- I've found a Drummer for the Band, we had an awesome jam but I had to repair and modify my Robster Jazzmaster afterwards!

that jazzmaster is absolutely beautiful, usually not a fan of gold pickguards but man the red just makes it pop out
Yeah the candy apple red and gold is a really nice combo.
That Jazzmaster has been through so many iterations! I like the look with the gold pickguard. Either cream or black pickup covers would look sweet with it.

It sure does, you can't beat the adrenaline rush no matter how many times you've played live.
No so fun fact, this is why so many musicians turn to drugs to replicate the feeling.

I’ll never forget the experience of meeting him backstage after a play (just local theatre nothing big here lol) and seeing/experiencing the vibe of the people etc and thinking-- holy shit this is EXACTLY like being in a band etc
I STILL remember how awesome it was playing in a crappy band very briefly in the late 90s (go Gen X!)

Looking good, I just bought my first ever proper fender Stratocaster. Always owned squires. I got the new Fender Player ll series. It's amazing I got the sunburst one. I've a butterscotch 50s classic vibe Telecaster (squire) I'm selling for £260 if you or anyone you know is interested in buying it.

The bridge pick up sounded quite nazaly at first but ok with distortion . I modded a Ibanez that I bought on ebay with some problems and fitted two P90s and it sounded great , I have since changed the bridge back to a Humbucker and it is even better in my opinion . Good luck with the band project and hope we will get to see some of your work .
Yeah it doesn't help using the studio amp, sounds a lot better through my marshall tube amp 💯👌
Every pickup has a place, certain songs etc.
Playing live I tend to default to humbuckers, so see how it pans out with the band in terms of what setup I will use.
@@theguitarmanifesto Thats right I was basing my comment on what I prefer the sound to be like . But not all tunes require the same sound instrument ,as when listening to any of my favourite bands CDs , track to track instruments and sounds vary . Keep up with the content I was missing your uploads for a while there .

These squire deluxe are such good guitars..
Yeah they're my favourite Squiers along with J Mascis as it's basically the same guitar.
The necks are super nice to play with the Jumbo frets. I need to get another one of them necks for this one.

I bought a pickguard for my Tele off eBay and it did NOT fit. So be careful folks, Tele pickguards alter a lot apparently
Avoid the cheap generic ones, Vanson and musiclily fit a charm every time and I've purchased a LOT of them for many different guitars 😁
