that I could only bring a certain number of battle groups to bear against the enemy. It seems to me that Eugen's campaign modes are trying to emulate an operational wargame like The Operational Art of War series (which doesn't have a tactical, RTS element at all). However, if that's the case, it would make sense to allow the player to maximize maneuver on the operational scale and bring as many battle groups as possible to a fight, or to quote a long dead general, "get their first with the most men." It could be that my thoughts are colored by playing out operational or "high tactics" wargames either in-person or via computer, but I do think there's value in allowing you to stack units.
Thank you for the reply! Hope i don’t come across as arguing, rather just want to clarify what i meant about being able to mix & match units on the campaign map; the idea of it seems good but the AI isn’t very good at making a balanced fighting force leading to battles against +50 tanks with no AA or +100 infantry units with little else such as no recon. Anyways loving the series and looking forward to more!

No problem and no worries, I appreciate the comments. I hadn’t really thought about that angle of it. The AI certainly leaves something to be desired.
