    I bought the 24 crosstrek sport and same color. I’m really enjoying it. Can’t believe I have zero complaints about this car. Best ride I’ve ever been in. Love the symmetrical awd. Visibility is excellent. Parking is easy everywhere. Great gas mileage. Very reliable and safe daily driver. That’s all that’s needed. I drive only 2,000 miles per year. I believe this will last for a long time.

      My husband has the '23 Crosstrek Sport, and I traded in my '20 Outback Premium for the '24 Outback Wilderness, and I still think his Crosstrek is more fun to drive. It's smaller, lighter, and more nimble, and it's definitely easier to park in every way (parallel or otherwise). I like the OBW better overall, but the Crosstrek is suprisingly smile-inducing from behind the wheel. I hope your Crosstrek brings you many years of trusty transportation! :)

    The "dog bowls" in the back of the car are actually places for you to put a 32oz water bottle for camping because a lot of owners have them. The seats are deaigned alongside medical professionals for a healthier and betwr for your back seats for long drives.

  • @ShirtlessMenNetwork
    @ShirtlessMenNetwork Год назад +4

    I don't know if it's the same as the second-gen with the 2.5L, but another reviewer found that not using sport mode for 0-60 actually returned quicker acceleration. It's when you're already up to speed that sport mode makes the biggest difference, since it keeps the CVT in a lower "gear" at the same speed than the intelligent mode, so there's less lag when you need to pass and such. It's not a big difference in 0-60 between the two modes, but I'm curious to know if the third-gen Crosstrek returns similar results.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад +2

      I would imagine this third gen responds basically the exact same. I’ve also accidentally done a 0-60 in I mode and then corrected the test doing it in S mode and it was within a 1/10 second slower the second time. 😬

    It may not be all sunshine and rainbows, but it is an insightful touch to include a place to stash some snickers candy bars for when you're in a foul mood because you have to change a tire. Don't know why my personal 2024 Outback could not have come with the 4th generation eye sight technology like this 2024 Crosstrek has. I like my car to be able to steer around corners also.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208

      It seems like most auto manufacturers don’t provide all the design improvements or fix some discovered issues until the next refresh or generation change which is a shame. My brother has a Tesla and something I’ve learned from him is how Tesla constantly fixes issues, either software or hardware related. They don’t make you wait for a new generation or model year, they just fix issues as they go. 🤷‍♂️ Thanks again for watching and interacting with my video! 😊

    Crosstreks are really popular here in Québec, Canada. The new crosstrek is nice looking. What turns me off from this car is the comfort. I had a 2013 impreza for 5 years and the seats are just wayyy too narrow for someone that is on the larger side. I'm not a 85 pounds japanese woman.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад +2

      I think this is a good car, especially for having the improved headlights and eyesight system. However you need to do what’s best for you and your situation. I know in general leasing is the most expensive way to operate a car. And if it’s much more expensive that buying out your 2021, I don’t personally know that it’s worth it. But if you just enjoy driving a new warrantied car and that’s your guilty pleasure, which I do the same, and it won’t be a financial burden, than I say go for it! But test drive before you order! 🙂

    • @rpkeskar
      @rpkeskar Год назад

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I totally agree. So I have $21.5K due on my 2021 and they say it's resale right now is about $25k. So I have positive equity. If I return this and get the 2024, my monthly payment stays the same and I don't have to do any down payment. Also, totally thinking about long term, if I keep the 2024 for 3 years, it's a wash on finance and I don't own the car, but if I finance the 2021, for another 3 years, basically it's a difference or $1.5k over 3 years...give or take. So I'm still thinking, it's almost an even math for 3-4 years and over 6-7 years, yes its more expensive, but now I have a new car with no maintenance for 6+ years.

      As am I. I've been waiting for the Crosstrek Wilderness ever since the Outback Wilderness was announced (just knew it'd be coming). Since that time, I've traded my 2020 Crosstrek Premium 6MT in for a 2024 Outback Wilderness. While I really like the OBW, I've got to admit my heart still wants a Crosstrek Wilderness. So, I'll be super-anxious to see that comparison. I don't want to give up the 2.4L Turbo if the Crosstrek Wilderness feels underpowered. I know it won't have as much power with the 2.5NA engine but if it can tackle steep mountain grades without struggling, I'd be tempted to switch.
