    This guide is amazing. I love content creators who explain WHY behind the WHAT, this is so helpful and gives players a general understanding of how their build works, and thus how to adjust it if needed instead of just blindly following a setup.

    I always appreciate your build videos, you do a great job explaining the how's and why's of the builds, in addition to giving practical advice. Most of us aren't endgame players making world record parses, we just want to play reasonably well and have fun and you really provide that, thanks again!

    HI Deltia, congrats for letting me subscribe to your channel. Even I'm around 700 CP I'm still noob with weaving, what gear, what skills and what todo. What I really like is what you said about the traits....new players (and me) want to make it divines asap. You are saying the 5 pieces is more important and dont get frustrated because it isnt't yet. New things for me like the wall of elements as last skill and swap. Maybe all normal for lot of players, love the video and Im sure I have to look it back so now and then to work on your suggested gear and all stuff. The main thing for me is: After seeing this video I feel more confident with the gear Im using and no pressure to get the "top gear" asap.

    Deltia, you are an absolute legend. I'm a returning player and I've always been a casual. Your guide was clear, to the point, and in depth. I'm getting vanilla WoW tingles again in working to get better at this class and building my guy up. The in-depth breakdown of the range of sweeps and the auto-weaving queues in the animation has already skyrocketed my damage, and I never could find anyone that would explain it!.
    Thanks again my man. You've made this year all the brighter for me.

    First of all, I enjoyed this guide a lot! And I learned a few things that I either didn't know or it never occurred to me to consider before. Thanks. Your guides are simply the best. I love that you don't cut verbal-corners and take for granted that the viewer automatically knows all the same "ESO-lingo" that experienced players use. I remember back when I first started ESO, some guides would leave me with more questions than answers, because I only knew the verbiage that one could gain by looking at the game's UI and menus. But with your guides, no one needs to worry about that. Safest _"thumbs-up before the video even loads"_ I know of, as far as ESO content goes.
    There was one thing though, this time, that confused me. I think maybe there's a misunderstanding somewhere.. I'm just not sure what you meant by "there is no block canceling per-say in the game anymore". Because I do this _all the time._ There were two things that sort of unofficially changed, semi-recently, with regard to animation canceling. Those being: _when_ the game will accept each type of input and for _how long_ that input needs to persist, in order to cancel the previous ability's animations. It's just not "uniform" anymore. And it varies a bit, depending on the ability who's animation you're trying to cancel. For the most part though, the-below is accurate..
    For example (on Templar): Lets say you want to drop Extended Ritual on the ground, and then cancel as much of its animation as you can. No problem! Extended Ritual's animation can be canceled ~0.4 sec after initiation via Block or after only ~0.2 sec via a Bash. So Bash is always better, right? Not necessarily.. While Bash does damage enemies, interrupt some of their abilities and can cancel animations earlier, it costs you a lot more Stam than Block does (if it connects with the enemy); especially over the course of a long fight. So, sometimes Block, albeit slower overall, is the more economic option. Plus you might _actually block an incoming attack._
    Another difference between Block and Bash, when used to cancel animations, is how long you have to hold each bind in order to achieve this. Bash, is just a quick tap of a key(^). But with Block, you have to hold the bind down for ~0.2-3 sec. That might not sound like a long time. But keep in mind that a normal "key-tap" sends only a ~0.05 sec input. So, it's not a long-press, but it's noticeable.
    ^: I highly recommend getting your combat abilities OFF your mouse buttons. Yes, that's how Elder Scrolls games traditionally play.. But that is slow and clunky and works very poorly in an MMO. As opposed to Keybinds.
    ^^: On your mouse, you might find gameplay more enjoyable with "Move Forward" bound to Left Click and "Interact With Environment" bound to Right Click. Binding things like Sprint, Mount-Up and Dodge to the Thumb Buttons on your mouse, rounds things out nicely. This is more typical of how most MMOs play. So, especially if you're new to ESO, and you're having a hard time adjusting to how it plays, this will likely help you a lot!
    ^^^: This also frees up your W key to bind combat abilities to. I go further and bind "Strafe Left" to A, "Strafe Right" to S, "Move Backward" to both Z and X, Block to D and Bash to Shift+D. You need the "Emacs" addon (or similar) to unlock the option of using modifier keys like Shift, Ctrl and Alt. Just suggestions though.. You do you! :)
    When canceling animations you can dive even deeper, when you consider that your Bash does not interrupt your own sustained blocking; it goes _through_ it. So, imagine you want to drop Extended Ritual and get the absolute most out of canceling its animation (especially if you have Power Slam on your bar, or have some other effect that automatically activates upon blocking an attack). Try out:
    Light Attack -> Extended Ritual -> Hold Block -> Bash -> Release Block (this happens in ~0.6 sec)
    Even with Block only held for ~0.4 sec, it stands a pretty good chance of blocking _something,_ even if it's only a single DOT tick. If you're trying to proc something like Power Slam's bonus damage, that's all it takes!..
    Of course, you can't animation-cancel a channeled ability, without canceling the channeling.. But this method works well on pretty much everything else...except gap-closers. Some times it works for gap-closers. Most of the time it either does nothing, or screws up the effect of your gap-closer. One last word on canceling animation with Block though; even the faintest tap of your Block key will cancel your Draw Weapon animation, getting you into your first attack, that much faster.
    I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. It can be hard to think in terms of tenths or hundredths of seconds, but don't underestimate how quick your fingers can keep-time on the keyboard. Once you're into "muscle-memory" territory, you're absolutely operating on that level, whether you know it or not. Meaning, you'll do this without even thinking about it. :)

      @John Doe it’s definitely not dead, it’s just hard to find active guilds. You can match for everything but trials quickly, slower if you are DPS of course.

    • @darklordhayden

      I’ll level with you. While yes magplars are sweet if they are built correctly but in eso you need to focus more on learning the class and the gear sets and what to pair together that will more suit your play style. Just because you copy someone else’s build does not mean that you will be able to play it the way they can. Btw building solo PvE builds is very easy. It’s just a matter of what I said in understanding your class and understanding gear sets and finding what comforts your play style. If your on Xbox I can help you.

    Awesome! Been running the same build since they made deadly hybrid. Having deadly constantly boost overwhelming is nice for damage and sustain. You can actually sustain solo on 4 medium 3 light but ghastly eye ball will be a must so a lot more of a glass tank. Love how we can mix and match armor weights now. I was wondering which was better for sustain: the 8% cost reduction vs 1 enemy getting the overwhelming proc. Thanks and awesome content!

    Excellent guide, Deltia! Thank you for all the content you provide the community. I'm curious about your use of Wrathful Strikes or Fighting Finesse over Biting Aura in the Blue CP set. On a Templar, Biting Aura is the one slottable that directly impacts the damage of jabs. Could you expand a bit on your choice to forego Biting Aura in favor of Wrathful?

    • @Deltiasgaming
      @Deltiasgaming  2 года назад +1

      Sure, I tested them both, and I got more consistent damage from everything with wrathful, like burning light proc, unstable wall, purifying light, degen and or trap beast. The list goes on and on. TLDR if you just do sweeps, use Biting Aura but it just buffs everything and I feel its better all around.

I tested the ults against one another (ten times on each to get a better idea rather than once) and shooting star was more effective than elemental storm when you looked at damage per point. Mind you this was on a dummy so I wasn't getting the big advantage of being able to use it more often when it adds ult for each target hit. Just a thought.

      Vampire doesn't really have any impact unless you're in stage three. You'll gain undeath (more tanky) but run our of resources much quicker.

    I absolutely love how you go into detail on the skills, and the how and why they are there. I have a question though. Would you still suggest False gods when running in group content with mostly or fully coordinated groups? Or would subbing out a different set allow you to elevate your DPS? I'm just starting into coordinated group play so I'm open to all suggestions as a casual player. Thank you

      Yea the Radiant Destruction Morphs didn't make any sense to me. The one morph goes from 480% damage to 500%. When you flat out have that much damage and only tack on another 20% that point is completely wasted. It's almost better to just get the 480% and then have that skill point for something entirely different, IF Radiant Glory wasn't so good. Just doesn't seem like adding a measly 20% damage to what is already 20× more percentage as it's flat damage (literally I think, quick maffs)

    Hey Deltia, thanks for an awesome video! Quick question, if I were to use 2H on the frontbar with this build (I prefer the aesthetics) what would you recommend to pick? Greatsword, Maul or Battle Axe? And with which trait and enchant? Precise/Fire maybe?

    • @tlz180
      @tlz180 2 года назад +1

      Greatsword is better for maximising damage, as generally you dont need the penetration from a maul, and the crit damage cap effectively neutralises the usefulness of the passive effect of a battle axe. To make up for the loss of crit chance from not using daggers, use the precise trait

    Think about running Medusa from arx corrinium ‘sp’, it’s a heavy set but I like to wear heavy reinforced chest piece on almost all builds if I can and the rest do weapon/jewelry, it’s basically mothers sorrow but adds minor force 10% crit damage, combined with slimecraw monster set is pretty dope! At least wear 1 piece of slime if running mythic "I love death dealers fete btw", mealstrom etc, if running maelstrom you could go Medusa chest n legs 5/2 and all jewelry, or med slime head or shoulders for 5/1/1 so you can maximize undaunted stat pools plus some medium passives help.. 100 ways you can go!

    I prefer to use channeled acceleration becouse there s a passive in fitness three that gives you damage reduction while blocking and under the effect of a damage shield

    I watched your video and am leveling a Templar to try out the build. While reading the write up you did for it, I see this statement under Back Bar (Inferno Staff). "In update 33, you'll be able to use almost any back bar weapon including Two handed with stamped!" Could you please explain what that means. Thanks.

    • @Deltiasgaming
      @Deltiasgaming  2 года назад

      In parsing situations, people use stampede back bar with 2h maelstrom because it does more damage. In real content it didn't work that well.

    I was putting together this build per this video and somehow I have 4 pieces of deadly strikes 4 pieces of mother's sorrow and 4 pieces of frostbite! My son was telling me that I need 1 more staff of mother's sorrow so I will do that, but what a build. I have 46.7 crit without augmentation. Any tips for me? Thank you for your content it is awesome!
