I’ll be the one to say it. I am actually the player this video was focused around. Been looking at comments and it’s funny. I am in therapy for the issues I have which are caused from irl issues which only got worse due to video games. Also for those saying I haven’t hit puberty, I have. I just have a really bad mic. Anyway this was a fun video and I even reconnected with 198 after the video and we all chill. Ty CBell for the opportunity to be in the video.
You didn't have to say anything but I'm glad you posted this. I understand that a lot of you may think that I made this video maliciously, but it was all in good fun. Think of a friend you've had IRL and you kind of poke fun at a soft spot they may have. Maybe they once got drunk at a bar and fell and broke their ankle and when you see them, you walk with a limp and laugh a little. It's not to make that person feel bad, its to have a little fun and to just joke around a little.

Broke a space-bar spring by slamming my hand on the keyboard. Used that keyboard for ages and the space-bar being slightly unresponsive reminded me how stupid it was and never hit anything since.

I was c1 for 5 seasons going on c2 several times. Ive been hardstuck d2-d3 for months. I never stopped playing. The lobbies just suck. I face more champ/gc players at d2 than i EVER did it c1. The games matchmaking system is trash, and they reward smurfing.

C2/C3 is full of people flip resetting and not playing boom ball these days. It's not like it used to be.
i was the same as u and the only reason im not d2/d3 rn is because i partied with a gc3 smurf to carry me into champ it was that difficult to solo q. Since then i havent fallen into diamond
@@nekroneko booming the ball is not a good strat anyways. it hasn't been effective in mid-high champ for at least a good year. the flip resets are more often than not easily saveable if not straight up failed tho, so no biggie
just fyi, titles don't mean anything. i meet plenty of players with gc titles in champ and very few if any play like real gcs. they often got boosted or stopped playing for a bit and don't have the same lvl anymore

Diamond 2-3 here, this kid claims he can’t rank up because of Smurf’s, and don’t get me wrong there are definitely smurfs here and there. But i suck at the game and am capable of saying “yeah that guy is the same rank as me but just simply better”
Personally, I'm just v inconsistent. I'm gold3/plat1. Some days i play like an ssl & others like a bronze lol. (Prob more like p3/g2 but still 😄)
But even when I'm peaking, i still face the occasional player who just genuinely outplays me, probably bc they are also peaking. Those are the BEST games honestly.
Literally go into freeplay, workshop maps or use training packs each time u play the game if ranked is vexing u concentrate on freeplay my friend is c2 im c1 he destroys me in every aspect mechanical wise when i ask him how are u so good at mechanics he says he plays freeplay more and puts music on ive been doing that lately and im seeing improvements fr
No. That guy at the same rank as you isn't better, or he wouldn't be same rank. If he is better, he's a Smurf. As for Smurfs, Im somewhat close to your rank. It's hard to tell. The different skills and play styles varies so much. The players I perceive as smurfs. It's when someone is so comfortable, they control their car and read the ball, the players, the play so easily, even if they're not doing anything advanced. They make touches so easily.
Other kind of player I think are smurfs. Guys who easily shoot simple air roll shots, wall bounce reads, backboard reads and double taps. They're only barely disguising their skull. I always get smashed in games against these guys, It's a shock, you play all these diamonds and get used to the kind of angles, power, positions they shoot, then some guy comes in and gets power and angles youve learned not to expect.
I've never seen someone so thirsty for "good" content. Sounded like the end he was talking about his teammate being toxic not a bad teammate. But it's a cbell vid so of course he will twist words to fit his narrative

I usually love the content but this is an exceptionally awful video. Of course he was going to be toxic, you as the video creator was prompting him to do so, your average non-toxic player would still do so. This was unbelievably extremely poorly set up. The concept was interesting, and the guy was legitimately toxic in the past though it did not show too much of this video, I've seen far more toxic in my own lobbies by the extremes to make this look like nothing, not that that's the average since the average is honestly a fairly pleasant or not worth mentioning experience since it's normal, but the setup to this makes it look like you wanted the guy to be toxic, so of course he was going to fulfill that to a smaller extent.

gc tags don't mean much unfortunately. i meet a decent amount in champ as well and the majority don't play like gcs. they're either washed from not grinding or boosted.

You keep repeating the "it's all in good fun" thing in the comments, but it doesn't change what this really is. You're a grown adult taking advantage of a kid's emotional instability by instructing others to coax out his anger by bullying him in a game. To make money off it is just the cherry on top. I know that wasn't the entire video and you mention that all was good in the end, but this video sets a precedence for future content (by you or other creators). This might just be the opinion of some random viewer of yours, but I hope your search for content brings you in better directions. I'm truly thankful for the content you and other creators put out that keeps the game alive/thriving and most importantly strengthens the community.

and for the record, 2 days ago I played a casual match with a diamond 3 that played for about 10 seconds and then talked trash and sat in net for 3 games straight. (i refused to FF because of the first game and then we kept being matched on the same team after) Dude was throwing insults around left and right the entire match as i was 1v2ing and admittedly losing. and, that dude managed to get in my head as the rest of my session was pretty bad! but that's okay. he's banned.
I’m plat and we were up 2-0. the other team tied it and my tm8 wanted to forfeit. So I did.
The dude would be surprised if suddenly the wall changed to european style.

He sounds like the kid that I solo queue’d with when I was rusty (from not playing for 3 years). I was D2/3 during that time and he would blame me on missed shots. Most of those missed shots were definitely on me though

I like the premise of the video, but setting people up for failure is kinda lame. That said, I'm D2, and this guy is more mechy than me even. So there's no way he should be diamond. Which proves that he may not be wrong about "teammates," which Cbell conviently mocked at the end of the video.
he might be able to do decent shots but reality is, he's inconsistent as shit, and mechs are only part of the story. his gamesense isn't particularily great either, and mechanical inconsistency+bad gamense makes for a terrible mix

When i was drinking all night every night and playing 1s in a perpetual de-rank, i broke about 2 or 3 controllers over the course of a year.
Once i quit playing 1s, i no longer have that problem.

I’m d2 but actually deserve champ, I played with my champ friend and he thought I was smurfing and I explained to him that I was genuinely held back by my teammates. He said I deserve at least champ 1. I also competed very well if not even better than him in his lobbies. I admit I make some mistakes here and there, but majority of those mistakes come from randoms.

I am the same rank as he is, and I am not nearly as good as he is. This dude has legit mechanics and a pretty good feel for the game in general. He's inconsistent (like Diamond players are), but he's very skilled. Just goes to show that getting mad can take you down a rank or two.
he wouldn't make it past c1 honestly. yes he can do some mechs but nothing's consistent, and his gamensense isn't that great either. i reckon him being d3 lvl could sound fair but he'd need to improve at least a bit to secure c1 by himself, and c2 is just out of reach by quite a decent margin

Mechanically he's decent, and could probably hold his own in low champ, but his reading of the game is pretty awful. There are loads of players just like him in diamond, and they are all delusional. Adding the fact he's got the mental strength of a China teapot and he's nowhere close to the rank he thinks he is
All these excuse making low ranks make me sick. People used to be competitive now we cry Smurf when someone is better, blame our teammates, and come up with every excuse in the book. The sad reality is most people just simply don't have the IQ to rank up. People are just too dull. If you cry about Smurfs cause they have a few mechanics. Sometimes there are Smurfs sure most of the time you just suck. All these kids blaming their teammates I mean c'mon lol If CBELL did a series like send me a replay of your teammate holding you back, he could sit there watch it and point out an absurd amount of mistakes you make yourself. If you don't look at yourself and own skill you will never get anywhere. It baffles me that there are people stuck below gc, I never even played in diamond, champ in 3 weeks with no aerial game just because I used my sports knowledge in game. This community is horrible.
C2-c3 is filled with a bunch of gcs and smurfs currently, lower rank... meh idk, im gc 2 lol - on a sidenote it does infuriate me when I get put up against a stocktane ssl with 200 games played and then proceeds to put up 7 goals on us 😅

To be real though I hardly ever play against anyone that I'm like oh wow yeah they are unstoppable, I can watch any replay and point out mistakes that lead to goals. Smurfing is lame don't get me wrong on that, but the amount of people that cry smurf because they give someone space for days and they hit a double flip reset or something is disgusting, they give them freeplay type of space then call smurf cause they do a fancy its gross. this is why mentality is the biggest factpor in the game, i'm a rumble main, had some bad exp psst few seasons, modtly form the daiamond players, but i find when me and my teamate have encountered a c3+ (in another playlist, with lower ranks) we tend to win just from comms and shutting down the higher rank
