This is the 1st option i have seen that I actually like the styling. I bag on the KRK and Honda but this shows promise IMO. Yea, could use some clutch tuning and maybe play with a few things down the road, but I think they have a winner here. Great video . . you really know how to do a solid review.
Thanks man. Glad you liked the review. As for your comments, I agree 100% with what you are saying. I think the cage looks cool but after inspecting it I feel it could use a bit of work. As far as styling is concerned I like it. I think if they added a nice full door this thing would have looked amazing. It has a really sporty and sleek look to it. Fit and finish is quite nice. We need to let them work out all the little gremlins and see how they do in the longer term. Then we can cast a better judgement. First impressions are solid though.
Thank you for your insightful comment! I completely agree with you about the Segway Villain SXS. Its styling is definitely a standout, and I appreciate the attention to detail with features like the oval slots in the door. It's great to see a well-equipped option for off-roading enthusiasts like us. By the way, if you're into outdoor camping and value quality family time, I highly recommend checking out Segway's Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods, with a massive capacity and fast recharging capabilities. Definitely worth considering for your outdoor adventures!

Great video as always. I'm going through withdrawal waiting for the season to open up for more riding and videos. Thx. Price, bang for the buck, quality, service, support and accessories. It is significant to say the least and there are many current manufacturers, those who've been at this game a while , who still do not have their act together.
Stoked you liked the video. I agree with everything you are saying. It's true, this is an incredibly hard market to break into. They will have to play all their cards right. Time will tell how things go.
That thing is one sweet beast I loved it the first time I seen them love the look of the quads also can't wait to see the electric ones go thanks bro great video 👍and thanks Segway
How was the cabin heat? If any at all. That's one thing I look for before I buy a sxs. Can't stand riding on a beautiful hot summers day and the cabin heat is burning you and your passenger and your favourite beverage is boiling. By the way love this new contender! For the price and for my style of riding tight trails and little of mud and gravel roads it's right up my alley. I hope they come out with a 64 inch wide model
Good review! It's a wicked looking machine that is for sure. Our dealer here has a few atvs. Looking forward to when the Villian and Fugelman arrive. Thanks for your honest review.
Great job on the review! Very informative and look forward to seeing you review the hybrid. For the price point listed you do appear to get lots of value with Segway when considering the street legal kit, harnesses, roof, nice digital gauges & touch screen, reservoirs on the shocks and decent sized tires. Be curious to see how the aftermarket takes to these and see what accessories Segway makes available and at what kind of pricing. Most importantly to me would be seeing how durable, reliable and serviceable these things are overtime along with how they handle warranty claims. I'm not convinced to trade in my RZR but could be a contender for me to consider down the line. Keep up the quality Canadian content!
99% of the companies are using the same parts from the same vendors to build their sxs. Being competitive financially makes that necessary. Durability is subjective, however the average sxs is very durable for the common driver. NOT the enthist that thinks they are a trophy truck and shoudnt break.
Hey man. I agree with everything you said, excellent comment. I 100% agree that we need to wait and see how these machines hold up in the long term and how Segway supports it's customers through warranty and accessories. Only time will show these things. I think how well the aftermarket supports this chassis will be based on how many units they sell. It's a supply and demand thing. Hopefully Segway plays all their cards right, if they do there is definitely some potential here.
Thank you for your feedback! I completely agree with your points about the Segway SXS and its value for the price. When it comes to the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series, I highly recommend it for outdoor enthusiasts like us. With its massive capacity, armor design, powerful output, and fast recharging capabilities, it's perfect for powering our devices and appliances during camping trips or as a reliable backup power source at home. Plus, the waterproof technology and comprehensive protections make it durable and safe to use. Overall, it's definitely worth considering for anyone who values quality and reliability. Keep enjoying your outdoor adventures!
Nice looking SxS...what makes it different? Where is the added value? Suspension? Motor? Cost? Dealer network? Right now I don't see anything unique about their powersports offering just more mid market products. I wish them the best but unless they have an outstanding value proposition, they are in for a long hard ride. PS. I use zip ties on my cameras, even if they get knocked off they are still attached to the vehicle (or my helmet).
I'm not big on the fenders, they look cool but in practice it just seems the mud is going to fly everywhere. I even added to my factory fenders on my rzr turbo to block more than the stock fenders do. Other than that I think it seems like an awesome SXS. I would want to know about the 4 wheel drive and belt/clutch and how well they work and last.
Ya, the fenders leave a bit to be desired but like you said, should be something you can remedy with some extended flares. The real questions will be answered after these machines are around for a while. We need to see how they hold together in the long run. Time will tell.
How serviceable is the CVT? I skipped a bit so might be mentioned but didnt notice much said about it. I'm not a fan of CVT's but its an important point on how long it takes to change a belt.
Whos motor and clutch set up, who actually makes the shocks? If they wanna sell SXS they gotta have the best shocks with adjustability, good harnesses, more hp with a turbo, and a good gps screen/radio and a 64in model . I was set on a X3 XDS until I saw the Pro XP Ultimate in person. I backed out on the X3 XDS
The Pro XP Ultimate is a beast of a machine. If I was out to get a brand new machine then it's the one I would get. As for the Segway, they do have a 64 inch model, I was provided with a 72 inch model to test here. Segway builds the engines and the shocks are branded Segway. I am assuming the shocks must be out sourced to a company that specializes in suspension. Not sure if the engines are assembled in house or also outsourced. I'm still learning about these. I wasn't provided with too much concrete information on the units. Hopefully next time I get a chance to ride one I'll have more information. As for a turbo model, I don't think their eggs are in that basket, their flagship model will be the Hybrid which is supposed to have around 197HP.
I was thinking it was like a zforce 950 too. Especially with the interior and the cool digital dash. Cfmotos also come with horns too. In a way it also reminds me of a rimac too.
Pretty cool, BUT it sounds under powered, looks kinda slow, should have good harnesses in it like the Pro XP, Should have clicker shocks. Unless this is like a 15k price point machine?
It has adjustable suspension, it just requires a flat head screwdriver, it doesn't utilize a knob like the Polaris or Can-Am. The harnesses leave room for improvement but by no means were they awful. The machine starts at $19,995 Canadian so in American Dollars that's about $16,250.
My KRX is running 35 inch terminators stock. Will it do that? Ohhh and I have to let off the throttle to get them to hook up. I like the Machine my first thought on the rear suspension was Like an X3. I also love your channel. I live in Alaska. The riding you do is more like the riding we do. If this company competes with can am great things will come. Alot of this is my opinion .
35's stock man! On stock clutching and it puts the power down good?? No broken diff or axles? That's impressive. We keep bugging Corny, the guy with the Green KRX, to put on some 33's or 35's. I would love to get out to Alaska in the future to explore and ride. Stoked you enjoy the channel.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd he should at least go 33 it handles them well. I have 2" paddles on my machine and the clutch handles it well no crazy cvt Temps. I have heard you can blow your front diff. However clutch handles it well. I am slower on the top end but it's a hill climbing mud slinger. I realy enjoyed your comments about the KRX.
I like the way it has the front diff lock reminds me of how Yamaha Rhino’s were I’m not to fond of how it looks. And I can’t wait to see y’all test it out on a real technical trail
I had a 2022 Can Am Maverick sport Xxc 1000r and I'm thinking really hard right now about getting the Segway Villain sx10 x that's 64 inches wide. How would you compare the 2 vs each other? Thanks for your time and excellent video review 👍
Nice looking unit, looked a bit sketchy when you really get into the throttle. Does it run an open rear diff ?. One thing I didn’t really like was the 4x4 switch. Looked like after thought and they ran out and grab one of a Yamaha grizzly 660 lol. Overall seems legit and congrats on being the first to check it out. 👍👍
It wasn't too bad in the high speed actually. The tire pressures and shock settings could of used some fine tuning. It has a locked rear diff as well as open I think. I didn't get a ton of specific info on it before using it so a lot of the details are still unclear to me. I'm hoping to learn a bit more about it. As for the 4X4 switch, it seems a ton of the other "off shore" UTV's use this style of switch. I am not a fan of it either but it does the job.
Segway is building the engines themselves. They setup a pretty cool assembly facility in one of their Chinese factories. It looks pretty high tech. Looks like the ECU and a lot of the wiring, throttle body, stuff like that resembles Bosch products. I think the ECU is made by Bosch but don’t quote me on that.
Sorry I wasn't paying attention when you were describing the buttons and controls. I was trying to figure out your girl's expressions. She is a darling,. Maybe she was planning the next shoot, or dozing off.
The designers of this machine gave more attention to beautiful looks than making a functional design like the Polaris. The Polaris has a higher roof with more straight lines for a reason. Also it is more boxy for a reason. Also, the rear bumper is there for a reason. All these elements are to stop the machine from rolling when you tip it on its side. The higher roof brings the machine to a stop compared to the Segway that its roof is lower with more curves. In case it tips on an incline, it will roll down the hill like an egg. Also, the rear is as round as an egg. Also the front is like an egg. The designers of the Segway should pay more attention to function than beauty and LED lighting. The Polaris rear bumper creates a sharp corner to stop the curve of its body. Same functional elements can be found on Polaris entire body including its roof. I think Segway is in its infancy stage without much invested on design. As long as it looks cool, that is what matters to them. It is years behind Polaris with its bidirectional clutch, on-demand 4wheel drive and functional overall design. A mistake if you trade in your Polaris for this.
Hey man, I can't argue a lot of the points you raise and in all honesty, I'm not here to argue for Segway. I drive a Polaris and have driven a Polaris RZR for over 10 years. There are many reasons I choose to own a RZR and you list a few of them. I will be the first one to say I am nowhere near ready to trade in my RZR Turbo for another machine. However, I love the other machines too, I love competition in the industry, I love variety on the trails and I love trying new vehicles. I wish Segway the best and hope the have a good team in place because this will be a difficult journey for them even if things go well. It is a tough market and users demand a lot. Polaris and Can-Am have set the bar very high. I think the cage in general needs work, I saw flaws right away. The clutching needs work. I'm sure there will be other growing pains but that is natural and expected. I think that if Segway is smart they will find some good consultants in the industry and really work hard over the next season or two to iron out all the wrinkles in their design. They need to find some people that truly understand this niche from more then a textbook perspective. If they can do this then they will have a chance at competing down the line. They are a big brand, they should be able to pull it off if they execute correctly. I can't wait to try the Hybrid and if I was gonna get a 2nd SXS I would consider something like the Hybrid model as it would be a fun experience.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd You said it all so well !!! They need to find a consultant who is into this industry. Looking forward for more of your videos and play safe. God bless you always.
@@atvstel Thanks man. Hey Segway... if you need a consultant... just sayin, I'm right here. Reach out. I would do a great job testing your product, displaying it online and offering constructive feedback.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Again you have been helpful offering help. I hope they read your post and ask for your help. Who knows better where the property line of the land is besides grandpa? You get my analogy? These people should do more research and ask for help. The world has many nice people like you ready to help. They have to understand why the jeep and the Mercedes G are so square. Why their windshield is perpendicular and not aerodynamic. Everything has a function. The windshield is perpendicular to be protected from any rocks that fall from cliffs on trails. It is not that they don't have any taste in design. Also, the tall boxy cage of the Yamaha rhino serves a purpose. In case it tips, it will stop and maybe slide but not keep rolling like a ball. When you design a trail vehicle, you have to consider safety and function. You must keep it as boxy as possible. As square as possible. As many sharp angles as possible. You don't make it look like a sand dune buggy. Segway has to redesign it from the beginning. At least they can try to minimize the amount of mud that enters the cabin. It's like a mud shower in the cabin. The entire vehicle needs to be redesigned. The CEO is your friend and I bet he'll reach out to you for improvement ideas. They will come out winners.
Hey Chris. I think I mentioned it but the Tires are 30X10X14 on beadlocks stock and about 14-14.5 inches of ground clearance. I'll be releasing a more in depth walk around video next week.
I would suggest a bigger front bumper right away. so far, not real impressive, might be better for casual drivers. just doesn't seem as trail worthy as the other manufacturers. going mudding with that touch screen would be bad. thanks for the great vid hope I wasn't being too negative just wanted to give feed back to the company.
Segway builds the engines and the shocks are branded Segway. I am assuming the shocks must be out sourced to a company that specializes in suspension. Not sure if the engines are assembled in house or also outsourced. I'm still learning about these. I wasn't provided with too much concrete information on the units.
Yes. The shocks are branded Segway and I don’t know if they are made in house. I would guess they are out sourcing them to a company that specializes in suspension and then branding them Segway. Don’t quote me on this, just speculation at this point. The specific and detailed info I have regarding all this is still quite limited.
Great video! I have a question, I don't see information about this: how many kilometers can a Segway Villain travel on a full tank? I've been told it's between 160km and 200km, but I hope it's more 😅 Thank you very much
I just got a the 2021 segway snarler at6 l the blue one. Great machine but I hate it for some reasons. 1 Noone wants to work on it. 2 can not find ANY Accessories for it 3 can't get a shop to warenty fix my exhaust heat shields that won't stop vibration when at 4000rpm. And 4 can't get warenty on my oil pressure sensor light flashing on my dash. Like I said great atv but the service is shit. I have 460km on it already had it for 3 months
The price point is gunna be the main thing. If you’re a new comer to the scene you need to get below the competition or you’ll crap the bed. If this is anywhere near 23k I’d just get an x3 with a turbo motor.
It’s got some cool features but performance is what matters . I would have like to see them take the time on the clutch ! There is no way that unit could keep up with a x3 in heavy terrain ! 1 of 10 what would you personally rate it ? 10 being the best...
Hey Brad. I agree, you get some decent options out of the box. I heard they are using CVtech clutches which is good. I do think they need to dial in the clutching both for high speed and low speed. The machine could be snappier in high too, it feels as though it could put the power down better with improved clutching. In low it definitely needs some work to improve crawling and reduce belt slip. These are things I'm hoping they will address before a lot of units are sold. I'm also not convinced regarding the durability of the roll cage. on a scale of 1-10... it's hard since I still want to try a few things before I judge them too hard. I'd have to hold out on an overall rating for now. I am trying to be open minded. If I was forced to judge it in it's current state let me give some context on the performance of 1000CC machines. A RZR XP 1000 being a 8.5/10 A Maverick X3 (non-turbo) being 8.5/10 A KRX being a 7.5/10 A Maverick Sport being a 7.5/10 A Yamaha YXZ being a 7.5/10 In it's current state I would have to rate the Segway somewhere between a 6.5-7/10 with the potential to score higher if they can figure out the clutching issues. If the clutching was perfect and it proves to be reliable in the long term then I can see it scoring around a 7.5-8.5/10 no problem. Please take the above ratings with a grain of salt. I am generalizing. It's just supposed to give some perspective. I wouldn't score any 1000cc machine 10/10 out of the box.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd thanks for the review! I have drove many of machines and always like to see new ones come to the market . See if you can get them to take ya to some rocks . See how it does . Keep your eye on the new Speed UTV . Old Robbie is getting that machine burning right
Ya it does come with a bunch of options standard which is nice. The 1/2 door thing is something our crew talks about all the time. None of us understand it.
It’s mentioned in the video and available on the Segway Powersports websites. It depends where you are located. In Canada they start at $19,995 Canadian Dollars.
In Canada the starting price is $19,995 (about $16,300 US). After taxes and fees it comes out to around 22-23K Canadian I believe. So in and around the price of a RZR XP 1000.
Looks very similar to a canam x3 copy. Suspension looks identical to an x3 also. That being said, it kinda makes me wonder if canam will be releasing and fully redesigned x3 replacement soon. Definitely like the tech in the interior. Pretty nice machine overall based on your review, nice work!!
Glad you liked the video man. I agree, there are a lot of areas on this machine that resemble a Can-Am X3. The entire rear suspension setup reminds me of it and the front does too with the shock tower and shock placement. They are using systems that have proven to be effective. It makes sense from a design perspective. With all that being said it was a ton of fun to drive and the suspension felt good.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Heck yea man definitely a good platform there. Should be a decent contender in the lineup of utvs. More competition will definitely drive this industry farther forward to much better products across the board. Also I think that segway will look killer with a sleek cage and bigger tires. Cant wait to see you run the hybrid version to see how it compares.
@@1978JWJ yea I've been hearing rumours that something will be coming but when I think depends on where their competition lies. They have a pretty solid platform right now and have been making some refinements over that last few years but a replacement will be coming no matter what. When Robby Gordon gets his machine to the market, whenever it is, it's coming lol but it will be at a new level and both canam and polaris I think are waiting for that to happen. That's when this industry is going to really explode and we the consumer get to experience some truly badass stuff. The utv market is like experiencing the early muscle car war era today in a new form of vehicle with hp and suspension battles. Gonna be cool to see where it goes in the next few years.
I didn't top it out here but mark said he had it up to around 110km/h on the road. Next time I get my hands on it I'll make sure to see how fast we can make it go.
@@wraith511802003 I don’t disagree with that statement. I agree that the market segment they will be effecting most is the buyers that would consider buying a machine other then a Polaris or a Can-Am. I would say the build quality and performance is way way better then CF Moto. It’s gonna be hard for them to keep up with the big two, especially this early on.
@Jimmy Burns I hear people saying this more and more. Maybe I need to give it a shot just to say I have. My personal experiences with CF MOTO have not been the greatest but I'd be willing to try another one out.
LOL, the beeping is annoying.... It felt pretty good at speed in the bumps. As for the goofy look... I don't mind the styling. I like the curvy lines and think that with a few aftermarket tweaks it could look really good,
@@OdysseyOffroad ya, Segway builds and assembles the engines. Not sure what engine it’s modelled after. I’m sure they must be following the layout and design of another engine. Unless they engineered it from scratch.

Not sure... I kind want one too, lol. I don't want to get rid of my RZR but I really want the Hybrid model, just because it's so different and innovative. It would be a blast to experience it.
107 HP, that sounds kind of lame? Sure, it's plenty of power for your dad's dad. But is it for you? Picture yourself in the dunes with that thing, 107 HP would be weak sauce. Seems NA is so 2014.
Stoked you likes the video! I'm super excited to try the hybrid model also.
Excellent job on the review! I like it. Can't wait for more vids !
Thanks Darrell. Glad you enjoyed the video. I'll have some more Segway related content coming soon.
Great review mate !!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
It's definitely a lot like my 950. Were I live I need the 64 inch that I have. But that is a great machine.
Ya, I agree. 64 inches is wide enough for my needs too. 72 is huge for tight trails.
Good review! It's a wicked looking machine that is for sure. Our dealer here has a few atvs. Looking forward to when the Villian and Fugelman arrive. Thanks for your honest review.
Looks fun... good review... thanks!
Keep enjoying your outdoor adventures!
will there be a 64 inch version of it, because here in quebec canada gatineau 64'' is the max we can have in the trail legaly
Agreed but if the price is right the interior advantages can put it on top of others.
So when are these expecting in the states?
What do you think of the Segway Powersports brand? Do they have what it takes to compete? Leave a comment below!
I keep reading that people think they took notes from can am when building it but I think it looks like a rzr pro in styling.
Looks to me those a arms and trailing arms are parts right off the x3
@@thomasblais3612 Ya, the suspension components and setup look incredibly similar to a Can-Am Maverick X3.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd I'm just wondering how you could put front fenders on that thing. You turn at all with any speed and it's coming in the cab
How serviceable is the CVT? I skipped a bit so might be mentioned but didnt notice much said about it. I'm not a fan of CVT's but its an important point on how long it takes to change a belt.
It looks simple. Cove looks unobstructed and easy to get off. Next time I get my hands on it I think I’ll pull the cover and take a look.
Looks and sounds good. I always felt like Jeep should get in on the action with a SXS/atv.
That would be cool. I don't see it happening but it would be interesting for sure. I used to be a Jeep guy before I got my first RZR XP 900 in 2011.
If you enjoy spending twice as much lol!
Actually. That’s a good idea.
It would be in the shop more than you'd drive it... Jeeps are garbage and way overpriced
Looks like a cross between the cf moto zforce 950 sport and a can am x3
I was thinking it was like a zforce 950 too. Especially with the interior and the cool digital dash. Cfmotos also come with horns too.
In a way it also reminds me of a rimac too.
Looks like I need to get my hands on a new CF Moto to test.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd not saying the cfmoto is as good as them two brands but the zforce 950 sport is a prettt decent machine at 12k usd
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd oh I thought u mentioned they didn't adj and they were just res shocks
@@kevinruddles452 I’m a big fan of the KRX for trail riding. It has really impressed the whole crew.
I like the way it has the front diff lock reminds me of how Yamaha Rhino’s were I’m not to fond of how it looks. And I can’t wait to see y’all test it out on a real technical trail
The true test will be when we get it out with the rest of the crew!! I also can't wait. Ya, the 4X4 switch does look like that.
I had a 2022 Can Am Maverick sport Xxc 1000r and I'm thinking really hard right now about getting the Segway Villain sx10 x that's 64 inches wide. How would you compare the 2 vs each other? Thanks for your time and excellent video review 👍
How's the legroom compared to the KRX 1000 or RZR?
I am not a fan of it either but it does the job.
who makes the engine ?
Segway is building the engines themselves. They setup a pretty cool assembly facility in one of their Chinese factories. It looks pretty high tech. Looks like the ECU and a lot of the wiring, throttle body, stuff like that resembles Bosch products. I think the ECU is made by Bosch but don’t quote me on that.
Sorry I wasn't paying attention when you were describing the buttons and controls. I was trying to figure out your girl's expressions. She is a darling,. Maybe she was planning the next shoot, or dozing off.
She's a keeper! I couldn't make a lot of these videos without her help! She's probably just thinking... when is this guy gonna shut up, LOL!

I have a question, I don't see information about this: how many kilometers can a Segway Villain travel on a full tank? I've been told it's between 160km and 200km, but I hope it's more 😅 Thank you very much
Its 180- 310km depending on throttle and HP needed on a tank.

Wats the top speed?
The price point is gunna be the main thing. If you’re a new comer to the scene you need to get below the competition or you’ll crap the bed. If this is anywhere near 23k I’d just get an x3 with a turbo motor.
It sounds like a krx and had the rear suspension from a x3
Looks hot . 🔥
Looks like cfm moto designed this. Is there any partnership with other brands or is this just Segway
I don't feel its anything like a CF MOTO chassis or performance wise. Much better design and build quality. More like an X3 then anything else.
I like the looks of it would like to see how it works with krx size tires
Ya the styling is cool. The tires are almost the same size as a KRX. The KRX runs a 31x10x14 this one runs a 30x10x14.
Thats cool they look smaller on vid
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd krx runs a 31-10-15
@@dustieolson7513 Oh cool man, didn't realize the KRX ran a 15. Thought it was a 14. Thanks for clarifying.
A RZR XP 1000 being a 8.5/10
A Maverick X3 (non-turbo) being 8.5/10
A KRX being a 7.5/10
A Maverick Sport being a 7.5/10
A Yamaha YXZ being a 7.5/10
In it's current state I would have to rate the Segway somewhere between a 6.5-7/10 with the potential to score higher if they can figure out the clutching issues.

Glad you liked the video man. I agree, there are a lot of areas on this machine that resemble a Can-Am X3. The entire rear suspension setup reminds me of it and the front does too with the shock tower and shock placement. They are using systems that have proven to be effective.
