The reason why she removed 1" from the back waist , hip and knee is so that when putting the zip it will make it lay without any form of bulginess at the back, it is used for a perfect zip insert

When you said 2" on your knee line + 0.5" does it mean that the total knee line marked is 2.5" or
The style is beautiful! My only concern is if a person gains a little weight this dress cannot be worn again.
There should be an allowance added to it while you where cutting for future purpose incase I get more fat and fresh

I sew with 0.75" but on the hip line I sew it with 1.25". Or you can send me a dm on Instagram and I'll send you a voice notes to explain better
