I am such a grateful follower! I love the three fifteen you speak of and find them so helpful! I also stop caffeine at seven or eight AM every day. If I get a slump, I drink more water and brush my teeth ...again..it helps me and I work from home so it is easy. Thank you again and I am convinced I am on my way to better sleep!
Very helpful, clear, simple information and great healthy tips! I will definitely try them out. Thank you immensely for sharing this video with us Dr. Michael!👋❤👍
I'm a new fan of this channel - thank you for the insights! A clinician colleague I once worked with suggested that if you are tired in the afternoon and going into a long meeting, try drinking a litre of water. For two reasons - first, hydration will support alertness. Second, you are much more likely to be alert with a full bladder!!
Thank you so much for your advice. I have learned and implemented so many of your tips for getting a good sleep and having a productive day. I have a sleep ring that helps me a lot, but finding you, a real sleep Doctor has been a wonderful experience. 👍
Hey, I remember seeing you as a guest on the404 podcast on cnet years ago! Learned a lot from watching you on that and it helped with my sleep, glad you got your own channel
Hi! Question 1 - how to avoid sleep terrors. Question 2 - i am the partner of someone with sleep terrors. How the hell do i cope with those nightmarish screams and how do I go back to sleep safe and comfortable? Thank you
I seem to trigger my afternoon slump by sipping from the hot tea I bring from home (and eating a sandwich). I often noticed that by eating an apple I can rapidly get out of the drowsy feeling.
Question: Is there any research that has looked at sleep quality and how dreams impact it? I notice if I have dreams that are anxious, frustrating or bizarre, they seem to impact negatively how rested I feel the next day. I imagine those type dreams cause cortisol, epinephrine and impacts sleep depth? Conversely can pleasureable dreams promote better sleep or restfulness? Is there any way to influence less stressful dreams beyond meditation, a calming get ready for bed routine? Thank you!
