    Every time he comes up for parole I wonder why he wants out so bad. He won't last long if they ever do grant him parole.

    What I enjoy most about News during this time/era, was how it was reported and the different angles.... In the 9 mins we learned not only about John and the killer lives, but also how it affected the world, and even what the President at the time felt about it.... ❤️❤️❤️.......

      @@marcyfan I mean it would be like running an entire story on Nicki Minaj‘s death today which is absurd, and was most likely a fluff piece for some interest group and even politically connected in someway. I don’t even think John Wayne or Satchmo got that kind of treatment. I mean Satchmo got a three minute fluff piece, but this is a whole 10 minutes how about someone unaffiliated with the US government like satchmo was, and to him the death of a popstar was more or less relegated to tabloid news articles in worth.

      @@nobilesnovushomo58 Those aren't at all accurate comparisons, Lennon was then (and still) considered one of the greatest modern songwriters internationally, Minaj is not, and as for John Wayne, at that point the spaghetti Westerns of the 60s and 70s rendered his typical movies outdated, plus his appeal was mostly in the US, not international.

    John Lennon sang "All you need is Love". It is difficult to have love when kids are hungry or elderly have nothing in their bank account. He could have opened a charity program to help people out. Such as: Bono or Elton John. Instead of only thinking about himself and his family.

    Lennon would have been a thorn in the side of Trump had he lived. He was the most political of the Beatles and Nixon tried to deport him over an old marijuana charge though the real reason was Lennon very publicly opposing the Vietnam War
