The original Team Fortress was actually a Quake mod. This is a full fledged game based off of the mod. The original TF2 looked gritty and more realistic compared to the cartoonish and light hearted game we know today.

Man, I would love to get back into it. I wonder how many OG players are still around. I would have gotten a lot of shit for taking those grenade packs as sniper, by the way. LMAO
it's pretty dead really bud, there 1 or 2 server populated servers with people if you look in the evenings. nice, you played around the same time as me. were u involved with the sniper community at all? i did jump in a game about 6 months ago and came across 2 guys i knew from WAY back in the day which was nice. LOL about the grenade bags :P

However, I did play with basically the same group of people throughout my entire TFC experience. I started out playing on Yiffy Foxies server. Bunch of furries there and I had no idea what a furry was back then LMAO. Then I played on Crowbars of Justice which basically started in the wake of Yiffy being shutdown. I can't remember what other servers I played on except some 24/7 Dustbowl server.
I remember you could change the FOV as any class with a console command, letting you zoom in with any weapon. Pretty useless, but was funny snipping with the AR and getting called a hack.
I only played sniper class and put countless hours into it. On 2fort it was best to hold the dot on the wall in front of the exit point this way opposing snipers didn't see the dot thinking they were clear to peak. Once they come out you flick and pop. Chunked every time
@@feeney0213 yea thats a very basic sniper trick for 2fort and 2fort_sniper. When were u active on this game? We had a huge sniper community in the early 2000's. Hundreds of snipers and dozens of clans. We ran leagues for it too called SLV2 (sniper league version 2 and so on) amazing time to be online. So many forgotten names and legends lost to time.

Back then most clans were too uptight about scheduling practices. I just enjoyed loading up winamp and rocking out while chunking people. My tag was silent-demon. You'd remember that name if you ran into me. I had to have people spectate me to get people to stop crying that I was using aimbot
Doesnt ring any bells, i only remember a few names from the community. Alot of us were accused of cheating back then. Should have stuck with the sniper community. Great times. Good to know some1 from back then watched my vid at the very least. Its a shame we have no footage from back then, nothing to show for it.

I've been playing this off and on for years still some epic maps, the layout is epic and the nostalgia is really bringing it back to life, they should upgrade but just the texture and look but keep it intact as gameplay, its one of the most satisfying original game play

Hmm, why do TF2 do not players play this? I mean, TF2 is Already infested with hackers, why dont play TFC? Its easy, those are the same classes, they have more guns, Valve just have to update this game, adding Random drops, modes, maps and comunity maps, obviously with the same textures of TFC so hackers wont (i guess) install this game, and then, when the hackers leave TF2 we can repoblate that game, from zero, and probably Valve will add some VAC Updates. That is my solution to TF2.
my childhood =) for some reason my main memory of TFC is i wud always be playing it on a holiday as i waited for family members to either arrive to our house to eat, or for my fam to tell me it was time to get in the car to go lol. I dunno why. In reality i played it year round - yet the holiday memories stuck =) Loved it, and always played sniper near exclusively

the trick to win sniper fights here on 2fort is prefiring your shots
We called it blind shooting way back in the day

the classic in tfc is just the stock sniper rifle but tf2 makes it more uniqe
