Hey I love your content but.. I feel like you kinda missed the point of the ending... Clover's the Soul of Justice.. and originally he came too the Underground too save the Five humans who fell down. And along that journey he finds out that Monsters never meant too harm humans ... in reality they didn't want too harm anybody. Circumstances caused Asgore's aggression towards Humans.. and... Clover realized that the TRUE Justice would be to give up his own soul for the sake of monsters. After all.. when your trait is Justice. You are selfless.

That's my issue. Clover doesn't have to give up his SOUL immediately. He can't leave the Underground, so it doesn't matter if he gives up his SOUL now, or when Frisk falls down. It's selfless, sure. But it's dumb selflessness.
The logical solution is for Clover to give up their SOUL when Frisk shows up, maybe even trying to convince Frisk to do the same.
It doesn't matter if they have 1 SOUL or 6 SOULs. If they don't have 7, they can't use Clover's SOUL for anything.
And there's all the people Clover befriended along the way who just have to watch their friend die. THEY don't know if/when another human will fall down, so for all intents and purposes, Clover could have lived out his life and gave up his SOUL when he was nearing the end of his years. But he decided to essentially die instead, which hurts all those that care about him.

@@Jelinator Honestly. Thanks for replying. And i definitely understand your side. But I feel like it'd be far harder of a death too deal with if his friends had lost him at the end of Undertale itself. Because all that time spent caring for someone you love all that extra memories you make with them it leaves an even bigger impact on the people he met. And sure perhaps it was dumb. But he genuinely believed that they'd get a better future if he chose too sacrifice himself.. he's got too dialogue lines explaining that his home life was likely strict and claustrophobic. The one with him being reminded of his chores at home of cleaning the dishes.. and the one that explains his Sleeping situation before he left too the underground. Clover had a long time too think of his morals and why he came too the mountain to begin with. He came too save the humans he came too see justice. And his answer was that.. Asgore had killed them. And that this situation he put himself in.. was hopeless for his own survival. Living with Martlet wouldn't have worked. Living with Starlo wouldn't have worked because if He isn't the second too last soul taken. Then imagine what Frisk's fight with asgore would be.. it'd be a blood bath. Asgore would wipe the floor with Frisk! In the long term.. he chose too sacrifice himself because of the hope it brought too monsterkind. He realized that going down the mountain for the sake of his own Species was kinda built out of spite. He thought that monsters deserved justice for these missing kids and then his mind is changed by their kind words and actions. He finally sees... What True Justice is. ALSO i really love your content man keep up the good work-

@@kindadumbtrashpile3705 To be fair, Frisk didn't die after breaking the barrier. Nor does Frisk have to fight Asgore in the true pacifist ending.
So it's entirely possible that Clover could have simply lended his SOUL to break the barrier and been fine afterwards.
But it was Flowey that broke it after becoming Hyper God of Death, yeah? How about having a plot point where Flowey takes Clover's SOUL during the fight? (Or have Flowey take Frisk's SOUL, depending on your choices in the game) And then he gets it back like everyone else does after beating Hyper God.

@@Jelinator Look, Clover couldn't break the canon, they wouldn't get paid for the movie if they did. Well except for the genocide run that just actively admits it isn't canon.
