I've done four solo cruises on NCL & I absolutely love them. In comparison to other cruise lines, they are also much more affordable as they don't charge you the sro rate. Highly recommend.

The Breakaway looks like the Escape. I enjoy cruising on NCL. In my opinion it’s the best for solo cruisers like myself, and I too like eating alone.
I 100% agree about it being best for solo cruisers! And that's cool about eating alone! It's amazing how some us like it while others prefer to eat with others. LOL!
I need to get back on NCL. We did the big vlogger’s cruise so it was always something going on. I need to try without the fuss 😂
Yes! There's a big difference when we cruise solo and with others! I'm repeating a couple of lines because I went with others and don't know if my final thoughts were because of the ship or my friends! LOL
24 hours for pizza is crazy. On princess and Carnival I was able to order at any time, but it did take a while.
I agree. On all other ships and sailings I’ve been on, I could order at any time. This is the first time I’ve seen a 24 hour requirement for pizza. I don’t mind waiting, but 24 hours? Really? Thank you do much sir sharing and commenting! ❤️
Hey Sig. I’m a rare one that loves American cheese in my eggs. How disappointing cruise ships don’t have it. In the 90’s no que and tickets for tenders. You just went to the tender when ready to get off 🤷🏻♀️🤦♀️. O’Sheehan’s sucked on the Gem in 2017. Was 24hrs so great for late night but every time we went they were always out of something at 3pm or 2am. Very disappointing. Love a port day on the ship. Exactly. Less crowds. Was admiring the atrium chairs when you were above. The kissing cam got the brother and sister 😂. Thanks for sharing 🤗
I like my eggs a variety of different ways too. I'm sure you can request it. Or on NCL, order 24 hours in advance...lol. Yes, I can see O'Sheehan's being great to late night food. An alternative to pizza. Thanks so much for watching, Cydney!!!

Even when I cruise with family, we have slightly different interests so we aren't always together 24/7 but we do have meals together.😅
And that's the greatest thing about cruising with family! LOL!

Yes, I agree...that atrium space was congested most of the time. And I'm with you....the only time I eat in the MDR on a ship is for breakfast or lunch. Because usually that's the only place where I can get traditional gluten free breakfast options. I don't do dinners there anymore. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, Janis!
May I pick your brain please? As a person with gluten and dairy issues, do they have alternative coffee creamer? I know it’s stupid but I have a habit to feed and I’m going solo trans Atlantic in February 2025. It’s my first cruise which is why I’m obsessively watching videos. I really love yours! You are giving me real life relevant information. Thanks.
Thank you so much! And I don’t have problem with dairy and I didn’t make special note of the options in this vlog but will do so in the future. I don’t recall visibly obvious options but that doesn’t mean they aren’t available. I was constantly asked if gluten was my only allergy. And with them not putting cheese on my pizza, I suspect they expect gluten and dairy intolerances together. I’m sorry I don’t have a more definitive answer for you but I will start noting this in the future!
I enjoy dining in Savor while aboard an NCL cruise. It’s always an enjoyable experience.

Yeah, I think the regular and allergen dining experiences can be quite different in the same restaurant. But yes, this was the first time I've ever experienced a 24 hour requirement on ALL things gluten free EVERYWHERE on the ship. And if the order is messed up or if I want more...I'm SOL! LOL
