@LironSegev well here's the story, we bought our computer and monitor the same time. We'll after all these years monitor went out last year the first of the year so. I bought new one in replacement for the old. Then last year in July our computer had it's fair shared of problems. It was windows 10. Until the computer said t9 my wife of to do down load of our pictures and things on it. So wife did. Not sure for some reason. It went back to the factor setting. We trying to fix the problem. And my wife new more then I. With this computer. So it was back at factor setting. She tried to get it up and running. We was looking for a disk or went to Walmart of buying on. But no luck and they said get free updates of line. And it will not hook back on line. Just getting free software. And we still had plenty of memory left on it. Lot of memory. I think the computer and monitor was just as old was the printer. So bought new printer and we bought new tablet so tomorrow. Going to hook up printer and tablet so wireless here we come. From what it says we can hook with our phone and other devices. Technology you got to love them right. I get an headache just thinking about it.
My dilemma is I can't buy a new pc or laptop, and my current ones say they don't qualify for the upgrade. Can you do a video for this (how to upgrade if it's possible) or perhaps suggest a solution? Thank you.
There is no privacy on Windows 11. No matter what people say. I purchased a new commputer (Ausus) in 2024 then uploaded Lenox for free. Linox Mint. Best awesome experience ever! I can do everything with speed and upgrades but I do not have to deal with windows Co-pilot AI etc. the most devasting privacy destroyer in the history of Windows. Just saying. I love my freedom on lenox and super easy usage from windows to lenox.
@@LironSegevif you’re not online with it and don’t have a modem attached are you safe then? I’m aware that few if any people have set ups like that but I could see someone using their computer for things that don’t call for wifi nor modems. Just wondering.
5 to 10 times faster.....but for how long. everyone knows that a 5yr old pc gets slower over time due to bloat among other things. a full os reset works wonders.
If an app is written for non threading it wont be any faster, and many apps are not made to be faster only more bloated. And not that often new features arent used either. as an example CLO 3D with a 30by30mm cloth lying on the floor/ground doing nothing will eat up over 90% of cpu in simulation mode. Not exactly effective programming and how many other apps are doing the same thing?
been thinking about it - we still have time before end of life for Windows 10 and I think there will be changes coming, so I am waiting to see the developments.
CES is just there to help Microsoft justify telling everyone to buy new hardware. PC and battery manufacturers love the excuse. It's great for them not for the consumer. How much extra speed do you need, in word you can only type as fast as you can, no software/hardware is going to improve that. So you save 10 seconds on a spreadsheet, so what. They only place really benefited is processing graphics or video production. The first guy said you can speed up internet browsing. B_u_L Just another marketing ploy.
Sorry but if that is what you think AI does, you are have missed the entire plot. Its absolutely not about a faster spreadsheet or faster browsing. If you don't understand that AI is the same change in our world as when people changed from horses to cars, then I suggest some more research.
Watching this video on a 12 year old Lenovo Thinkpad Core i7 W530 running Windows 10 that I bought refurbished for about $200 five years ago. New 500 mb solid state HD, enough RAM to suit my needs. It works fine for what I use it for. I have a Dell Core i7 desktop with Windows 11 if I need something more up to date. How does the woke, green, tech industry justify all of us having to dispose of perfectly good working computers just to satisfy their need for us to "upgrade" every few years? Linux, here I come?
Yes, You can drive a 10 year old car that still gets you from A to B. Its just not going to be the same experience and not have the same features as driving a new car. But what do you do when they stop making car parts for that 10 year old car? At a point you are going to have to make a switch when things stop working. Same with the PC and phone industry. You can run Windows 95 today or a BlackBerry phone, but your can't expect a smooth experience. I have loads of videos about switching to Linux...if you just browse the web and emails, its great. If you do anything more or have specific apps you need to use or work with other people who are on Office, then Linux is a challenge. Companies are simply not prioritizing developing software for an operating system that makes up 6% of the global operating system globally. But each to their own - good luck!
upgrade computer and downgrade windows to version 10... windows 11 is as bug ridden as fisther... the dude saying everything is faster is a liar, everything is slower due to 11...
I selected components and built new PCs for myself, wife and grand-daughter last year. Switched over to Windows 11 removing "features" I didn't want and no issues so far. Everyone is happy. My grand-daughter would love to generate AI movies, so perhaps I'll have to rebuild her PC in the near future.
love it - AI, as much as people protest, is the future. Much like cars replaced horses, computers replaced typewriters, and no one today puts "Can use Microsoft Office" on their resume. The future is those who can use AI as a tool to do their work better vs those who can't and are still muttering to themselves about how it was simpler back in the yeah-ol-days
No more keeping your system safe hurray! Every hacker can't wait for October and then watch everyone blaming Microsoft for weak security. Because of course it is always someone else's fault. 😆
Liron, thank you for taking us on a tour of CES’s latest AI technology. As a tech enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoy your content and implement your suggestions into my digital life. May G-d bless you with continued success, and may your videos gain millions of views, like Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast.
I have 2 Imac's pretty old and I sure would enjoy doing something about the speed - but when comes to apple - I like the all in one PC's. I also have a HP all in one and it bit the dirt that last solar clipse :(
Why you should upgrade your computer, nonsense. Pandering to the likes of Microsoft and the computer hardware giants is BS. I have Windows 10, happy with it and certainly do not want to infuse privacy stalker 11. Windows 11 is bad, and it forces those of us who cannot afford a new computer to either go into debt or roll the dice. I'm spoiled with my Windows 365 package and use it a lot. If I had an alternative to the Windows backbone like 10 or whatever, and could still use Windows 365, I would strongly consider it given the spyware found on 11 and yes on 10, but 11 is far worse. Any recommendations are welcomed.
eh...Windows 10 has its issue of privacy too. And Windows 11 has been a stuff up since it launched and the second it got better, there was that whole Recall issue. However, saying all of that, if you want to still run Windows you can. BUT after end of life of Windows 10 not only wont you get any updates, but also Microsoft 365 apps will also come to end of life at the same time. You can use Linux and use Office Live in the cloud like you can with Google Docs.
@@LironSegev Thanks, I know I'm screwed along with millions of others. All my computers today work great but none of them can accept Windows 11, that's thousands of dollars I and others don't have. There has got to be a better way,, maybe and AI wizard can come up with a solution.
My windows 10 pc tower will be 5 yrs old this November. During the 2025 Black Friday deals to consider a new PC with Win 11 or just do a Microsoft Windows upgrade. My current PC is quite fast as far as I believe. I also have a Seagate and a Western digital hard drive for back ups. So something else to consider replacing (before they die).
Great time to switch to Mac. I’m loving the new M4 Mac Mini base configuration ($499 from Costco). Just added a 4TB thunderbolt drive and I’m good for at least 5 years, hopefully more! 😅
good question. You do know that AI is in your phone, apps, cars, social media, and anything you do online at the moment right? If you don't want AI in your life, you can give up all of this.
I really appreciate what you do and the content you provide. However this is a subject that we'll have to agree to disagree. I refuse to be forced to "upgrade" a computer that doesn't need upgrading. When Win10 is done, I'll have one remaining computer to switch to Linux. Looking forward to your next video !!!
thank you for being civil - take note everyone: this is how adults behave!!! I look at it like a car. You can drive a 10 year old car, but at a certain point, they are going to stop making parts for that car. Now you can keep driving it, but when it breaks down, you are going to struggle finding parts. Same with Windows. It came out in 2015. It is now 10 years later. People's demands have exponentially increased. The want faster computers with better graphics and so it gets to a point where the old hardware simply can't handle it. People can't have both ways: don't want to change, but also insist on better experience. Linux is great on servers and for cybersecurity. when it comes to desktop, depends on what you do, it is very frustrating. I have loads of videos explaining why. My advice to you, if I may, is try Linux in a virtual environment first. If it does everything you need, then go for it. Once again, appreciate you and see you in the next one!
I disagree; it's not yet time to upgrade. At the current time, performance is down on the last couple of generations except for battery life, and currently nothing in mainstream software is using the Intel on board NPU. This will change of course, but until it does an upgrade will be a step back for many.
Maybe I won't have to revert to Win 7 after all. Fed up with 10, failing my old perfectly functional software. MS haven't offered to replace my expensive software for free, and I have no intention of paying out every time MS wants to upgrade.
Microsoft's Win10 EOL forced me to buy a Win11 PC. Microsoft's pushing Win11 24H2 onto my new PC bricked it. I'll have to update the BIOS, EC, and perhaps reinstall Win11 to get back up and running. Thank you, Microsoft! (This comment written using my trusty Win10 PC.) As for Intel, I wish them well. They're anchored to X86, their design/fab model, and by extension Microsoft, while the rest of the industry is moving on.
no one is going to argue that MS hasnt messed up with Win11. And dont get me started on recall... but I will say that Win11 isn't what is used to be when they first launched and I have been running is on my laptop for a while now with no issues. The time saving I get with my Intel pc for the heavy processing I do with video creations is just a game changer. And being able to do so without an internet connection just unlocks so much opportunity where you can use AI, without your info being used as training material.
For A.I. just have 16gb of ram for a PC and 8gb ram for a Chromebooks and phones. That's enough for my A.I. needs. For me speed isn't as big a factor as accuracy with A.I. i use. My bank has an A.I. helper on the app that has no info or inaccurate info half the time. Most the A.I. i use is powered by cloud servers not locally. These powerful PCs are good at video rendoring and running niche high end programs with coding. But the vast amount of people just 16gb ram PC and 8gb ram Chromebook or phone is all they use.
I embrace innovation. I embrace change. So in 2024 I have upgraded my computer to a M4 Mac Mini. Because AI or not, 5 or 10 times faster, I trust Microsoft with nothing.
Thanks for the video... lots to think about. Love some of the comments below. Must have been much the same thing a bit more than a century ago when horse lovers shunned horseless carriages. Why should I buy gas when Old Yeller likes hay from the back forty acres?

My dilemma is I can't buy a new pc or laptop, and my current ones say
they don't qualify for the upgrade.
Can you do a video for this (how to upgrade if it's possible) or perhaps suggest a solution?
Thank you.
That's a good idea!
@ Thank you!!
I love my freedom on lenox and super easy usage from windows to lenox.
cool - enjoy
my amd 586 still working fine running windows 95. so no need to upgrade
windows 95 - awesome. Just what hackers want to see - a computer that has no security patches.
nice
Hope it's in a VM!
@@LironSegevif you’re not online with it and don’t have a modem attached are you safe then? I’m aware that few if any people have set ups like that but I could see someone using their computer for things that don’t call for wifi nor modems.
Just wondering.
Thank you for the video, Liron.
thanks for watching!
my computer does everything I need it to do right now. if my computer still works on oct I will start using linux. I am on a fixed income.
it will still work even after end of life of Windows - you just won't get the updates.
My 2007 iMac still works. So no need to upgrade
if it works for you, then you do you 👍
AI is the level that takes away from Individual Protection & Choices. Originality is always Best & Safest.
Just upgraded my laptop to Linux Mint got rid of its Windows 11 !!
congrats
5 to 10 times faster.....but for how long. everyone knows that a 5yr old pc gets slower over time due to bloat among other things. a full os reset works wonders.
@@stephens2984 Try using pegasus. Independent software that works for me, got rid of the blot and sped up my computer a lot.
a computer getting slower over time is a skill issue
If an app is written for non threading it wont be any faster, and many apps are not made to be faster only more bloated. And not that often new features arent used either. as an example CLO 3D with a 30by30mm cloth lying on the floor/ground doing nothing will eat up over 90% of cpu in simulation mode. Not exactly effective programming and how many other apps are doing the same thing?
Hi Liron, can you do a latest updated video on how to upgrade windows 10 systems to windows 11 on unsupported hardware
been thinking about it - we still have time before end of life for Windows 10 and I think there will be changes coming, so I am waiting to see the developments.
@@LironSegev Thanks
intel 13th 14thgen cpu's hmmm reliable and issues with the latest gen as well
I still have no idea what was said. Or what to look for.
You won't regret moving to Linux. It just works.
upgrade computer and downgrade windows to version 10... windows 11 is as bug ridden as fisther... the dude saying everything is faster is a liar, everything is slower due to 11...
Mr. Liron Segev, Thank you very much!
Thank YOU for being here 🔥
No more win 10 updates - hurray! No more pestering me to install them!

That’s incredibly heartwarming and touching.
I have 2 Imac's pretty old and I sure would enjoy doing something about the speed - but when comes to apple - I like the all in one PC's. I also have a HP all in one and it bit the dirt that last solar clipse :(
Meh, I don't upgrade anymore. This is my last PC. Don't need one anymore. They have become obsolete for me. And Windows SUCKS anyway....🙄🙄

The Jetsons made it all look like fun. Some of this tech looks a bit scary to me.
What is real anymore?
Cool glasses 😊
Haha 10x faster, who+s measure ? My money pocket !!!
Im going to wait for Linux local AI. Great info sir. Helps me now that I have been seriously thinking of going Linux.
@@LironSegev Thanks

What about people who are not interested in having AI?
good question. You do know that AI is in your phone, apps, cars, social media, and anything you do online at the moment right?
If you don't want AI in your life, you can give up all of this.
I am using Linux past 3-4 years. it's fast and secure .
Windows….. 😷
Upgrade?? Windows XP is working perfectly well for me.
I miss "real" people being employed.
yeah all these people are just AI avatars 🤣
NO THX. I'll keep my GIGABYTE as is 😁👊 Plus, if those new batteries are anything like those exploding. FUGGETABOUTIT

Maybe I won't have to revert to Win 7 after all.
Fed up with 10, failing my old perfectly functional software.
MS haven't offered to replace my expensive software for free,
and I have no intention of paying out every time MS wants to upgrade.
k
There's every reason not to so called upgrade
Sounds great Lion, please send me $1500 us so I can upgrade to a new computer. Thanks in advance
darn - my wallet is in my other pants😜
But the vast amount of people just 16gb ram PC and 8gb ram Chromebook or phone is all they use.
yer ill go to 11 if you buy me the two machines to replace the ones ill have too just throw away (which i dont want to do) :)
Very cool but its a no from me. Lol
Forced upgrade for security reasons 😂😂😂
I embrace innovation. I embrace change. So in 2024 I have upgraded my computer to a M4 Mac Mini.
Because AI or not, 5 or 10 times faster, I trust Microsoft with nothing.
Thanks for the video... lots to think about. Love some of the comments below. Must have been much the same thing a bit more than a century ago when horse lovers shunned horseless carriages. Why should I buy gas when Old Yeller likes hay from the back forty acres?

Whats the cost of these new systems? ive seen the prices of the new 50 line of GPU's and they cost as much as a used car. AI isnt really AI anyway, its like when the Iphone came our, you had everything from Imops to IWater jugs, its a fad, in another year AI will evolve and I just hope its for the good, just in case, im always polite with my Google assistant/home I say please and thank you, they might remember I was cool to them when the machines take over the world loll.
no idea what you are looking at but there are plenty of Intel Core Ultra based PC/ Laptop at normal prices.
Good call about being polite - if you have been following anything about the AI evolution, its in everything and certainly isn't a fad like NFT lol
And people forget that AI has been around for years - way before ChatGPT made it cool. So be polite is smart move :)
@@LironSegev For the prices I just ment, a lot of performance specs are coming out of CES but a lot less on the prices, but the price I was looking at was $2000USD for the new 5090Ti, thats more than what I paid to build my system 4 years ago (Ryzen 7 2700x/MSi X470 Gaming/Msi Radeon 5500XT gaming) but I get it, its the new top dog on the market so top price lol.
oh yeah - never look at CES pricing - they can get insane. Typically I do "window shopping" and then keep my eye on stuff as it comes down in price as the year goes on.
