The Calcharo nerfs make me so angry. He's such a cool character, and the quick swap style looked like so much fun, but in Tower of Adversity, on the Heron, where Electro dmg was boosted by 30%... I did several runs trying to get a "good" run where I landed all my DMs and had good uptime on buffs and whatnot, trying more onfield vs the sweat swap, finally getting 2 doritos. Then... i tried it with Encore + Chixia (who are almost identical investment to Calcharo + Yinlin), and even without the 30% dmg boost, Encore cleared it 40s faster than Calcharo... On my FIRST TRY. Like... That is not ok. They really did Calcharo dirty T_T
Calcharo just cant do his damage, on characters like him that have very tight dps windows while having very long rotations, they need to massively buff dodge counters to compensate for losing dps whenever u dodge, cuz whenever u dodge ur losing dps.
@@Mikasa-.- Not just dodge counters, but his on field damage needs to be higher too. HRover does roughly the same dps as Calcharo as a main dps, but if you play her quick-swap, her effective dps jumps to like 61k or something. Same with Encore. In order to compete with that style of liberation it needs to be more like Encore's or Jiyan's. Calcharo just ended up with the worst of the bunch by a mile.
Ling Yang is now officially forsaken.. In fact, I betrayed and reroll a new account to prepare for either Jinhsi or Changli. Looking forward your Tier list bro.

I don't mind the outro skill he's still outputting big dmg without supports but his big issue is that he needs yinlin to cover his lack of crowd control since it is a bothersome to chase enemies around

This just came to mind that if you are too lazy to change Rover's echo when you change element just use that AtK piece set 5pc and make the 2 3cost as atk main stats, that way your Rover still quite strong and no more hassle changing echo time to time 😂
Does anyone notice Havoc Rover buff during 1.0? He had long recovery time/delay after N5, probably much longer, than even Sanhua N5. But after some hotfix he start N1 very fast after landing N5. Never saw anyone talking about it.
Well, I now feel a little bit better for my S5 Chixia but I have no resource for her. LingYang would only be good as a support with his outro and he was my first 5 star too.

Im trying to find what he said about outro skill staying if you quick swap fast enough and the buffed character didn't go off field @ 5:00 . I tried testing it with Yinlin but apparently Amplified stats doesn't show up on your character stats. If this is confirmed, that would forego the dilemma of getting the quick swap damage or maintaining the outro buff with the caveat of high execution ceiling. I like that my boy Cal could do EWGF in a sense.
Unfortunately, this quick swap tech only existed in the beta and was removed from the game upon release. That's the massive nerf to Calcharo that he's talking about.
Chixia's damage output is either the best kept secret or the most slept on oversight in all of Wuthering Waves. That girl pumps for a 4* unit, much less a ranged one, much less a free one.
They should allow jianxin to be swap cancelled while channeling her heavy atk just like her skill parry hold then swap. Also add a semi pulling effect on that heavy atk😂, she'll be as good as verina that way.
Calcharo is still good if you have yinlin, without her he is mid, they really butchered his numbers "I get it he's a standard character " with yinlin he is actually a good option

On the one hand I am very lucky to pull Jiyan in 10 pull, and through all pulls got every standart 5* but evade Lingyang😊 On the other hand I lose 50/50 on Yinlin banner and got Her and her weapon on almost hard pity😢
They are going to slap together also for those who dont have encore. Chixia can almost perfectly fit Changli's downtime window, also she can abuse the mech abomination for massive aoe nuke from her echo skill, burst, and outro making her able to be quickswap or stay on field. Because of this Changli/chixia will shred both bosses and aoe
@@QMS9224 looks good, once I get Changli I will try it out. I'm doubt between using Verina or Taoqi cuz Verina in my other team while Taoqi I usually use her with Chixia. Idk how it would be the rotation, but at least both chixia and changli seem to benefit from Taoqi's outro buff, and also Chixia benefits from Changli's Outro perfectly.
@@Gheniel_ im using the same team, changli mostly skill dmg so using taoqi as a buffer-sustainer. Rotation would be Toaqi->Changli 12 seconds->Chixia with option to quickswap or stay on field a bit more

Honestly Calcharo is really bad, his damage is not the greatest and if you have a little bit of high ping is almost impossible to do 3 DM per rotation, you have to cancel the third NA but if you have to dodge or move from a boss attack you wont be able to do it, i'm pretty sure that Havoc rover deals more damage than him without any restriction, my Calcharo has really god build but i only can get 1 star in the last chamber of the tower, i would like to think that is because i'm lv 70 and his maximun potential is at 90
The level 90 tower? I'm pretty sure it's just your level. In this game, your level plays a big part for your damage output. So wait and try again once you can get to level 80 or 90. How does your Rover do in that same tower?

I've done that more than 15 times just to try finishing it at 2mins left but despite perfect dodges and almost perfect rotations with yinlin calcharo and verina, I was only able to finish it at 1:43 time. Then I tried switching calcharo with havoc rover and I actually finished it at 1:52 time. If only I knew calcharo wouldn't be busted with yinlin I would've just saved the free 5* selector until much later
