Ridge Racer V - Duel Mode (Hard) playthrough

I find RRV's Duel/Rival races way easier compared to other Ridge Racer titles, as the AI isn't nearly as aggressive.
Before you can challenge Duel cars in Duel mode, you need to beat their following total time records in Time Attack mode.
Devil (Crinale):
Sunny Beach (Standard): 3´15" 765
Green Field (Extra): 4´05" 765
Angel (Angelus):
Green Field (Standard): 4´36" 765
Sunny Beach (Extra): 2´55" 765
Spirit (Remeur):
Park Town (Standard): 2´41" 765
Bayside Line (Extra): 5´36" 765
Pluto (Spectra):
Outer Pass (Standard): 3´34" 765
Above The City (Extra) 3´33" 765
I also did the Battle Royale challenge as well, which is pretty much five Duel car race, and frankly I find it harder compared to other duels, mostly because Angelus is really hard to control (It is really easy to either under-steer or over-steer if don't know when to let go off the gas pedal or when not)
This is the PAL version (using the original copy I have), and was recorded via PCSX2 1.5 (nightly build btw). I apologize for
the muddy picture quality, but I had to use Software render because Hardware render produces some nasty graphical glitches. And even on Software it is not 100% perfect i.e. cars' shadow look white.

The Cars are so freaking amazing
I consider the RR5 Angelus to be the best version, even better than the nitrous/jet powered versions from later ridge racer games. No version past or future has had its insane top speed nor required the same amount of skill to maintain those speeds. Not to mention that exaust note from the kamata ka-clmx craymel W18!
To me personally i think Ridge Racer 6 Angelus is the best to me with it's V10 engine 😇
It looks like a mix of Ferrari Enzo and Vector W18.
This one in RRV is a close 2nd due to it's design which is a mix of Ferrari F50 & Mclaren F1, while it's engine sounds like alien spaceship but it is still acceptable 🙂
Does the AI just not drive the Angelus to its full and terrifying potential, or is the car just worse than I remember?
the AI definitely nerfs itself hard when controlling the angelus otherwise it would be impossible to beat it in a duel
........when will the undercar shadows as well as the car textures be correctly emulated ?
So far I checked the latest nightly build of PCSX2, and seems like it is still not emulated correctly. Oh well, at least I have capture card so I don't worry about stuff like this later on.
