Jailbreak doesn’t erase any data from the device but backing up your data just in case is recommended always !

If your iPad is 2.1 , 2.2 , 2.3 or 2.4 then happy days you can jailbreak it and downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3 and install ipa's for old games . I've done that on my iPad 2 and iOS 6.1.3 on iPad 2 runs very good !!
Hi. Had to reset my ipad2 which I’d like to use just to read pdf files. Due to the reset can’t install any pdf app or any other kind for that matter. By jailbreaking the device will I be able to install a pdf reader? Also, is there a file system app available for ipad2 jailbroken? Tkx
Hey , first I'd ask whether you own any newer iPhone? If yes then by jailbreaking your iPad 2 will allow you to download any pdf app that you let's say have already downloaded on your newer apple device . In that case your iPad will be able to download the latest compatible version . As for the file system app . Once you are jailbroken you can download "filza " from cydia
How do you get the jailbreak icon on your computer? I don't have that. And where is toolbox on the computer
You need to download 3utools , you will find it at www.3u.com . Once you install it you will find the toolbox in the programme
can you jailbreak newer ipads?
@NelsonCelira iPads that run up to iOS 14.8 can be jailbroken. I'm not sure about iOS 14.8.1 and onwards though
after i got pheonix and click kickstart jailbreak and then ipad restart but no cydia app on screen
Open phoenix again and try it one more time because sometimes phoenix doesn't work with the first attempt

do i find all the apps that has been deleted from app store ?
@Perämoottori that depends on how you mean it . If you had downloaded an app at some point in the past and then you deleted it from your device and now you trying to download it again then you'll be able to find it in the "purchased " section . On the other hand if you're talking about an app that used to be in the app store but the creator has deleted it then I guess you won't be able to find it
When i try to jailbreak. it says please activate your device first. i am stuck on activation lock screen. Any suggestions?? I have ipad 2 9.3.5 ios

@@ashwindubey7200 @sdyt263 I have the same problem, bought it from someone on FB marketplace and they never fully signed out, it was factory rest but on activation, it requiers the previous owner's crcredentials. Anyone know how to get around this?

Try on a different usb port and keep the screen of your device on while jailbreaking.
Is your 3utools up to date ? If it is an available update of 3utools do that first and then jailbreak
How do I download apps after the jailbreak?
Head to App Store and download the apps you want

@SaidDouiss to be able to download apps on iOS 9.3.5/9.3.6 you should have an other iOS device that runs newer iOS like iPhone 6s let’s say which is on iOS 12 or newer and you have to login on both devices with the same Apple ID . That means when you download an app on your newer iOS device then you can go to your iOS 9.3.5/9.3.6 device and in AppStore in the “purchased “section you’ll be able to download the latest compatible version of that app to your iOS 9.3.5/9.3.6 device !

I'll be doing this as well thanks for the instructions , I recently received a BRAND NEW iPad TWO my God lol my grandpa never touched it.
its a shame apple locks their old devices out of new updates and purposely slows down old devices , what a shit thing to do, that's why I never pay for ipads or buy any apple products anymore , I once owned my own iPad 2 and it was quick and snappy until one day an ios update ruined it , these tablets aren't slow they just get slowed down by the company that makes them , and that's honestly disgraceful.

10% jailbreak failed. Followed all instructions till that point, iTunes installed, antivirus disabled etc. last two messages in red verifying the downloaded files, elapsed time

Try and re jailbreak and keep the screen of your device unlocked and on . Are you jailbreaking on iOS 9 right ?

hi SDYT, i have an icloud bypassed ipad 2 9.3.5, i tried these steps but stops at 70% with jailbreak failed.
if I am not the original owner of the ipad with the apple ID, this will not work?
Hey @emydg.9872 make sure you have installed the latest version of iTunes (you need that for the drivers ) and make sure you have the latest version of 3utools and try again . The fact that you have bypassed the iPad doesn't affect the jailbreak :)
thanks for the reply bro, I actually have two ipads. tried them both but jailbreak failed. will update 3utools and itunes and try the jailbreak again.
@emydg.9872 when you jailbreak again try keeping the screen on and unlocked
updated itunes and 3utools, i got the same error. even tried sideloading phoenix and still no luck.
@emydg.9872 do you have a spare usb cable to try or try in a different usb port as well

The Cydia keeps on crashing... Is there a way to fix it?
Before you open cydia , open phoenix app and tap on "jailbreak " then most likely your device will respring . Once it's back to home screen tap on cydia app to open it . If cydia fails to open then jailbreak your device again

I have done it many times but still the cydia keeps on crashing.
@@whitegutz123 then I'd say back up your data and do a factory reset on your device and see if that fixes the issue

@NicolaiSimon when you do the jailbreak do you get any error ? Like when your device is connected to your laptop ? If not then once the jailbreak is done go to : settings / general/device management and there you’ll see your Apple ID email address . Make sure you have tapped on it and verify it (just tap “verify”) then go and open phoenix app and tap “kickstart jailbreak” . Your device will reboot . Once it has rebooted then go and open Cydia . A pop up will appear and will say “your storage is full “ tap “done “ and wait for cydia to load !

Contact the previous owner and request them to turn off FMI so you can activate the device coz otherwise you can do anything unfortunately
No problem guys you can fix this. You need a pc with newest Itunes. Hold the round home button and then plug in your ipad. Hold it till you see itunes logo on the screen. Then Itunes will give you the option to factory reset the device.
I had the same problem and this is how you fix it.

@dmlinares is the device FMI OFF ? If it is then you can try flashing a firmware yourself either using iTunes or 3utools. Download the firmware from ipsw.me

@jotuco once your iPad is in DFU mode connect it to your computer . Open iTunes and select either "update " or "restore " . Note that if you select "restore " everything will get deleted from the iPad . If you tried and the process failed then try a different 30 pin cable or different usb port on your laptop
First flash the os to your iPad and then jailbreak it

@CommandrX check the following and try again ; 1. Make sure you have downloaded iTunes from Apple’s website. If you have iTunes downloaded from Microsoft store please delete it
2. Make sure you have the latest 3utools version
3. Before you start the jailbreak make sure you have disabled your antivirus and once the jailbreak is done enable it again
@@sdyt263 Did all that... no Jailbreak method will install on this iPad 2 v9.3.5 I personally gave up and tossed it as is useless to me as Apple won't allow any apps to install on it from their store. This is why I use Android, don't have to Root them to install apps outside of the Google Playstore.
@@CoMmAnDrX that’s a good thing that android as os has . You can run apps on old android phones without root like you very well mentioned. Personally I like to mess around with old devices and have some use of them . At the end of the day everyone uses the os that is better for them . Thanks for your comment mate ! All the best ! :)
