Had he missed a part of the season, you might have some sort of argument. The dude hasn't been playing professional basketball for a year, and won't in another month. If he returns in December for next season, it will have been 541 days since he last played. He cannot be in the conversation at all right now.

Max is far and away the best analyst on this show, he actually provides well-rounded arguments for almost all his takes (excluding his "the cliff" excuses). They say Kawhi isnt the best player right now because he got traded to a good team, but when did that every stop them from saying KD is the greatest (in spite of him join one of the greatest teams of all time) or Lebron who joined a championship caliber team with two future Hall of Famers.
