- Today is our LAST day at Aulani on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and it was a wild ride! After a huge storm rolls in, me and the kids find ourselves in a tough spot. Good news, the Rainbow Reef finally opened up (although Addie ended up hating it). Bad news though, Chris's flight home was delayed by 3 HOURS in LA! My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. One of our cats growing up, when my sister was Addie’s age, she could drag him around by his neck (yes my parents told her to be gentle lol) and would tuck him into bed in her dolls crib (he would stay there all night 😂). She could do absolutely ANYTHING to him and he couldn’t have cared less lol. He was a Tonkinese and they’re such affectionate cats
The next tonkinese we had used to follow mum around the house screaming and whacking her heels until she picked him up. She had to do everything one handed because she had to hold the cat 😂

It was so sweet to hear Tommy call you mom. I wasn't sure if they(Tommy and Caden) called you that or if they just called you Jess and this was my first time hearing it ♥️ obviously it wouldn't matter if they did call you Jess but it was just super cute 😊🥰

@@leannepaxton5012 Families work in different ways, what works for some may not work for others. I call my step-dad ‘dad’ all the time - my bio dad doesn’t mind, he acknowledges that he was another person who raised me, just gets confusing when I have to specify which ‘dad’ I’m talking about 🤣
@@SarahW2007 , of course, I know that everyone is different and I really hope that the boys' bio mum is cool with it.
If I was in her shoes I would hope that I could be cool with it, but I honestly don't know if I could. I imagine if I was to actually hear it, it would sting.
Although, I'm also someone who hates to upset other people, so I sure as heck would do my best to put on an Oscar worthy act of either pretending I didn't hear it! Or pretending that it didn't bother me. But then I would probably excuse myself and go and cry quietly in the bathroom!!!!
It would certainly take some getting used to!

My son-in-law is a pilot and flies for Southwest Airlines he can also fly helicopters he takes my daughter on so many vacations we get to play for half price basically free wherever we want to travel to so glad you guys had such a fun time it looks so beautiful there Jessica you are incredible mother I really wish more mothers were like you you're kind and patient and your fun and energetic and you support your kids and all their decisions you're awesome I binge watch your videos over and over because I like it when you post everyday never get tired of watching them your kids are all so cute I'm so happy you found such a great husband Chris is a really good guy great dad when I think you're very beautiful and your husband and you make a really cute couple I hope you're doing better since your grandmother passed away once again I'm so sorry for your loss but I hope all is going really well God bless you and your beautiful family

Hi Jess!!! I absolutely love you! I just thought you should know they probably closed the pools when it was raining hard because they couldn’t see the bottom! I learned from becoming a lifeguard that when it is raining hard it makes it so you can’t see the bottom of the pool, and that is dangerous just in case someone drowns and sinks to the bottom! You were right though, they also close the pools for thunder and lightning! Again love you!!!!!!

I’ve wanted to visit Hawaii ever since you guys first went years ago, my want to go only being made stronger by watching Elvis Presley’s 1961 film Blue Hawaii for the first time … 😂 This vlog had me thinking of it.
A gecko in your kitchen is a blessing. I lived on Oahu back in 1988-1991 and decided to make one to keep in my kitchen. A cross stitched one on the side of my cabinet keeps me with my 'Ohana". I'll get back someday and finish my days. Let me know if you would like a little gecko for your kitchen. 4 by 4 framed.

Hey Jess, if you want to have your hair not soak up as much chlorine if you get it soaked with like a shower water or what not your hair won’t absorb as much chlorine
We were stationed there on hickam and just moved back to the mainland in March of thus year. My husband is now retired from the Airforce.
I’m surprised you guys didn’t do more haiwai exploring stuff instead of just pool stuff you could do anywhere. Either way it’s a vacay!

Hey Jess I have a question, I know you all went swimming with the fish, I also know you all have sunscreen, how do the fish handle the sunscreen in general? Maybe that’s why the water was so cold too? Maybe they have to exchange water for them or if it was warmer the sunscreen could come off?
I have 3 kids, one whom is on the spectrum, and honestly we haven’t had a bad flight experience, but I think it’s because we prepare and take snacks, headphones and I always apply calming/sleep oil on them all, even the teen lol.
I tried to snorkel with the fish at typhoon lagoon in florida a good few years ago now I think 2002 and I hated it so Adie isn't the only one :P

@@dominiquexo4772 if lifeguards can’t see your dead body at the bottom we have an issue. Can’t see can’t save pretty easy never changed in the years I have been a lifeguard. Also thunder means lightning is around yes you can die from being in the water when lightning hits.

@@dominiquexo4772 again if the rain is hard enough and you do not have a clear line of sight to the bottom dot you can not have anyone swimming. It is standard practice. I lifeguarded for over 12 years.
