    This is the kind of game I want to play. One ball, the lane, the pins. It also removes the financial barrier of entry to bowling and competition. It's better in so many ways.

    The Skill ball is not Polyester. The PBA SKILL 3.02, is a non-flaring pearl 'urethane' ball with a differential of 0.010 and hardness of 80-82D.

    I would like to try this

    I used to throw a plastic Columbia Blue-Dot for strikes because the carry was so good and it was already my spare ball anyway. Anytime the lanes were dry I would just bring this out and have no issues getting the ball down the lane.

    This is real bowling. I don't know why pba thinks that high scores and lots of strikes is what gets people interested and into bowling. Bowling ball technology and patterns that are not difficult enough because of this technology has ruined the game. There should be waaaay more tournaments like this. I remember when new bowling balls were released three times a year, usually before the start of winter leagues, before Christmas, and in spring time. Now it's new balls coming out monthly. The ball market is too damn overinflated and just ridiculous.

    So, up to the early 80s only plastic was available? Its funny with the current urethane debate since i believe urethane was the first non plastic?

    • @notonyourlife7939
      @notonyourlife7939 11 месяцев назад +7

      Not exactly... long before plastic, they were all rubber.

    • @tonyk438
      @tonyk438 11 месяцев назад +1

      @notonyourlife7939 yeah, I knew rubber was before. When I bowled in 70s everyone was plastic in league. Did rubber and plastic intermix a lot? Was there a plastic debate at the time?

      Urethane of today is not the same of urethane in the 80s

      @@tonyk438 Couldn't say...rubber was before my time, lol. My first "real" ball with a fingertip grip was the Columbia Yellow Dot... but that was mid 80's.
