An experience I had in game. Found a pawn walking on the road, 23 levels higher than me, I was lv 30 at the time. The cost for recruiting this pawn was 0 RC. I of course recruited them, and instantly got the DragonPlague textbox as it was my first time recruiting a pawn with the plague. I believe this may be a clue for lower level folks who run across high level pawns that cost nothing to recruit. They are carriers, nothing in life is free. Yeeted that wench into the brine.
Honestly got the warning but here's my thing, I rarely use inns, I mostly camp, however one thing I heard is that typically what pawns will do is they will remove their helmets that completely cover their face if they have been inflicted, I've also noticed pawns taking my gear which, idk if that's a feature or what, didn't pay attention much
My main pawn has been sitting down and responding "I'm well aware of that, thank you." to the other pawn the entire game. Pretty sure that's just a Straightforward inclination action and response and not a sign of Dragonsplague.
Agreed, I had summoned pawns that do this since early on, and they were not plagued. I didn't get the plague warning until I summoned a friend's level 53 mage into my party of level 20s...
It is, yes. Other pawn-to-pawn interactions include simple pawns tripping all over themselves and kindhearted/calm pawns reflecting on their previous vocations I think.
I had my straightforward pawn as mage for a while to get the stamina augment. Everytime I asked her to heal she made the not happy about it comment. I imagine many straightforward pawns are being brined lol
When a rented pawn dies, whatever they were carrying goes into your storage. Just make sure they are not carrying your camping gear or something you need(wakestones, portcrystals). Otherwise, it is a good way to send stuff to storage while out and about and get heavy. Get to a riftstone, load them up with all your stuff, dismiss and rehire them or another pawn. Weight lifted.
In my game the dragonsplague pawn rudely started spitting on the ground then other pawns in my party eventually started spitting on the ground and eventually each got red eyes.

I use campsites a lot so when they started getting snippy, I thought it was just funny didn’t really pay much attention to it. My fighter does it all the time, and gets called out whenever i hire an assassin (the ones that mostly have that trait). The sassy reply however...might be an indication... I only remember hearing the sassy remark once or twice, as usually "Straightforward" pawns don't reply to being called out, and on one occasion after i heard it, my pawn had glowing eyes some in-game days later.
i bought the blue dye color, an changed my eye color of my main pawn as bright blue as possible, and put on just a monocle, so there would be no question if the eyes are glowing red or not. the problem is the more people that farm dragons will have better chance to catch it. who know the forfeit mechanic might be bugged and might not work at all for clearing it.
Note to everyone: You can change your non main pawns equipment. You can take their own stuff and put your dtuff on them. so yeah even if they had glasses you can unequip them. As well as pawns with helmets. when you unequip the item they just vanish you cant keep them or do anything with them. so yeah hire any pawn just unequip the helmet.
Does anyone know - if I summon a pawn and it infects my main pawn --then I kill my main pawn to clear it, can I still KEEP that old pawn I summoned, or will it re-infect my pawns again? Reason being, my friend has a very high level mage that I like, and being it's from a friend, she doesn't cost RC. She is the one who infected my main pawn, but she has never had red eyes, and I've kept her around for many in-game days. I have kept her in party, and so far everything seems okay, after I killed/cleaned my main pawn.
If the pawn you summoned infects your main pawn, I believe that counts as 'passing it on' meaning that that one infected would be your main pawn. Which if you then cleansed your main pawn it means you're clear. (by what people have figured out).
I was playing yesterday and had 3 pawns with flashing red eyes, they looked like absolute demons, they don’t even act out of order to get a hint that they have it, so all I can say is that check your pawns eyes before going to rest at a inn or house
When i got the first pop up, I immediately alt+f4 out of the game and loaded back in back to the point before i hired the pawn that got the plague lol. I don't wanna dance my chance around the signs lol.
I just formed a habit of dismissing pawns before i slept at an inn. Even though i would sometimes forget to do that and everyone dies, most of them do come after passing time for about 7 days.
The second that box showed up when I recruited a pawn I tweeted them into the sea even tho I swear their eyes were brown … also does anyone know what happen to the pawn at the very beginning who says we’ll meet again I haven’t been able to find that guy anywhere or is that a main story spoiler …
for the record that first line is not a sign of the pleage as it dependents on pawns personality interaction but any other line where the pawns acts in defiance towards the arisen is
There is the DragonBall device(I think thats its name) It will show near by wake stone shards on the map when used. I think I might have infected pawns. I hear that sitting critique a lot. First thing after getting into the game, me an the kids headed to the river north of V town. I tossed them all into the water. A fellow can't be too careful. Picked up a couple new ones and will be watching them very carefully.
Just a heads up the pawn you recruited was not a official capcom pawn but a fake(you need to notice that). Also I am not saying the official capcom pawn can't have the plague either.
I've had several pawns who sit down and back talked any pawn that said something about it. I never got the pop up for dragon plague. Interestingly enough all of these pawns did have the straightforward personality
I keep pawns until they’re 10-12 levels below me. So my first time getting that message was at lvl 45. And you can interrupt the dragon plague by attacking the dragon I’ve heard
lol I give it to you the "Subscribers plague" was a good one :P By the way: You can raise some helmets in the equipment options or remove their glasses manually, they don't give stats anyway.
I had someone pawn, Mira, AMAZING pawn BTW. I was running around the woods with Mira, and at night she transformed in real time to a grim reaper looking character that would teleport and used a scythe. It was no joke, killed all NPCs around the area, and would take half my HP bar and stamina on a blocked hit. I had to run. Not gonna lie, for 3 seconds I was like WTF. Within 8 seconds after everyone was dead, and I ran my butt off.
@henrikaugustsson4041 I think it was a glitch at this point. I have over 200 hours in. I've had it happen sleeping at an inn and wipe the town. I think one of those Dullards popped and when it did that pawn was kicked out of the group. It happened instantly, and it was a Dullard (or whatever you call those). Location was the master culling quest on the east side. Camped, went to sleep at that fire the fight starts at, then sleep interrupted, she disappeared and Dullard (I was level 20 or so at the time) ripped us a new one. A glitch, but it did kick Mira 100% so I assumed it was her transforming. No Mura body, not anything. The other pawn and mine stayed. So I assumed Mira had dragons plague and popped at midnight.
@@user-cv7ms2yf1w it’s called a Dullahan. I love fighting them, even if they beat me to a pulp. They’re so deliciously terrifying. The sound, the mist, your lantern going out as you approach… Epic atmosphere!
My main pawn had that for an eternity and I thought it was just normal behavior. I only noticed him having headaches after beeing thrown off a cliff so again I thought that was normal.
I just had this happen to me and after about 7 days all or most of the NPC in the town affected were back up and functioning like normal so I cannot support the "Fake News" claim but for me waiting (not really just waiting but preping to start NG+ cause the town died) and such Bakbattahl was pretty much revived, I can speak for other peoples experience but personally for mine after sometime to town was revived, Maybe there is something to do with the Sphinx still being active in the world the prevents it but for me I finished the Sphinx stuff and the Sphinx was not active in my world state
Two things. 1. That wasn't an official Capcom pawn. We can name our pawns SphinxMother, Father etc in character creator. Official Capcom pawns usually say Capcom Lv1 at the bottom. 2. The Eternal Wake Stone can be duplicated in the check point rest town via the forgery system.
You don't have to brine your main pawn especially if you're raising their affinity to get the high affinity pawn ending. Simply rest at a campfire when they are at the apex of the sickness and they will pass the disease to another pawn. You can then either, dismiss that pawn or brine them.
@@timothyprice3264 clone of the Eternal Wakestone? first you have to have one, then can make clones at Ibrahim's Scrap Store located in Checkpoint Rest Town
I played the entire game and now I wonder how many I passed it onto my pawn was always sassy with sitting down and the healing but it did not affect my game at all so not sure what is meant to happen but apart from her being a sassy little sasquatch nothing else
Never fear this. I myself had the Dragonsplague on one Pawn. I had a incredible idea, why not dupe my Eternal Wakestone at the lil shop in Checkpoint Rest Town where the shopkeep creates forgeries. This one is legit and costs a pretty penny. 😊
The sit down mechanic is not always a clue. A pawn with straight forward inclination will do that on occasion in my game. I offer my pawn to cuthulu and she still will sit. Straight forward will sometimes just be lazy like that in my 132h of playing. Also, but I haven't verified yet, you may be able to forgery that eternal. In short the eyes, headache, and attitude are your best giveaways in my experience
It takes time. My main pawn took several in game days, and it never seemed to act differently, until I rested at home (I assume resting at inn or house triggers the same thing?). After resting, my main pawn was shaking her head and grabbing her ears, so it was super obvious, and she was totally normal until that point. Her eyes turned red that morning as well. I carried her to the water by town, and tossed her in. After reviving her, she has so far been fine ever since (and I still have the pawn that infected her in the party, unsure if she can be re-infected).
You can duplicate the eternal wake stone from Ibrahims forgery, it has same effect as original one , Assuming they gave a way to at least counter it a bit
the sphinx riddle DOES NOT have to be from capcom just letting anyone who doesnt know yet. the sphinx says at the end "all is in the name" meaning just hsving that name is whats needed
I was in a fight with a lesser dragon where my main pawn and another pawn were possessed. But luckily my main pawn subsequently died and I dismissed all my other pawns immediately after the fight. So yeah I’m pretty much at a point where I have to wipe my party after every dragon fight which is pretty tedious since farming dragons is a thing. 😡
This mechanic is tied to the true ending and using the same pawn in NG+. Im not even convinced the Drake mind control has anything to do with it. Current theory going around is that patient zero was someone who speed-ran the game within the first week.
If a pawn has nice stats but also has glasses or some head gear that adds very little to their stats, I just remove that item from them and let it return to the pawn's host player.
I got dragonplagued in vernworth and I revived brant, then sat on a bench and dozed off a couple times on the bench and they all came back like nothing happened. you don't have to believe me but the bench trick worked for me.
Similar thing happened to me with dragons plague…I had my pawns for a few days but I was doing all the palace quests so I didn’t see my pawns a lot. Finished a main quest mission where I had to run into the inn to escape the guards. Went to sleep and the pawn I hadn’t seen in hours murdered everyone. Brant, Sven, waldhar…I really hate this mechanic
I commanded my pawns to “wait” and one them said “no, i will act on my own accord” i threw that pawn off a cliff right away 😂

3:50 I've heard this from my main pawn a lot, but i still have yet to get the notification for the plague
i already in underworld part is that possible to get dragon plague too?
Even though i would sometimes forget to do that and everyone dies, most of them do come after passing time for about 7 days.
devourallgods in game days, I was like that too until I found out they come back eventually lol
I had a super helpful pawn who was showing signs, i was so annoyed when she just stood there and let medusa turn her to stone but now im glad💀
Wow I dint know that thx 👍
Happened to me in bakbattahl, woke up and thought I had a winter soldier episode and killed everyone
For the first time my paws make a strange statement and the dualsense make a noise….
The second that box showed up when I recruited a pawn I tweeted them into the sea even tho I swear their eyes were brown … also does anyone know what happen to the pawn at the very beginning who says we’ll meet again I haven’t been able to find that guy anywhere or is that a main story spoiler …
you can actually have the guy at checkpoint, forge an enternal wakestone for you, endless eternal wakestones boys!!
Also if you got to your equipment you can raise the visor of most helmets and still se their eyes
for the record that first line is not a sign of the pleage as it dependents on pawns personality interaction
but any other line where the pawns acts in defiance towards the arisen is
YEET or No YEET?........... YEET!!!!!!!
Hey, You can also just talk to the guy overseeing the morgue and ask him to mark the character you are looking for.
I just dismiss all pawns when I sleep in town regardless lol I'm not dealing with that again
I've had several pawns who sit down and back talked any pawn that said something about it. I never got the pop up for dragon plague. Interestingly enough all of these pawns did have the straightforward personality
A pawn talks back? Right to the brine right away
That's why i change pawns every single day and i also throw my main pawn to water every day
I do that just before I sleep. No more worries. Lol
I keep pawns until they’re 10-12 levels below me. So my first time getting that message was at lvl 45. And you can interrupt the dragon plague by attacking the dragon I’ve heard
Give em a nice ole shower
You are going to miss out on the high affinity with your pawn ending, since everytime you do that, it lowers their affinity.
lol I give it to you the "Subscribers plague" was a good one :P
By the way: You can raise some helmets in the equipment options or remove their glasses manually, they don't give stats anyway.
i just realize i get dragonplague from this guy -->> Ozzy, until now i play and sleep so far nothing happen ... how long does it take ? lol
So they actually turn even when you're not resting?
Eternal Wakestone can be duplicated if you go with the forgery guy. Somehow, it works and it's worth to keep 2 with yourself
A pawn questions me camping to much.. have fun in the sink with your 2 buddies..
Mine have always questioned me camping too much from the first day of play
I gave my pawn closed eyes, so I apologize if someone gets her and can’t tell if she has the plague on your game
My main pawn had that for an eternity and I thought it was just normal behavior. I only noticed him having headaches after beeing thrown off a cliff so again I thought that was normal.
I have been resting only after killing off all my party and resting in town alone then I resurrect my pawn and party up afterwards.
You can then either, dismiss that pawn or brine them.
when we dismiss guest pawns do they take the loot with them or not ?
they dont it goes to your storage
Even when we yeet them 😂?

those important NPC did auto back to life after "A WEEK", and second you can make clone of the Eternal Wakestone, but not the normal one.
How??
@@timothyprice3264 clone of the Eternal Wakestone? first you have to have one, then can make clones at Ibrahim's Scrap Store located in Checkpoint Rest Town
Im gonna spread this
I played the entire game and now I wonder how many I passed it onto my pawn was always sassy with sitting down and the healing but it did not affect my game at all so not sure what is meant to happen but apart from her being a sassy little sasquatch nothing else
just had this happen last night and immediatly tossed the pawn off a cliff into a lake
8:50 Apparently you can get usable forgerys of eternal wakestones. (Just saw a video of it, haven't tried.)
I've had the message pop up several times and nothing happened after I slept
It takes time. My main pawn took several in game days, and it never seemed to act differently, until I rested at home (I assume resting at inn or house triggers the same thing?). After resting, my main pawn was shaking her head and grabbing her ears, so it was super obvious, and she was totally normal until that point. Her eyes turned red that morning as well. I carried her to the water by town, and tossed her in. After reviving her, she has so far been fine ever since (and I still have the pawn that infected her in the party, unsure if she can be re-infected).
You can duplicate the eternal wake stone from Ibrahims forgery, it has same effect as original one ,
Assuming they gave a way to at least counter it a bit
I regularly yeet my pawns, just to be on the safe side. 😁
the sphinx riddle DOES NOT have to be from capcom just letting anyone who doesnt know yet. the sphinx says at the end "all is in the name" meaning just hsving that name is whats needed
You can unequip their gear so you can rent the ones with glasses and helmets
If you're playing the game offline do you still get the dragons plague
I think yes, if you fight against a dragon and your pawn is hold by the dragan as shown in the video
I keep my pawns as high as 10 days. Most of the time, only about 5. Maybe I'll be alright
So is better to sleep alone? 😮😢
This just happened to me, and I heard about the waiting and I did wait a week and all the NPCs came back so it is real and does work! Thankfully!
It’s not fake news. They town important people come back to life after a week in game time. You need to rest to do so
love it
I got dragonplagued in vernworth and I revived brant, then sat on a bench and dozed off a couple times on the bench and they all came back like nothing happened. you don't have to believe me but the bench trick worked for me.
You can do forgery on eternal wakestone, expensive (30k), but i made 3 just incase.
no funky, that pawn did just say she had the plague.
and second thats not an official pawn
I didn’t get to complete the sphinx she flew off after I got her health down 💀so no eternal wakestone for me😂
What if you camp and sleep? You’re not in the town so I don’t think you would kill any NPC in town??
That’s a way
I'm glad I only put red eyes on my Arisen and not on my main pawn :')
