I honestly thought blending the two songs just by glancing at the artists wouldn't work due to the differences in music genre and styles but, isosine not only blends the two perfectly with amazing quality but makes a unique audio and visual for the viewer. I give you mad props.
That man has a golden voice, and nothing emphasizes that more than hearing David's voice extracted and laid over another great tune :) Great job on the mash-up!
I feel a little better about the human race right now. I mean sure, we're terrible, but that somebody heard these two songs and had a light go off that they go together, and then did. That is so beautifully screwed up, and that is so human. Love it.
this isn't even that great of a mashup tbh, there's parts where the vocals go out of key despite the entirety of it being modulated to match. really the greatest thing is how the rhythm compliments each songs.
It is not how often the trick is performed, but how the trick is done and implemented in different ways. A mashup of a peppy pop tune with a metal-esque tune, is, some would argue; unique. And here we have it, a well worn out trick, brought into a new light; creatively. Bravo, isosine.
The creature in the end is what David Draiman raises as a newborn, and then when it is fully grown, he cooks and eats it, continuing the cycle after his feast. This is why he sounds so godly.
My ears....I simply cannot comprehend this mystical art that you have created. But I also can't wipe the huge grin off my face, so I applaud you greatly.
Disturbed but he went through therapy. He's still not completely okay, but he's doing better. Life still sucks, but he's learned he can fight past "the sickness" At first, this concept started as a joke, but now I think it might actually be a good metaphor for this song.
I have watched quite a few of these at this point... This is the most beautiful, yet seemingly blasphemous thing I've ever seen.... Thank you for this.....
Oh man. . . Isosine I gotta say that this is a gift. I've felt like shit for I don't even know how long now because I kind of forgot who I was and seeing this just made my day because Disturbed's like my favorite band. Seriously thanks dude.
I've been catching up on Isosine's new videos with the last 4 videos being slower paced electronica mashups. Those are nice and set a different pacing than these faster pop and metal mixes. This is really good even though both songs are vastly different, yet it works out in the end. Arguably, the faster and more varied mashups interest me, but anyhow, great job on this mix turning to be a success.
I am not into the Thrash Metal like the band Disturbed. My Husband is so I have heard Down With The Sickness many times and never cared for it.But I do love the vibrato in the Lead Singer's voice.I love the song Little Talks. One of my son's friends posted this mash up on Facebook.I decided to listen to it and much to my surprise,I LOVE IT!!!. And now I listen to everyday in 1 of my youtube playlists.
When you join a bunch of hippies on a trip and campfire songs turn into demonic sacrifices and it turns out it was actually a cult but everyones still really hype
He takes two songs with the same core progression. Then he splices out some of the audio tracks and overlap the two songs. Pretty much that, though it's more work then you might think.
Only thing I have to criticize is that they use two different keys, and the off note in the Disturbed song clashes hard with the Of Monsters and Men song. Other than that I love it
this mash-up:
50 % Disturbed
25% monsters
25% men
100% pure epicness
Love the break down xxx

And this is now on my phone...
4 years later, and this is still the best song I've ever heard.
Likewise
Ive been listening to this on and off for 10 years. Guess Im stuck
This mix was so good. I especially loved the off-notes, it really emphasized the Disturbed feel!
How did your mind even conceive this idea
O-O pixy dust
I would hope some really good shrooms. That's the only logical explanation

This is like dipping fries in a frosty. By all logic, it shouldn't work, but I'll be damned if it isn't fantastic regardless.
YES!!
+MrTirawi
Couple of my friends dipped fries in thickshakes.
Wasn't awesome but wasn't bad
Matt Kennedy Try dipping your spicy nuggets into a frosty. It is amazing. Just trust me on this one.
(pot helps)
MrTirawi ..well said!
MrTirawi its a peanut butter syrup and jelly sandwich (try it)
The intro killed me
OH - OH!!!!
OH-OH!!!
OOOWAHAHAHAA!!!!
"Can you feel that?"
HAPPY UPBEAT INTRO
It was like BOOM!
But did you feel it?
Holy shit. This is probably my favorite of your mashups. It just fits so fucking well.
I'll never understand how you can take two songs that I don't give a damn about and then meld them together into one that I love
Im surprised this mashup stills up and kicking after a decade.
I really didn't expect david's voice to sound great with such cheery music but damn
That man has a golden voice, and nothing emphasizes that more than hearing David's voice extracted and laid over another great tune :)
Great job on the mash-up!
Can we take a moment for how well-made the visuals are? The mashup of the two videos is just as perfect as the audio.
I was waiting for isosine to do something with Little Talks.
I also love how both of these songs about mental illness.
I randomly remembered that you made this today. It was worth revisiting.
I would never believe that somebody will make this IN 2014. Wtf? It’s amazing
It's much more than that. This guy takes all the variables into consideration. That's why all his mixes work so well, he knows what he is doing.
...I have no idea how you even made this work.
wtf. and holy shit.
this is incredible.
Наконец-то руки дошли, это восхитительно!
I feel a little better about the human race right now. I mean sure, we're terrible, but that somebody heard these two songs and had a light go off that they go together, and then did. That is so beautifully screwed up, and that is so human. Love it.
These songs... they shouldn't work... but they do... WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!
yeah agreed some strange hoodoo
Isosine is an alchemist frfr.

it's called melody
Isosine is a music mage. A bard if you will.
The vibe this gives me:

I am pretty sure I have watched this at least 100 times since it it was 1st posted. It's my all time favorite mash up and 2 of my favorite bands.
Roomie Official brought me here, now subbed :)
Same

Mashups like this make really appreciate the quality of the vocals in a song I otherwise would not enjoy.
Ah I'm so glad you're still doing metal/pop mashups! Love your work man, I haven't heard a mix from you I don't like yet. Pure talent.
Now every time I hear Little Talks in public I think of Down With the Sickness
I feel just the same way and sometimes I am confused about that.
My ears....I simply cannot comprehend this mystical art that you have created. But I also can't wipe the huge grin off my face, so I applaud you greatly.
Putting DWTS with any other song just makes the other song sound 500X angrier.
I clicked on this by accident and wasn't gonna watch it but I'm kind of glad I did.
Wow so diffrent songs, but you make them match perfectly :o
I didn't think this would work, I was pleasantly surprised
10 years ago and this is still good
I have a really hard time listening to "Little Talks" any more thanks to this. XD
I.
I'm speechless.
Your recent work has been off the charts.
o.o what...why does this work so well!?
Ace Seville i really dont know....is like magic o.o
because its isosine
WHY DOES THIS WORK
Science.

Brilliant mashup mate. Absolutely brilliant with both the audio and video.
isosine, i got to say you're very talented for picking up the right keys from songs to mix, almost always your mixes fit fluently.
playing this at my funeral if i get sick and die
when, not if.
ItsNotMyBong You don't always die from illnesses m8, hell he could be mauled by his cat and die lol
Well that's now a possibility now

Bahaha it starts off with happy fanfare music and then the first lyrics are "down and deep in my sea of loathing" WTF
It is kind of reflective of Little Talks’ lyrics, just replace sad with angry.

Yet another two songs I will never hear the same way again. Thank you isosine,
"Its slowly changiiing"
:)
"In MEEEEEEEE"
.... WHAT HAPPENED
This singing is beautiful...... I never listened to Disturbed like this. Never heard the beauty underlying the violent noise.
This is why I love you, Isosine
Wow just wow. Most mixes of metal songs ruin the songs but this one is awesone!!
Wow, just wow, you took a song that I haven't been able to enjoy in the longest time, and renewed it.
-whispers- you're playing god
who the hell would unlike this, this is just......AMAZING
Seriously I don't know how someone can keep doing these mixes... never mind KEEP DOING THEM XD
Holy. shit. this. is. perfect! definitely one of the best mash-ups I have come across. EVER!!! just WOW!!
How isosine always manages to do this astounds me
Once again another AMAZING PIECE!!! Well done Isosine!!!!!!!!
This is so friggin well done, you can't help but appreciate it. Thanks isosine!

Ancronis
*chord progression, not core - you're near the top, and this'll help anyone who decides to google that term :)
thats what makes it funny, its so bad. lol
cybergeek11235 it's also a similar tempo because if you slow or speed up a song too much it just sounds weird
For anyone interested in observing how chord progressions work:

damn... absolute vibes , i was not expecting
How can these mashups be so good that I actually start to like a song that I previously couldn't stand??
Only thing I have to criticize is that they use two different keys, and the off note in the Disturbed song clashes hard with the Of Monsters and Men song. Other than that I love it
You'd never guess by my username that I was thrilled to see this
Isosine. This is another badass Mash-up good job man!
This is Psychosocial Baby level of brilliance. Amazing!
Then let my introduce you to X Gon Give It To Ya Maybe
Wow this is very well done.
One of your best uploads :D
Down with the sickness seems to be getting a lot of mashups these days. Props.
Wow.. this mixes together better than I thought it would..
This is beautiful, it matches perfectly with the tempo and sound, well done!
Very awesome. Getting closer to that psychosocial baby gold every time you release a new song.
When you want to feel cool but you're doing dishes:
Absolutely sick asf ❤🤘🤘
@2:50 TO ABOUT 3:10 PERFECTLY SUMS UP THIS AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
I never knew I needed a mashed up song so much.
This... This is why I love you Isosine :D
I love how the drummer is going crazy in disturbeds part and the music is so calm.
I would love to hear more by Of Disturbed Monsters And Men.
this is actually better then both songs alone
Nah lol
all thease mash-ups make me happy~
these melodies sound like a celebration of the crazyness and beauty of life n.n
These should not be mixed together ! But I love it ! Keep surprising us.
still one of my all time ever favorite song mashups
0:53 You've woken up the female... IN ME. This is what I hear except with the occasional demon
Words cannot explain how happy this makes me ;~;
I've been waiting for something like this
This is awesome I love Disturbed and Of Monsters And Men so this mash up is perfect!
wow i did not expect such a great mashup.good job good sir!
Love it-probably the best mashup I've ever heard.
Bloody Amazing! need more along these lines in my life!
This shouldn't work. This should NOT work. But it does. Somehow it does. Well done, sir.
I was really hoping this would have the "No mommy, don't hurt me ow!" part. But if that didn't work with the mix, that's cool. Good stuff by the way!
I am so happy this exists.
Sweet Jesus the verses actually work
Suddenly both these songs are actually good.
im actually upset that this worked so well together... well more like upset that i enjoyed it so thoroughly
perfect to put it with the video as well, just genius!
I read the title thinking these two songs wont work but isosine your amazing
