I’ve never been much of a fan of Cliff beyond Move It and his time with The Shadows, but fair play to him - this is one of the greatest vocal performances of his career. I much prefer the passion of the original, but this is a lovely rendering too. I had the privilege of seeing him in an intimate setting at The Gramercy in NYC. He put on a free show for the Morrissey cancelation, and credit where it’s due, he was brilliant and a lovely man too.
I met a girl called Marianne about four years and fell madly in love. Sadly she was too young for me and did not recipricate. Stll think of her every day Never had those feelings before or since.
