@Rhy2412 Wait wait, nevermind, I understand. You were just asking about the Thunder Edge combo itself. "M-H-cr.H-QCF+L, M-H-QCF+L" the only thing you have to worry about is landing the Standing Medium after the first QCF+L, which isn't hard after some practice. It's not too strict of timing, no.

[Disk]- Rushdown; I think this is self explanatory. Just cover her low health well with assists. [Sword]- Range/Damage; Learn to confirm into a hit with the disk into weapon changing to the sword early in the combos to increase damage in your combos. Don't be afraid to experiment her in all 3 team positions as you never know where a Snapback and mixup will leave her. [Beads]- Space Control; Basically your way of telling the opponent to back off, punish weak rushdowns, but watch your attacks.
Ammy is challenging to use because of her 3 weapon changes,difficult combos(especially if low on health and damage) and the fact that she's more of a speed fighter.You have to be really fast and skilled to pull those moves and combos.
@ieatatsonic I use a normal basic 360 controller. I use the Analog stick for motions, and Weapon changing I use the D-pad. That's the only thing I use D-pad for.
@beraht No charging is ever needed for it to OTG. You just need to contact the opponent at the right time. Sometimes it's finicky, but usually you have to wait till they stop bouncing after the air.S. Something like that.
If you were asking what assists are good for Ammy, then I would say a beam assist or lockdown assist. Something that will keep the opponent on the ground to allow amaterasu to approach the opponent, and another assist to help her combos gives a little overall 'balance'. But it's up to you to find out what your team will be, and what works best together for your style of play.
For that combo you have to be very fast in the input. There is not very much hitstun so do it instantly after one Cold star shot. I forgot I used Cold Star in more than one combo, so in the combo I was talking about, it's more specific and otherwise will never link without the assist.
That is right, normally that is impossible. But the Nova Assist b forces a ground bounce, and timed just right, gave me enough time to connect the finishing Okami Shuffle.
Not only for playing keepaway, but for making space as well. Experiment with her weapons they all have value in some way, & thats why she as a character is insanely good. Her neutral game has tons of options.
Nice work! You show that the sun does rise in hell. Its a great starting point to have with all the examples you give. OTG timing looks specific to wear the glaive hits too. Im still having trouble with ammy's mission 7 :-(
@Vaxtin That loop is tricky to land. Many people look away from Amy because of her 3 weapon modes, somewhat difficult combos, low health, low damage, and her complex style of play. However, she is down right Lethal in the hands of a skilled player (like you). I'd say her best qualities are her versatility, mobility and speed wouldn't you agree?
@wingliger I thought you were speaking about a (Solar Flare) combo at first. For the (Glaive) sequence there, it has a little strict timing. air.H has to be very close to the ground to get an instant QCF+L with the Glaive, then you can connect the f+HHHH chain.

More tutorial like comb videos need to start like you did. Start off with something a little more basic and then lead to more assist based combos with more hits and more extension. I'll try out the first two combos you did and then move to the rest.
I think she's a really hard character honestly, mainly because she's a fast character and changing weapons can be tough at times. The default fire one I think is the easiest to pull of combos, but the ice chain and thunder sword is a bit challenging. If you are a beginner using her I would suggest you learn using the other 2 weapons first.
at 1:35 in the movie how did you get the sword to OTG without charging it much? I can never get the df H to cancel into the QCF S w/o charging it fully

You mean a-b-x-y? Not everyone uses a game pad, or plays on the 360. So saying 'medium, light, heavy, s(Launcher)' etc, is actually far easier to understand. It's 'universal' for everyone that way and isn't too difficult to learn. Or you could try looking for number-pad notations? Though personally, those always confuse me.
+baldorigami It has been years now. I think it means "to cancel" so you cancel your attack into something else, like Launcher into a Super. To do a super after a launcher, input the command but carry the motion into a jump just before the attack command inputs. It's called a superjump cancel. You'll stay on the ground after a launcher and execute the hyper.
It takes practice. You can get the hit if you immediately begin the Charge after launching the opponent. In other combos, like after Air QCF(236)-H, you have to wait a very slight amount of time to get the hit as close to the ground as you can to follow up properly into other attacks.

L-M-H-S are all the standard notation used in the community. If you had played the game for more than a week you would probably already be used to it lol

Yes, but it will most likely happen very low to the ground if you are doing it after a Solar Flare combo.
