The kangaroo was pretty happy when it was eating out of the bag too, judging by its raging boner.

Adelaide is definitely my favourite Australian city. It still feels like a country town. It is comfortably walkable and has the most amazing vibe.
Yet it's not a country town, a small city with all the facilities of a capital city.
Am from Sydney, moved to Adelaide, never going back, lifestyle is good.
Make sure you stop in Mt Gambier on your way to Victoria! We just did a lap of Australia and it was one of our favourite spots. Look up the sinkhole gardens and the blue lake. And don’t miss the Scroll Queens bakery 😊

@@iggyblitz8739 As an Adelaidean it does wake up in autumn, our best season. Not too hot, not too cold, but also not spring which alternates between cold, hot and stormy. Autumn is consistent, the best time to visit.
If leaving on 25th, make sure to get to Canberra to the War Memorial and museum. 25th April is ANZAC Day, a very special day for our fallen military personnel and their families. It starts with a dawn service.

I've seen so many videos of the standard backpacker route (Melbourne/ Sydney/ Gold Coast), that it's genuinely refreshing to see an outsiders perspective on the more quintesential parts of the country, the parts that Aussies put on their own bucket lists. I’m an Aussie teacher and I just taught my kids about the Emu War a few weeks ago, initially the kids didn’t believe me either … I’m really enjoying your videos . Such nice Americans .

Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed Cleland, it’s mine and my daughters favourite wildlife park. I’m born and bred in Adelaide SA and love my state. We are definitely underrated but I like that we’re a bit of a hidden gem. Enjoy your time in Australia 🇦🇺

Check out Kangaroo Island, off the coast of South Australia, if you’re interested in diverse landscapes, as despite its name, it’s not just about the wildlife, though that’s pretty impressive.
There’s stunning beaches - with Stokes Bay named best in the world for 2023 - unusual rock formations - such as Remarkable Rocks - craggy cliffs and wonderful walks - including Admiral’s Arch - great wineries, talented artists and artisans, delicious locally made honey along, with all manner of food treats and much, much more!

Glad to see you both enjoyed the National Park!! But Adelaide is known as the City of Churches. And also a little fun fact: Echinas and Platypus are the only two mammals in the world that lay eggs.
Echidnas sometimes known as spiny anteaters are monotremes (egg-laying mammals) belonging to the family Tachyglossidae.
It really should be changed to the City of Festivals, it's not exactly a super religious place in general now so why not.
I really love how, when you have a longer time in a country, you really get into the spirit of the places you visit. I think the best example was when you were in Thailand but Australia is a close second. I will be following you until to have completed this world odyssey, which maybe/ hopefully will never end. I am really pleased that you got to visit Cleland, we always take OS visitors there - it's a wonderful up close and personal opportunity to see native animals - and so close to the city. Try Hahndorf, great sauerkraut etc and Barossa Valley for lots of wineries and Clare Valley etc, lots of wineries in SA and great wine too.
Later look at Naracoorte where they have caves that stored extinct bones of a massive wombat looking creature about 2m tall, they have an actual replica statue plus other replica extinct Roos etc at the museum, the extinct lion one is the meanest animal ever. Mount Gambier for the extinct crater. All the best
This series of videos has been a great watch. Never gets old watching peoples reactions when they meet the local wild life. There is a park just east of Melbourne called Cardinia Reservoir Park where you can picnic with eastern grey kangaroos and bin chickens. Think seagulls are annoying, wait till one of these lands on the picnic table. Nice area to visit as well as it is adjacent to the Dandenong ranges. Which is also worth a look at especially William Ricketts Sanctuary.

If you wanted to splurge and have one really nice meal before the end of this part of your trip, head to the Barossa Valley Wineries in South Australia. They have such fresh, beautiful food. The Perth wineries in the Swan Valley and the wineries in the South West, such as Margaret River, also have exisite food, organic, fresh and so much flavour. Australia is known for really good food, we are foodies down here. I feel like you're missing out if you don't try it once.
Tia's a very talented artist, clearly! Great to see an outsider's view of hometown Adelaide. If you have time I'd recommend diverting through the Grampians en-route to Melbs. Also the bottle-o at the Royal Oak Hotel in Penola has a spectacular collection of the local Coonawarra wines, many of them much older than you find regularly on the shelves.
Thanks for the visit to the animal park, grateful you guys are both well and happy, was concerned when no video popped up after 3 days, even tho I don't know you, now I have a vested interest in your journey. Ask the subscribers to look after your car while your away, I am sure someone will provide the solution. There is so much to see & do,if wine is your thing then McLaren Vale,the Barossa Valley & Adelaide Hills are compulsory.
An hour South of Adelaide is Victor Harbour but you could fill in a day just getting down there.

when you are down in melbourne, you must go to philip island and see the penguin parade, every night they come in from the sea and head to their burrows, you can sometimes get very close to them later in the car park, great experience getting to see wild penguins
