With most RUclips channels, I just close most episodes when I realize they are going to do a podcast, but with Cog Hill Farm, I enjoy your discussions. Other channels could learn a lot by watching your little sit downs. Podcasts should provide background information without constantly trying to communicate with the viewers. That is what you do that nobody else does. Thank you for your great style.

I put a layer of clay kitty litter mixed with a handful of baking soda in the bottom of a plastic tote, place a couple of sheets of newspaper on top of it, and pack the tote and place the lid on it. I’m from Alabama too and eating breakfast for supper has been a thing as far as I can remember. I’m a great grandmother and my grandmother was a superwoman. They had a farm and raised all their food only needing to go to the store a couple times a year. She would get up every morning and milk the cow, gather eggs, make homemade biscuits and cook bacon on a two burner pot bellied stove. Then she would wake everyone up to come eat. The sun would just be coming up. My grandfather raised sugar cane, cotton and every vegetable. They had no indoor plumbing until 1969 and heated their house with 2 fireplaces and the potbellied stove. I loved those days!

Put down a layer of gb on the bottom of 9x13" pan, add a layer of sliced onions, next add a layer of sliced potatoes, top with mushroom soup straight from the can, cover with foil till veggies are done, remove foil and brown. You can do a side of broccoli on a sheet pan in olive oil while the casserole is cooking. Bake 350 till done.

For your crockpot it's always easy just remember:
    Any Meat
    Potato
    Veg
    Seasoning
1 cup of liquid or canned soup, canned tomatoes, water, or broth.

If you eat most of your veggies and fruits raw, you'll get all the nutrients from them. Even protein. Make sure you include nuts and seeds and a little seaweed, then you won't have anything to worry about. :)

@@kayrabey1344 OK. I'll accept that. I like those cooked, too, but a lot of veggies and fruits do better raw. We'll have to research this to see which ones. Have to keep our fave family healthy. :)

When I worked in retail we used to use a product called Damp Rid, comes in many forms but we used the hanging bags, it holds the water it pulls out and has a built in air freshener and would be an inexpensive option for the pods. Best of luck with the move!

Suggestion for Jason's glasses: since you have a cord on them, hang a small tile mate/pebblebee finder/ key finder on the cord. Then you can use your phone to help find your glasses.

I eat Just Protein Bars for Breakfast. 180 too 200 calories. Walmart and Sam’s sell them. I like the triple chocolate. It gives me chocolate fix and holds me until lunch. I lost 20 lbs during COVID, and am keeping it off. The bars helped.

Another one we love is called Sausage Biscuits and grave bake, use 1 can if Biscuits cut into 4s a dozen eggs 1 cup of cheese and a sausage gravey mix. Put the Biscuits in a 9by13 pan scramble the eggs place on Biscuits pour the gravey over it, cook the sausage and pour in the top with cheese and bake for about 35 minutes on 350. We always make extra gravey to put on it when you eat.

First thing I do in the morning is look to see if you have a new podcast, FB etc. You both are a joy to listen to. Brooke, you are amazing. Doing all that tractor work! Jason, you are such a ray of sunshine to me. I'm 80 y/o and I used to live, in the summer, with a girlfriend on her parents farm. I collected eggs, fed over 100 chickens and 3 turkeys. To watch you and the family go about your chores is a true delight to me.
I want to know how you chose Mary Carl's name. I've never heard a name like that. What a sweet, sensitive, knowledgeable little girl she is. I love your family. Wishing/praying for all good things coming your way on the new farm. God bless you all.

In this day and age, you can pay a little bit to get all the info on people you want. You can get tickets, old addresses, bankruptcies, family member names, old phone numbers, etc etc. Just about anything anyone would want to know.
