I have to be honest. I love watching Ingrid she’s like a long time friend. But I skip all the parts where she talks about her sponsored products. I’ve just learned not to trust her recommendations anymore- even if I know she really does like them. I get people evolve and people need to make their money some how. I just miss the old Ingrid that felt like she had passion for making videos- not just to pay the bills. Sorry Ingrid. Just speaking the truth :(

I’ve had a pretty bad day. Migraine, congested and just pooped from the day. I lay down and the first video RUclips suggests is yours and it just makes me smile.. u just seem like u had a good day and makes me realize I can have a good one too.. just ur energy screams from the video and made me feel so calm.. thank you..

can you make a video on why you think your engagement on youtube has gone down so drastically? i kno you've been on youtube for over ten years but there are other ppl who have been doing it just as long and they've still maintained their engagement. you would think with over 3 million subscribers that engagement could never get this low. i don't mean to be critical, im just genuinely curious what happened. completely different content like vlogs instead of doing makeup tutorials that ppl originally subscribed for? too many sponsored videos? no one has post notifs on bc you don't tell ppl to do it? too many beauty gurus on youtube now? the algorithm doesn't promote old channels as much? it would be cool to get some insight on this and how you really feel about it
Erin S. It’s probably because her content is way different from what it used to be. She’s more intentional with her purchasing and the content she creates now, and that unfortunately probably doesn’t resonate to a huge amount of her audience. I also think her LGBTQ content doesn’t appeal to everyone (which is lame.) Long time subscriber here. Those are just my initial thoughts.
Honestly, I have been a long time subscriber of Ingrid's and I have lost some interest in her for the last few years. I have been subscribed to other RUclipsrs as long as I have been to Ingrid but I don't think I have lost as much interest as I had in her compared to the other RUclipsrs, honestly. I know and understand that people change as they grow older so their content is going to change. I still watch all her videos and will continue to though.
Idk if a video needs to be made, but I think her content has changed and she's much more closed off than she used to be. She has set more boundaries which is great for her mental health, but not always so great for RUclips. I have been watching her for 9 years. We're similar in age, and if her other subscribers are around this age, then that could also have an impact. We're busy working adults who don't have as much free time to watch RUclips videos. Ingrid is still amazing though. I look around my home and see her product/book/homeware/etc. recommendations EVERYWHERE.
