As a college student, I attended Elmer McCurdy's funeral. Our college, Central State University, (now UCO), donated an antique horse drawn hearse to use in the event and the Guthrie Cowboy Re-enactors at the time dressed up in 1880's attire held the funeral and put him in the ground. It was a very cool event which I will always remember!
Taking supplies to fix gravestones is awesome... everyone has a story to tell & deserves to be remembered, that's what makes this channel stand out from all the rest . Thanks for the uploads.
These are the videos I miss from you Lamont. Going to the cemetery showing Graves the name on the Graves and how they died. You need to make more of these
Hey Lamont can you do more videos about Military service members. Those who did great things and even those who did horrible things ? Those who had tragic deaths ? As Vet I enjoy your channel.
My Mother passed away 6 days after my sister did, so I can imagine how the lady who lost her husband and son close to the same time must have felt. It is devastating. I will never be the same. I left the state a few months after the deaths and never plan to go back.
Oklahoma became a state in 1907. Thank you for your videos . Born and raised in Oklahoma and also a Native American Choctaw . Guthrie was actually Oklahoma's original capital . Funny story .
Great video I remember hearing about that case in the bar that’s horrible 4 yrs for being aggressive and killing someone sounds like he killed a wonderful man 🥲
I love your videos. You don't make us sit through a long, drawn-out introduction. You tell stories like everyone is sitting around the kitchen table, it's nice. You give the dead recognition in a respectful way. I have introduced many people to your channel. Not one was disappointed.

That was a great story. You told it so well, I was riveted. I liked the part where he hide out in a barn and you said it seemed like a good hideout for someone with diarrhea. 😂 You brought it all to life.

However, my hubby and I are upset, that you were so close to us and we didn't get to meet you. 20 miles from us 😔 Hopefully, next time your here, we could say hi. Love ya, Stanhouses ❤️

She was a huge Washington Football fan . She requested 6 Washington Football players to be her Pall Bearers , so they could LET HER DOWN ONE LAST TINE! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great storytelling Lamont. I always feel like I’m listening to a good friend, sharing a burger and beer, when l listen to you. Great , interesting personalities from really fascinating times and locations. I feel like everybody has an interesting story in one regard or another……well done !
I watched four RUclipsrs consistently. You’re at the top of my list. Love your stuff. McCurdy was a fascinating story to me since I’m a history buff-especially on the old west era

Some crazy stories up this way if you ever make it up here! Also, would love to see the full old school plumbing video!! I live up here.. & never heard this story!! Thanks for all you do 💯
Shoulder belts were required to be standard equipment in all new cars for the 1968 model year begining in September 1967 when the new cars hit the showroom floor, some luxury cars offered them as options in 1965-66. Back in 1949 Nash Rambler car company was the first to offer lap seat belts as an option; but very few ordered them installed, throughout the 1950s into the 1960s they were only an extra option to order on your new car.

George’s story was very, very common. And, yes, I would be very interested in the development of sewer systems in rural American counties. I was raised in Knoxville, TN, and there was a 19th century farm house that I admired that someone once told me had only had electricity laid on and plumbing installed in the 1960’s. It’s probably gone now. It was really closed to a road in West Knoxville…

Lauretta Long: No seatbelts back then. So the person driving the vehicle in which she was a passenger was at fault for the accident, not the person driving the vehicle that was hit. These stories you tell are endlessly fascinating.
In the 50’s, most cars had steel or aluminum dashboards, no seat/or shoulder harnesses, steering columns that did not collapse and windshields that shattered, sending hundreds of shards of glass into passengers faces/ bodies, jaws of life were things of the future as were airbags.
