I had to purchase a size up with Revit Sand gloves, I usually wear a L but they were too tight so I bought an XL, and then the fingers were too long, causing touchscreen to be very inconvenient.

Different manufacturers can mean different fit. Unfortunately, sizing is not universal. Glad you were able to get the right size.

Alpinestars chart says I sit at a Medium are you sure a size up to a Large would fit me best? Im exactly in the middle of medium

If you are inbetween sizes, then size up.

Does the palm area fit as snug as the last model? Without the extra material wrinkling up.
