Good video, but you went through way too much work. I have a studio xps 1640, and had to replace the CD-ROM and keyboard. Once I took out the screws holding the keyboard in place, the CD-ROM was uncovered. One screw holding it in. Then it just slid out. New one slid in. No wires to take out, nothing. Thanks for the video, but you can make a much shorter one if you take out the 14 screws holding in the keyboard.
Great instructions. Waiting on replacement part now. With these easy to follow instructions, it should be a breeze to replace this part. Thanks!!!
Great Tutorial! But what drive would you recommend to replace the one in the XPS?
Yeah very useful! keep doing what you are doing! :)
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
