Louise! Best stuffed bell peppers I've ever tasted. I bought a Ninja Foodi (6.5 qt with the 2 different lids) a month ago and have only been reheating pre-made food up to this point. Today was my first real recipe from scratch in the Ninja Foodi and, honestly, this recipe and your expert guidance allowed them to cook up tasty and delicious. The peppers had the perfect level of softness/firmness. I made the recipe "Keto-like" with cauliflower and celery and only a 1/4 cup of rice, and red peppers instead of green. It turned out fabulous. So glad I'll have leftovers of these for days to come. So filling! I'm halfway through your online class and was so glad to come across your excellent channel. Thank you for all you do!
Makes me miss my grandma. She made the best stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls around! This recipe seems very similar to here, so im gonna definately make it in memory of her. Thank you, Louise for all your work❤
I just wanted to finally tell you how much I've been loving your channel. I bought my Foodi over a year ago but was intimidated by it so didn't even use it til very recently, when I dicovered your channel. I love your videos and am having a great time with this appliance now! So thank you for being there "for ME" lol. So, I just finished making the stuffed peppers and WOW. Fantastic. I became engrossed in your video for corned beef & cabbage, and forgot the peppers as they were being broiled. I snapped to, and almost panicked but they were fine! A teeny bit extra browned but still wonderful! I would like to share a pic but not sure how to do so. But anyway, thanks again!
Just purchased the OL701 because of the built-in thermometer. However, I can barely boil water, so I have been binge-watching A LOT of YT videos. I love this channel because you get straight to the point, but provide so much information. Thank you. I detest raw peppers (texture), but I love the flavor cooked ones impart. I am going to try this recipe... 🙂
Never thought I could make stuffed peppers so easily!!! One pot, not heating up my kitchen during the summer, delicious, makes this a recipe that will be repeated often.
Louise, I wanted you to know that I have been making your Foodi breakfast burritos every 2 weeks for months. My family absolutely loves them. It is one of our favorite recipes of all time. Thanks!
Greeting from Niagara area Canada. SO good!!! I had a bit of left over meat/rice and fried up some egg and veggies and made a breakfast mash in taco wraps.
Can't tell you what a help this video is. I've been on the fence over which Foodi to get - PC or oven. Watching a ton of vids for help. This one puts it together for me. Love the recipe and how you went from meat browning (I hadn't seen that yet), to seasoning, to adding uncooked rice. Then the adjustments on steam, etc. and how that flexibility works o get things just how you like 'em. Your pro tips also rock: where to cut the peppers, fixing the rolling peppers st the bottom, liquid measuring, rice doneness, chilling the cooked peppers. I can do this. I want to do this and now I'm excited about it too. Thanks!
I'm watching this video after I already made stuffed peppers in my foodie. Mine came out tasting great but my peppers where over soft. Now I have new skills thanks to this....
Thanks for the recipe it looks so Yummy I do it a little bit different after I clean the inside I will poking the paper from all sides with parring knife then fill it with the same raw filling then pressure cook it
I have always stuffed my peppers with the raw mixture. Tried it tonight. Baked 20 min 375. I checked early and they were way too brown. I covered with foil, silly me, it rose to the top. I put cheddar on top and used crisper. They were tasty but tops were crunchy. I would love to see it done as I did with better instructions. Thanks for the video, you are always great!
GIRL, now I know you are my bestest friend on earth!! Thank you so very much for this recipe!! I absolutely LOVE stuffed peppers, but had no clue how to make them - even in the oven... Peppers are now on my shopping list going to try your recipe out asap. Can I freeze them after they are cooked? I am sure there will be too much for just me to eat. LOVE you so much Louise, hope you are staying safe, and well. xoxoxoxo
OMGoodness, it was absolutely delicious!! My husband said that I should take a picture and post it to Facebook. When I asked him why I should do that, he said, and I quote, “because it is damn good!” He is not wrong! Thank you, Louise, for another great recipe!! ❤️😋❤️😋❤️
Good thing that I can balance a raw egg. It can be done. The pepper balancing act, nice. Only wish my beer can chicken would balance. Another excellent video, Louise. How about stuffed poblano peppers or chili rellenos. I make tin foil volcanos for the poblanos to sit in when I use the smoker.
We just acquired our first Ninja Foodi. He joins the family of an 8q and 3q IP. I think they'll all get along just fine! I look forward to using your recipes, particularly the marinara sauce to go into the stuffed peppers (that we have always loved). Question though, I read your instructions for those like me, who do not have the Cold & Hot Blender. It says, sear/sauté on NF. Please help me know what NF means. Thank you.
NF is the Ninja Foodi. You can make it stovetop or use the sear/sauté on the Ninja Foodi and then use an immersion blender or a regular blender (after it cools some) to blend it up.
You would need to rework the recipe because the rice absorbs the liquid and anything keto isn't going to do that. I would use the sear/sauté to make the beef mixture and then add some cauliflower rice. Steam the peppers without the filling and then stuff and bake.
It's not the appeal that would make a difference, it's the cooking technique. You would want to steam the peppers alone and then make the filling with cauliflower rice.
I absolutely love your videos. They are easy to follow and the recipes always turn out great. I am new to cooking so am going to apologize in advance if some of my questions are what my daughter would call "duh". Here goes! 1. Did I see you put a clove of garlic in your press without taking the skin off? I had no clue you did not have to remove the skin!! 2. Can I use red bell peppers in place of green? I have never been a fan of green peppers but love red. 3. Can I use broth if I do not have stock? Thank you to anyone in advance that can assist me!!
Yes, yes, and yes! Your questions are good ones. The garlic press I have doesn't require you to remove the skins which is awesome! Red peppers would be absolutely delicious. Broth or stock will work fine.
These look so good! 😍 I think I have all the ingredients to make them. Maybe tomorrow night I will try them. Thanks again! Love everything I've tried so far. The pot roast 2 nights ago was so good. 😋
I have a question. I cooked stuffed pepper soup in my pressure cooker, i couldnt get the smell out of my silicone seal ring. im assuming it was the green pepper. I tried lemon juice and water and steaming for 5 minutes, but then it mixed with the smell and it was worse. I had to throw it out. Do you (or anyone in the comment section) have any advice? Thank you for this great video. I love stuffed peppers!!
Maybe I’m just an idiot but I had major problem when I got to step 4, the steam section. Was I suppose to know to hit the temperature up arrow to turn the steam function on? I didn’t know that. It took me 30 minutes and four tries to figure that out.
When I use the steam function my foodi is making quite a bit of noise actually the entire time. Since you didn’t show yours steaming the entire time I was wondering if your ninja foodie makes the loud steam throughout the entire cooking process?
Off and on, yes. It's supposed to release the steam. Mine will be loud for a little bit and then quiet and then loud again. It really depends on what you are steaming.
Where was the steam coming from? If it's coming from the pressure valve or the pin, that is normal when steaming. It shouldn't be completely sealed or you are pressure cooking.
@@TheSaltedPepper I was pressure cooking and steam was coming out od the valve. I had it set on sealing. Once the pin dropped, it slowed down a lillte bit.
Every time I try this, the stuffing (meat&rice) gets burnt on the bottom of the pot. After only 5 min of pressure cooking- and I put plenty of liquids, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, I even added olive oil but to no avail- what am I doing wrong?

This looks delicious however the idea of stuffed peppers is peppers as you put the meat in raw and cook it all you get the pepper juice to meet juice and everything combined together so how would I do that in the pressure cooker I know when a restaurant makes stuff peppers they don't have time to ground the beef they put it in raw I can never find a recipe with raw meat cooking it. Because you could basically just Brown meat and put it in a pepper and that's not a stuffed pepper
You would have a difficult time doing it that way in a pressure cooker because the peppers would become too soft. I think that is one of the reasons that many people don't do it that way anymore. If you want a good texture on the pepper and fully cooked rice/beef, it's almost impossible to do that when they are stuffed with raw meat and rice. If you don't mind a really soft pepper, you can certainly do it that way. I would probably slow cook or bake on a low setting. You usually cover the peppers with the liquid/sauce so the rice has enough liquid to cook properly. I would be kind of surprised if restaurants cook the peppers with raw rice/beef unless they are a family owned restaurant using a family recipe that they have done a million times. The reason being is there is so much room for error and temperature issues that restaurants really can't afford to have.

They look delicious! Question: Where did you get your little glass bowls used to house your recipe ingredients?
The little ones are from the dollar store and the bigger ones are from Pampered Chef.
Where did you get the little grippers you used to take the rack out of the pressure cooker?
Would cauliflower work in place of the rice, or do you think that’d make a big difference in appeal?
It's not the appeal that would make a difference, it's the cooking technique. You would want to steam the peppers alone and then make the filling with cauliflower rice.

Hi Louise, what is the difference between the broil setting and the air fryer setting? Does the fan come on during the broil or not?
Yes, the fan comes on during broil, but just not as fast of a speed.
