*UPDATE* As of 1.18.30 every cauldron needs to have a lava source above it, in order for lava to drip down and fill up the cauldron. This also applies to water for water farms in case you are curious. So just make sure you have an entire platform of lava sources!

Do you have any clues about why I can't get the very long beard on bedrock and it says you need to do a achievement but doesn't say what achievement and I did all the achievements already so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong

If you guys don't want to spend the iron for the buckets you can buy a bucket of cod (or any fish) from a fisherman. Then place the bucket and kill the fish. Then sell the fish back to the fisherman making it so that you get infinite buckets.

Once I discovered lava buckets as a furnace fuel source, I made my daily trip to the Nether. On a occasion I would stupidly fall into the lava, but after Dripstone or 1.17 was out, I have an array of these in my base. The ravine where base is perched on has lava pools, so if I run out, that’s my back up.
Same dude , cause lava can smelt upto 100 items , just because of that I didn't get bored to go to the nether to get my lava
@@absolutechaos1135 What I love about 1.17, breaking iron ore with Fortune III quintuples your iron supply. Each double furnace has four hoppers at input, two for buckets and two for items, and two for output, and I have an 6 of these to cut the time in half with my cobblestone. With the creation of hoppers and the cauldrons, my iron supply is still overly abundant.

Hey Silent, I don’t know when you are going to make another parity features video, but I hope you do soon. There are tons of features from the 1.17 update such as shulker farms that I would really like to see come to the bedrock edition. One feature I really want though, and I know a lot of bedrock redstone players do too, is the ability for observers to detect when a player hits a note block. I really want this for a build of mine, where having a full block like a note block would really help. This feature doesn’t seem to be getting much attention however, and the votes on the feedback site are really low. So if you could highlight features like this in a future video of yours, it would be much appreciated. Have a great day!

Hey there Silent, it would be outstanding to see you tackle a smelter that utilizes this lava source without wasting a ton (like your bamboo smelter burning the exact amount of items before getting back in rotation to pick up more fuel/items). OCD dictates this must be done... Can't make a fuel source tutorial without making a smelter tutorial that takes advantage of the 100 items per bucket lava provides *neck twitches and tongue clicks rapidly* - Anyways, keep up the good work my dude :-)

I swear dispensers used to function with cauldrons back in the og days, like on ps3 and xbox 360. I remember making an auto cauldron filler for brewing, it would cycle a bucket between an infinite water source and a cauldron to fill it

Lava is also useful for building and lots of other random stuff and with the 1.17 update its nice th fact that you dont need to go to the nether whenever you need lava

Best combination, stackable lava buckets (64 per stack) partnered with lava farm is a match made in heaven.
This farm is great, but reading another comment on this video, I have chalked up an OP infinite fuel technique(since my device cannot stand Autoclickers).
Hear me out-
1) 1 lava bucket smelts 100 items.
2)9 dried kelp can be crafted into a block of dried kelp(which smelts 20 items.)
3)So, hooking the furnace up with a zero tick kelp farm, 1 lava bucket would give you 11 blocks and one dried kelp extra.
4)These 11 blocks can in turn smelt 220 kelp(24 blocks).
5)So, 1 lava bucket can kickstart this process within a few cycles.(and within an in-game day, you would have enough to smelt all your inventory item stacks).
Even a single coal could do this.
It is kind of like the JE carpet duper technique.
But you have to create kelp blocks manually

I use a similar method with charcoal.
Grow trees and smelt the logs for charcoal. Then using 1 charcoal you get 8 logs to cook and so on.

Watching this over again, thought just popped in my head, what if mojang made it that the cauldrons filled up faster in the nether. Since well, lava flows faster in the nether🤔
40 hours of smelt time pleases The Almighty Furnace God
My bucket replenisher keeps getting backed up after a while of afking, due to the lower dropper filling up and the hoppers as well. I’m using the 4dropper design at the end of the video, any help would be awesome!

New farm idea, a moss farm that works with the current bedrock mechanics where pistons only push moss. Maybe stone generators on both sides converting it to moss and alternating moss pushed from each side with the player insta-mining it a row of 5 at a time in the center.
It is getting fixed soon so there is no reason to make it. If you wait like a week or 2 they will fix it making farming it so much easier

Hey Silent, not sure if you'll see this since I'm sure you're busy editing and this video is about a month old, but I figured I'd try my luck anyway.
When I made this farm, I set everything up as noted in the video, and it all works fine... Except for the minecarts. They frequently bump into eachother, sending them into the opposite direction and screwing up the flow of the farm. I checked my redstone in that area and I have the 3 repeaters set to 4 ticks with the block in front of the first one and the dust at the end next to the powered rail. Any idea why this is? Could it be that my world's redstone is lagging (it is a fairly big world) and it's screwing up redstone timing? Should I just extend my repeater system by one to try and delay the hopper minecart longer?

I realised that the hopper minecart is faster than the normal minecart, that is the problem
Did you figure out a way to delay the minecarts enough so that they don't bump into each other?

I mean, it is a great fuel source, but kelp blocks are much better
I prefer tree farm and charcoal than this really. One lava bucket takes up one inventory slot and can smelt 100 items whereas a stack of 64 charcoal takes the same inventory slot and can smelt 512 items. As a side fuel this farm would be alright but isn't as efficient inventory wise.
No I only want this for smelting an absolute ton of items at a time since I don't have a netehr fortress farm

I can't figure out how to get the hopper minecart to activate. Doesn't the power rail where you put the hopper minecart goes need powered on?
I found a cool bug where if you fly with an elytra and use a rocket then stop flying in midair and fly again u don't lose momentum even if u stop flying. You will eventually but it takes a good while. It might just be me. Im on a bedrock realm if that is necessary

Quick question, should I wait for the moss farm or just make a giant water malone farm for bonemeal?
I need enough to power my tree farm.
I would say wait for a moss farm as melon farms will have to be incredibly large.
My other recommendations is either a nether fungus farm on silent's channel or a bone farm(either fish or spawner or mob)
crimson fungus farms are much better for bonemeal!
