I sampled Escapade Gourmande after hearing so many beautiful things about it. I feel I got wrapped up in the high praises of that fragrance. It’s beautiful and very well crafted but it doesn’t speak to me nor do I feel compelled to wear it. I’m learning to sample fragrances at at least a 5 ML preferably 10 ML to make sure I absolutely need it.
Gris Dior definitely needs to be tried on the skin. It's so earthy and it can be overpowering at first. But after it's dried down on the skin for awhile it's the most beautiful clean fresh rose scent. Very classy and elegant. I didn't like it when I first tried it but it grew on me and now I love it. And I've gotten compliments every time I've worn it. I bought the big 250 mL bottle lol
I have been ordering samples from scent split for quite some time and I am so glad I can sample most fragrances before buying a full bottle. I am with you on Peche Cardinal...😍

Hi Hayley, I totally get you with the Xerjoff fruits & musk DNA. I smell it in Terenzi as well, and it is not for me, very screechy. On cherry: I already have quite a few cherry fragrances, so a new one would have to really stand out. I don't feel Indecent Cherry would do that, just going off the notes and my gut feeling. A cherry that I did add recently however is Vicebomb, and it is so delicious and dreamy. Also, I feel Fire at Will is different from Escapade, so it would not be redundant to have both, even if the difference isn't like night and day.
I recently tried Valaya by PDM, Dirty Rice by BTSO, The Architects Club by Arquiste, Vicebomb by Simone Andreoli, Bianco Latte by Giardini di Toscana and Akron’s Bake. My hits were Bianco Latte, Dirty Rice, Vicebomb and The Architects Club. I like Akron’s Bake but I want to smell Lira first before I buy one or the other since there is a comparison of those two. Valaya has me on the fence, one minute she comes off with pretty Cassili vibes and the next she is giving a bit of Percival. I am going to try her one more time because the showdown is between her and Cassili for which one I purchase next.
Your vanilla scent has set me off again 😁 the notes sound incredible! I know what you mean about that one note that sticks, mine is jasmine I just zoom in and can't tolerate it even if the fragrance itself is beautiful, just one of those things 🌟
Just bought Blanche Bete last night after swooning over my decant. Chance eau fraîche arrived yesterday and I was underwhelmed. I need to play with that one for a bit longer. I am loving Tales from Zanzibar at the moment. The guava note really shines bright on my skin but sits close to my scent bubble. The house of oud’s Wabisabi isn’t working out for me neither is the Hidden Shades from that line. I do own Bon Bon Pop and boy does that one pump out the “Wealthy “ vibes when I was lying on a floatie in the pool. I asked my daughter why she doesn’t wear her perfume to the pool and she said because mommy you have the more expensive ones with higher quality lol!!! I’ve no also been testing the hyped Gritti line. My favorite is Duchessa and Gossip Night. Chantilly makes me nauseous for some reason. Thank you for continuing to highlight purchasing samples before blind buying even though I still blind buy, but I’m slowly getting better. Time heals all wounds haha
Accento overdose grew on me. I know the opening is alittle strong/harsh, but it dries down into the most beautiful powdery floral. Complements galore, can't stop wearing it ❤😊

Definitely want to chime in on Accento Overdose. To me it smells nothing like Erba Pura. It actually resembles another Xerjoff fragrance, which is Join The Club 400! They're both powerful white florals that can blast you out of the room, lol, or wear YOU if you're not the strong, confident, boss woman type. I do like both and they're on my wish list, but they're pretty far down the list. Why? First of all I sampled Lady White Snake from Stephane Humbert Lucas, which has become my HG white floral. Secondly, Accento does have that screechiness in the opening (maybe from the pine? To me it smells like eucalyptus) that 400 doesn't have, so I would buy JTC 400 before Accento. But on its own Accento Overdose is a unique, powerful white floral that deserves to be tried. It's a really good fragrance that stands out in its category.
I recently got a sample of escapade gourmande and the first thing I thought was "wow smells good but I can literally have this same scent out of my other vanilla perfumes" yes it's definitely irrelevant imo if you have many vanillas already. Extremely similar to what we already have as vanilla collectors
I got a sample of Mud from BTSO simply because the notes sounded interesting. It was love at first sniff and I immediately purchased a bottle. If you try it, would love to hear your thoughts. Don’t let the name scare you.

Got a lot of experience with Xerjoff. To me, the primary accords in Accento Overdose are not fruity nor sweet - they're white floral and green. Worth noting that on Parfumo, the Erba Pura comparison is so voted down that it doesn't even show up. The drydown does have that Xerjoff musk & fruit core, as this scent is a flanker of the original Accento which is a weak pineapple combined with a ton of musk. But I'd say Overdose has more phases to it, so it's more fitting for somebody who doesn't like that overt loudness of the Erba Pura profile. Recent discoveries: Hits: Ani X, Fragrance du Bois "AM", Ingenious Ginger, original Russian Tea from Masque Milano, Xerjoff's "Golden Moka" Meh: Hacivat X, Wulong Cha X, HSW X, FYF X, Ex Nihilo's "French Affair", Ex Nihilo's "Cologne 352", MFK's Aqua Media Miss: Hacivat Oud, Russian Tea Oud, BDK's "Vanille Leather", entire house of Wilgermain Got Pas ce Soir Extrait on the way, got a couple samples in my drawer still (Masque Milano Ruby collection, and new Ex Nihilos).
Thank you. It’s odd that I can’t get past whatever screechy note I perceive in Accento Overdose, it get it with quite a few fragrances. It bothers me so much as others will have completely different experiences. I am super excited about Pas ce Soir, my friend was able to sample it last week and she said it is really good. She isn’t a big fan of the original, likes it but doesn’t own it. Whereas she prefers the new extrait. Curious to see how I will feel, as I do love the original personally. I also got Ani X, I prefer it over the OG! I will keep the OG in my collection I think but for me Ani X is smoother around the edges! Interesting on BDK Vanille leather, really mixed responses. I did sample in Harrods and I get almost zero leather but I do enjoy it.
@@hayley.clough Re: the BDK - that was also my experience. It smelled like a dark woody, white floral scent. Minimum vanilla, and ~0 leather. I'm sure somebody would like it, but that scent screams designer. They even got a designer perfumer to do it, so trying to sell it for €200 makes it feel like bad value. I suspect I'm going to end up in the same scenario with the Pas ce Soir flanker - I doubt they'll manage to make that scent unisex or masculine leaning to the point where I'd like it. Still looking for my sample of FDB "Lovers".
Accento Overdose is a top 10, poss a top 5 for me. I wore it more in Spring than anything else except possibly Guidance. Even Hubby likes it, and he's not into fragrance x
The only one I tried is escapade gourmand and i didnt like it. its too smokey on my skin when it warms up and i didnt give me alot of vanilla but i havent smelled it in almost a year. I also think it smelled just like Fire at Will also gave me the same smokey scent. I have the same problem with that xerjoff note its also similar to tiziana terenzi dna i really dont like the musk you are mentioning i really dont like that dna i tried Delox and almost threw up

Accento Overdose oh yes, I have it since 3 years. This is definitely not Erba Pura, which I don't like. Accento Overdose is more about jasmin, fruits and nice pine eucalyptus base.
I just can’t get any of the notes listed as something is really overpowering my nose in the composition. Which is such a shame as the notes sound like something I would enjoy

What I really hate in Erba Pura is the horrible base : synthetic musk (😩), vanilla and Amber. This is not the case in Accento Overdose. Generally same synthetic, horrible musk You can find in Simone Andreoli, Tiziana Terenzi.... Ok... But... If you looking still for some beautiful, full on natural ingredients vanilla almond parfume please try PATRIZIA DE NICOLAI KISS ME INTENSE. Absolutely divine. And some of her compositions are georgeus. Like Cuir Cuba and some about rose. Big hugs for you girl ❤️

I recently sampled MDCI Peche Cardinal. I absolutely love that fragrance it is on my wishlist. To me it’s the classiest peach fragrance I’ve smelt.

Tried the new Bdk parfums Vanille leather, got a decant from etsy. A different kind of vanilla. You'll enjoy it x
