@Dodgeranimash first of all its a BBC movie. secondly, if i recall correctly then yes, the lion saves the cubs in the movie...but he doesn't fight the hyenas they just run away when they see him coming...

I hate the way Hyenas are portrayed in The Lion King! Why can't Hyenas be the heros for once?!
+Hyena Channel Well the main characters are lions. The enemy of the lion is the hyena so they chose them to be the enemies. And hyenas aren't really that cool compared to lions.
Black Panther First things you said I guess I can agree on.. But then why in the world did they make the warthog a friend in The Lion King when lions kill warthogs?
The last thing you said "And hyenas aren't really that cool compared to lions." I disagree on. Hyenas are actually pretty amazing animals, and in my opinion, are more interesting than lions.
Hyena Channel They are interesting creatures but still lions are what most people think about when they think Africa. In real life Mufasa would have killed at least one of those hyenas. And I really don't know why Pumba is a warthog, this is all based on hamlet so maybe Pumba is based off one of those characters

Aw snap, i didn't know Zazu was actually sent in the birdie boiler in real life, that was always one of the funniest and weirdest parts of the movie, man i know Zazu's ass was steaming like hell. Where ever Zazu is, i know after that birdie boiler explosion to his ass, that scared him for life.

I never understood this part of the movie. If Scar wanted the hyenas to kill Mufasa, Why didn't he tell them to do so in the first place?
Scar is at fault, it's not their fault. Go give them the food.
