    great video. how would a downwind specific board do as a general paddling/ cruising board for those flat days vs a traditional shorter board with less rocker .

      The 14' x 28" Blue Planet Bump Rider board shown in this video is designed for fast downwind speeds but also makes a great, stable touring/ cruising board. The planing hull is not quite as fast as a flatwater displacement hull but it is stable and easy to paddle in all conditions.     Silly question, how do you get back? Also what is the general width of boards for DWing?

      We shuttle cars and drive back, usually. Most downwind boards are 12’6 or longer and between 24” and 30” wide.
