It is said to be the biggest Buddhist monastery in the world outside of Lhasa, Tibet. It is a major holy site for Tibetan Buddhists as it was the birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama.
Nuranang Falls (also known as Jang Falls & Bong Bong Falls ), 100 m high waterfall, is located 2 km northeast of the Jang town on the motorable Jang Falls Road in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh state of India.
The Sela Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass located on the border between the Tawang and West Kameng districts in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It has an elevation of 4170 m and connects the Indian Buddhist town of Tawang to Dirang and Guwahati.
