Nia benefits a lot from stutter step cancelling since her first auto attack comes out really fast compared to her full combo. Also the other art, the side attack art that Nia doesn't have equipped right now is better than Jaguar Slash early game, it's infinitely shorter cooldown and does decently respectable damage especially useful since you're just using Dromarch for arts spam, build up specials and a healing halo then popping back to your knuckle claws or ball blade.
"Why don't billionaires just put a stop to wars?" The short answer is because humans are awful. It could work, but likely just once. Then tensions go right back up once greedy people "figure out" they can get money that way. The price would get higher when any greedy people found out it was happening because; "He's a billionaire, he can afford it." When in fact even ten billion dollars between potentially a billion or more people is not a lot of money. Let's not forget that a billionaire rarely sits on their money, they make companies, which involves paying people for stuff, and paying other people to turn it into better stuff, and usually others still to sell it to people who want it for hopefully more money than it cost in the first place, since all of the above need a cut, and also --bandits-- the government wants --life insurance-- taxes.
Is Emile not going for all of the deeds in the main cities? Or is it something where he's just going to get them all at once for each area? IIRC the deed for Attas's bakery in Gormott gives a 5% running boost, which would be a nice QOL boost
A ton of them just can't be gotten until more areas are available and the Dev level is as high as possible. There's a trick to shoot the dev level up in an area, but until all the relevant areas are available and money isn't an issue (think half a million to play with) it's not really an issue.
21:43 For as cool as that would be, you know there would be that one smartass who would name one something totally inappropriate. It's me. I'm that smartass.
Since Emile obtained an item from a Merc Mission between last episode and this one but did not explain what it is or what it does, I will point it out for anyone curious. At 9:57 you can see that there is an accessory item called the Overclocking Bangle. This is a situationally useful item that is best utilized when you are controlling the driver of Ursula. The Overclocking Bangle lowers the cooldown for Blades that are switched out depending on how many of their arts were fully charged before the Blade Switch. What this means is the cooldown for being able to switch a Blade in and out of battle, that time it takes before you can switch to a new blade, that time is reduced by a percentage depending on how many arts the blade you are switching out has ready to be used. At common rarity, it reduces blade switch cooldown by 25% per unused art, rare 27%, and legendary 30%. This means that if you have all 3 of your arts charged up, and you switch to another blade with a legendary Overclocking Bangle equipped, the cooldown for switching to another blade will be reduced by 90%. On it's own, the item is good for set ups where you are trying to quickly trigger the Driver Combo (Break, Topple, Launch, Smash). You can quickly switch between whichever Blade you need to continue the combo. The reason I really like this accessory though is because of Ursula. As you know, Ursula has the Battle Skill, Beary Healing which heals the party's HP upon switching into her by a maximum of 40%. Emile has stated before how he is not a big fan of Beary Healing because it's a Panic Button type of emergency heal and it only heals a max of 40% of the party's HP. If you are using the Overclocking Bangle in combination with an Aux Core on Ursula called Fast Blade Switch, then you can potentially switch Ursula in to get her heal, switch back out from Ursula, and then switch her back in again to get another heal in seconds (From my memory it takes no longer than 2 seconds with the right set up). With good team set ups there are many scenarios where it is theoretically possible to basically never have Ursula on cooldown when you need her healing. The consistency of this healing and the speed in which it can be spammed is the reason I would argue that Ursula when used by the player is one of the best healing blades in the game.
Yeah - I've used this setup a few times and it's nuts how you can just go from next to no health to full in a matter of seconds. Definitely a gimmicky setup, but stupid fun.
9:48-9:56 Unfortunately, they really couldn't, even if they wanted to If you combine the net worth of _every single billionaire_ in the USA (and keep in mind that most of this net worth is tied up in businesses and stocks, not in liquid assets) it would still only be about _2/3rds_ of the country's yearly spending Maybe a billionaire would be able to pay 2 _very small_ countries to not fight, but you can literally get the same result by just having a big country look at them sternly, though a billionaire can probably pay some politicians to do so (and for less then if they paid the small countries directly) But good luck paying those big countries enough to not fight a war, especially when those big countries can probably lose more than your entire net worth to clerical errors and typos without even noticing
I know right? It comes up frequently. . .pretty much whenever you step into Torigoth after a major story event you can find someone mentioning it in some odd piece of random dialogue.
To be honest, all the sayings that everyone in the party says when they enter a new location or town you could mash up to be a really nice ringtone like Tora's "What is inside box? Sweets or treats or socks~"
Things Emile missed: -Off on the side of Varnax Plunge right before Emile made a U-turn to swim away from the Level 70 arachnos (a wise decision), there’s a red treasure trove on a ledge. Normally you’d have to drop down to an area below that chest and then climb back up, but with some careful positioning and platforming, you should be able to leap from the rocks at the waterfall leading to the Lower Level to it. Unfortunately I don’t quite remember the contents and didn’t have it written down, but I’m certain a core crystal was part of the loot. -That dark ominous wall Emile passed by a couple times when running away from that Rapchor is a Malign Miasma. Roc can’t disperse these guys unless they call for Wind Mastery, but generally they require some level of Dark Mastery and Ancient Wisdom. This one should be Dark Mastery Level 2 and Ancient Wisdom Level 2. There’s no immediate Treasure Troves behind this one (emphasis on immediate), but at the very least flag this skill check, and if you can pass it now, why not take a look what lies beyond? And now to deal with even more fallout that resulted in our deposing a corrupt Consul who didn’t have a plan of succession in case he did get deposed, because what sane corrupt person/dictator would ever have that? 0:13 For the longest time I’ve used the XC2 soundtrack as my alarm clock. Still do, though I use other OSTs too like FF7R’s. Ah, how I wish the other Xenoblade OSTs were available for purchase digitally like XC2’s is. Right? Killing him every time you come to Torigoth is tradition at the very least. Wulfric’s reading all the gossip written on the back of the board. 1:52 Shame she never lifts Gonzalez when it’s actually needed. That last quest caused me so much pain thanks to him... 2:55 If you’re having trouble getting Melosian Honey to drop, check what time it is in-game. You need to go to these collection points during the day else they will not spawn. 3:40 Certainly far more memorable and interesting given how he goes on about the Militia each time you talk to him. 5:00 Bit of backstory: the Gormotti capital city White Chair was razed as part of the Ardanian Empire’s move to annex the Gormott Province as a territory 50 years before the start of this game (this same move is partially why Uraya is at odds with Mor Ardain at the start of the game in fear that they’re going to expand the Empire even further), with Torigoth becoming an administrative capital as a result. If you remember how Rhiannon’s dad has (or had depending how the quest ends) a beef with Ardanians, that’s where this hatred of them stems from for some Gormotti. You can find this out in talking with one of the NPCs on the lower levels of Garagorm’s Arch (it’s Wold). 6:00 Hey Rex, what rule number of the Salvager’s Code was he trying to quote there? It’s heavily implied that the big unnamed fellow who shoved Jac out of the way during the Driver Recruitment cutscene is Petir’s dad. Maybe if he wasn’t such a jerk about it...well, it’s not polite to talk ill of the dead. 11:15 I mean these are Torigoth’s Most Wanted here. Maybe he’s acting smug because he knows these farmers don’t stand a chance. The Ardanians stationed here certainly didn’t. 13:10 I mean yeah it’s funny...not so funny when you realize you don’t get any of the loot that way. 14:37 He still hasn’t realized... 17:42 Little weird tidbit about Ruska Noodle Soup: in one of Wulfric’s post-battle banters, someone (I think a Rare Blade we’ve not met yet, least not formally) asks him that if he could only eat one food for the rest of his life what it would be, and his answer is something like “Ruska Noodle Soup. Extra large bowl. Double servings of Armu meat.” However, Ruska Noodle Soup isn’t one of his favorite pouch items, it just matches his favorite pouch item category. 23:04 Shame you didn’t win Day-time Plinko though. 24:22 Don’t let Tom hear that. After “Varue”, I don’t think he’s gonna recover from this one. He actually said Con-suhl correctly for once! 27:19 I’d actually recommend otherwise. Soon as you get Ursula, go do this for her. The rest of her Key Affinity nodes are tied to this event that happened offscreen and almost everything is based in merc missions which you will need to send her out on a lot of them, at least 120 of them. This way you can continue on with the story rather than stand about and grind her quest out like Emile likely will be doing in the video dedicated to her, and it will also help you raise your Merc Ranks to let you get even more missions and more Blades, so there’s that. 28:15 To be fair, it was an umbrella quest, and a sizable one at that. I think four sub-quests are the most you’ll have under any given umbrella quest in this game, though there are longer umbrella quests still to be sure. Just realized Emile didn’t have Adenine equipped for any of that. Guess that treasure chest by Yurna’s gonna wait for a little longer since he’s not building trust with her. Can’t wait to scarf down some -rice balls- dumplings tomorrow!
What's the point of having Miasma dispersal if it isn't going to be used efrectively?, I know it can't go past the 1st level but with a few miasmas out there why wouldn't it be important?
@@destinydivided8689 That’s one of the complaints about Roc as a Blade. There’s I think one or two more points where you need Miasma Dispersal left in the game if there’s any left, and it’s a suggested skill for some Merc Missions but it’s otherwise just kinda there. It feels like they wanted to do more with him but couldn’t.

*cries in Military-Industrial complex
"Why don't billionaires pay money to stop people from going to war" how do you think they became billionaires in the first place?
This time! We take care of a single quest that only happened because of stuff we did when we rescued Nia! Go, team!
4:29 Nippon illegally squatting

Nia benefits a lot from stutter step cancelling since her first auto attack comes out really fast compared to her full combo. Also the other art, the side attack art that Nia doesn't have equipped right now is better than Jaguar Slash early game, it's infinitely shorter cooldown and does decently respectable damage especially useful since you're just using Dromarch for arts spam, build up specials and a healing halo then popping back to your knuckle claws or ball blade.
"Why don't billionaires just put a stop to wars?"
The short answer is because humans are awful.
"Very tricky given that he's level FU."

23:08 "so the thing is..." *poppi vanishes into thin air*
Is Emile not going for all of the deeds in the main cities? Or is it something where he's just going to get them all at once for each area?
IIRC the deed for Attas's bakery in Gormott gives a 5% running boost, which would be a nice QOL boost
Probably, all at once. If I remember correctly, Atlas requires a rare blade but at least it isn't a random rare blade.
A ton of them just can't be gotten until more areas are available and the Dev level is as high as possible. There's a trick to shoot the dev level up in an area, but until all the relevant areas are available and money isn't an issue (think half a million to play with) it's not really an issue.

Where did she go?
9:48-9:56
Unfortunately, they really couldn't, even if they wanted to
If you combine the net worth of _every single billionaire_ in the USA (and keep in mind that most of this net worth is tied up in businesses and stocks, not in liquid assets) it would still only be about _2/3rds_ of the country's yearly spending
Maybe a billionaire would be able to pay 2 _very small_ countries to not fight, but you can literally get the same result by just having a big country look at them sternly, though a billionaire can probably pay some politicians to do so (and for less then if they paid the small countries directly)
But good luck paying those big countries enough to not fight a war, especially when those big countries can probably lose more than your entire net worth to clerical errors and typos without even noticing
It makes sense, but I'm still surprised how often the water tower comes up when going around Torigoth.
I know right? It comes up frequently. . .pretty much whenever you step into Torigoth after a major story event you can find someone mentioning it in some odd piece of random dialogue.

7:12 I’m really happy that Chugga put a Metroid reference here. I love Metroid. 😁
Thanks Chugga for everything you do here man
Things Emile missed:
-Off on the side of Varnax Plunge right before Emile made a U-turn to swim away from the Level 70 arachnos (a wise decision), there’s a red treasure trove on a ledge.
