    Thank you so much for this tutorial.
    Please if i am to use a lace fabric to sew this, is it necessary for me to line it? If yes, how do i line the mermaid part.
    I await your kind response
    Thank you🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

    • @bloscloset
      @bloscloset  7 дней назад

      Yes you'd have to line it dear. You can line it halfway through (that is, up until the knee).
      You can line it all through just like I did in the video. All you have to do is subtract 3 inches from your original skirt length on the lining piece, and use it to turn the lace fabric.

      Thank you so much for your kind response.
      I actually meant to double line especially where the lace have scallops.

      @@LilicianoA it would be quite difficult for me to explain it using text.
      What I usually do is I cut the lining pieces to be shorter than the lace (like 3 to 4 inches shorter than the actual lace).
      I cut 2 lining pieces for each skirt piece. Then I go ahead to laminate the lace on one lining piece (that is, use hemming gum or sewing glue to hold the lace and lining together as one piece), then I use the second lining piece to turn the laminated lace.
      I hope this helps.

    Is it okay not to fold the back part like that if you enough length of the material

    • @bloscloset
      @bloscloset  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes dear. If you have enough fabric you do not need to fold the back like I did. I only used this method because I had only 3 yards of Ankara Fabric.
