Same 🥲. A damn shame how I took those shits for granted. I had the Spider-Man with the moped and tobey head, the one that had magnets, Norman with the chair, the goblin. I even got the Spider-Man 3 figures. I wasted so much of my pop’s money lmao .

Got mine yesterday and opened it today. Was able to stand mine with the tentacles just fine. The likeness of Alfred is spot on. He was de-aged in "No Way Home" to fit the time he came from.
I was able to do it but now they won’t stay in place I’m hoping they’re just loose and didn’t actually break
Not sure if you realize this but both of the small claws that have possibility should be on the top tentacles. The ones that are stuck open are the bottom claws they are not the same size the bigger claws go on the bottom.

Im more than happy with these as a Raimi display. Sure theyre not correct to their original appearances but they hit the right vibe and nostalgia carries them across the line. More than anything Im glad Hasbro gave them the budget they needed even if the price is rough.
I still remember an interview with alfred Molina and they brought out that figure and he laughed that they gave him chest muscles. "I have bitch tits"

It bugs me that all the reviews I've seen have put the wrong arms on the wrong tentacles. The articulated ones are supposed to be on top.
S/o to spider criminal. But in Spider-Man 2 ALL of the claws can mechanically shift & change.
So it really doesn’t matter.
@@-Anonymous-. True they can change, but for most of spiderman 2 and no way home, the lower tentacle's claws are always bigger than the upper claws.
Bro same it literally kills my ocd. Literally every review so far has annoyed me. It felt like I was the only one who paid attention to which claws go where.

BTW, the little claws that are articulated are on the top, and the big claws that don't move are on the bottom. Just for future reference.
The original Toy Biz version of Ock actually did have removable and bendy wire tentacles.
This will definitely be a figure that will require patience to play with. I am glad they went with the standard tentacles and not the nano-enhanced ones as this is more evergreen of a design.
They are in fact sculpted as the nano-enhanced ones, but the lack of red paint thankfully makes them look like the OG ones
I still really wish they would have added the yellow paint to the tentacles and made it look more silver metallic
@@rickysrockinreviews I think the gun-metal silver plastic they used is fine, seems to have a nice reflective look on it.
I'm actually glad they didn't add the yellow on them though, since they're technically the Nanotech ones the inaccuracy would have kinda pissed me off... what I wish they did was instead giving the claws a bit more articulation, at least the upper ones
@fabiomura08 really? I don't remember the nano tech staying with him throughout the movie I thought it was just for the bridge scene. Either way, I grew up with the original design so I favor it immensely. The reason I'm holding off on this guy is cause I feel a version more akin to Spider-Man 2 will come later... but that's me gambling haha
@@rickysrockinreviews He had the Nanothech since the bridge scene and up until he was cured in apartment, where he gave them back to Peter.
I too prefer the original design for the tentacles, the NWH one is way too busy for my taste and the red makes it worse.
That's why I actually prefer them unpainted this way.
The OG tentacles are way cooler, simpler in design but way more effective. They look like creepy spinal cords.
Oh, and I wouldn't bet about getting a true Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock with the correct tentacles, later down the line.
It's Hasbro we're talking about, plus this figure is already sold as being from Spider-Man 2, even though the tentacles clearly denounce it as from No Way Home.
So, if I'd were you, I'd get this one, and fast. I'm pretty sure it'll be sold out very quickly.
And you can always resell it if they make the version you really want.
As my favorite character and villain he will definitely be my next purchase. Ive wanted him since the movie first came out.
Man, some yellow paint detail added to the tenticals would tie this figure together as a great package.
Awesome looking figure! Wish the tentacles were painted but then they'd have to decide if they will go with the yellow for the default tentacles or the red for the Nano-tech tentacles. I think it's a good compromise to keep the tentacles in a solid gun-metal grey.

Looks pretty good I really really wish he comes with two pairs of tentacles with the regular versions that being the tentacles with the iron spider nanotech that he ripped off from the iron spider does integrated with his tentacles and the other one with the white lights that Doc Ock is cured thanks to our Peter Parker fixing his inhibitor chip that was destroyed in Spider-Man 2 pretty much regaining control of the tentacles.

Electro could easily (and imo should) be a deluxe figure. Have him come with a display stand that way if you want him hovering he can. A pair of fist and then translucent yellow hands with lightning shooting out. Have him come with two headsculpts, one being just a normal look and the other comes with the translucent yellow lighting mask that signifies his comic book look. More lightning effects.
I don't have a single clue where this thing is going but it's definitely on pre-order. I found Goblin and Tom Holland so I definitely need this. I'm still on the fence about Sandman. If we get Electro and Lizard then I'll have to get Sandman but for now he's less mandatory.
Also I appreciate you testing the claw so I don't have to risk fucking mine up lol.

They could redeco the train packaging of the Netflix Defenders set for a Spider-Man 2 2-Pack. Give this figure a bare chest and make a better Raimi Spider-Man. 11:05 Maybe try one in front and one behind.

There was a second version with the bendable tentacles during the toybiz run and the sunglasses pegs on the sides and the tentacles were removable
i do wish they looked like the originals rather then the nanotech version but its not bad. hopefully someone can make upgraded tentacle claws to give it more detail/articulation.

For the licensing thing, I’m not sure it’s the case here like with the Andrew fig. The Hot Toys version of Doc Ock is labeled as NWH and does have the Alfred Molina likeness whereas the Andrew one is also TASM 2 like the legends figure

Did anyone else have a problem with the bendable arms? When mine came I started to bend one of the arms and it cracked at the base on his back.
Got mine tonight and I had him in a good pose for the big feet to hold him up, he fell and one of the pincer parts broke off and the clasp it uses broke too so im down one pincer :(

Y’all gotta get your claw positioning right. lol The bigger ones go on the bottom two and the smaller ones go on the upper two. So many reviewers I’ve seen never seem to get it right. Like they’ve never seen the movies.

No, it's clearly meant to be Ock from No Way Home. The figure has the turtleneck that he wears in NHW. He is bare-chested in Spider-Man 2.
The packaging displaying the SM2 logo likely has something to do with likeness rights to Alfred Molina.

@MCUcollector24 Oh, I had the price of GG mixed up with Doc. But yeah, sucks about the paint. GG I can't believe he doesn't have ankle swivels for him to sit on his glider better. I'm happy to have these coming out, but I feel that Hasbro cut corners on what could have been better figures.

@@MCUcollector24During the entire video. Bottom-foot tentacles are the ones which can't move (both open and half-open), upper-arms are always triangular ones which are articulated.
All four in the movies can open and close. What does it matter which tentacle they go on?
@@MCUcollector24 Your figure, your preference. But if you want Ock to be screen accurate, his top tentacle arms had pointed ends and the bottom ones had flat ends.
