He was a good cop in the end, he knew the older brothers were scum. It's too bad he didn't take Mike to social services in the end. It's clear he has an intellectual disability.
This film is as black as a night without stars. The performances are fantastic all around. This is very well made, too. Did the cop hurt his daughter before the brother found her? This would explain her expression upon waking in the back of his car: she did not escape. And the cop told the weakest brother that she was left for dead to convince him to kill his brothers and plant the idea of her death in order to cover up what he is going to do next namely, kill her himself. Ice cold and thoroughly believable. Brutal. Thank you.
Yes, minus the daughters "reaction" part... We could use our imaginations to fill in the dots of her completely unaddressed source of sufferage! Her role in this storyline is the least measurable, and it's appropriate that her character is literally voiceless... she's insignificant.

This has conceivable elements that make it feel as if it could be based on a true story! Excellent all around! I almost didn't finish it... it was the first time in a long time I felt repeatedly uncomfortable watching a fictional story. This short deserves an A+ in all categories! This one speaks volumes.
The cop/dad was the worst. He nearly assaulted his daughter to death then lied to the one brother and then left him for dead after he killed his brothers. The girl's face in the end was horrified because she didn't end up getting away from her monster dad.
Hell Yes! That's BC they are 'indie' film actors and they're not used to the big money, fame, and so they put their acting skills ahead of being big and bad and popular.
im so hooked by this i wish they made it into a TV show i need to know what happened after but i guess it's better to end this way...anyway i didn't realise he's Joe Dempsie..i remember him from skins thats why i felt like he looked familiar and don't get me started on Nico's acting...such phenomenal performance..very on point. everyone who work on this did a great job
I came across Omeleto short movies by accident. I believe they only show award winning movies. I have been binge watching Omeleto now for almost a week & there are still plenty to watch. All of them except for a few are in my opinion at least 8/10.

This takes short movies to the next level...I want to see more!! Felt like a massively tense intro to something bigger. I can imagine too many endings for that poor girl and boy...😪 Just amazing all round 👌👏👏👏
The yound k8d Nico 8s such a 5alented actor. Ive sen quite alot of his Work including his work on soaps like Hollyoaks and Doctors. To his him being in movies like Spike Island abou5 the Famous Stone Roses gig back at beginning of the 90's.
At 13:00 - this is my kind of film. Fantastic direction. Excellent acting. 21:35 - heading to bed. This is most excellent! Will finish at earliest convenience.

I don't know who is more corrupt though, the boys or the cop? He beat his daughter nearly to death, but they're going around selling coke cut with flour and stuff. Why would they not immediately get the girl to the hospital though? I mean, the one brother obviously has some mental problems, but theres no excuse for the other two. Idk which was worse. I think the 2 brothers had it coming, though. The one that shot them didn't do anything wrong really because he didn't really know any better and was very naive and impressionable. Just a shame the cop got off scott free.
Because they'd already "lied" to the policeman. Who would believe them that they were telling the truth at that point? Plus, the cop had already lost their respect.

Not really related to the film above but... does anyone know the time range of a short film? Most I have seen are 10-20 min, but this one here is just over 30 and I have seen a few that are only 7-8 minutes.
it's typically any cinematic or animation that does not abide to normal movie standards. Usually less watch time than a single episode of a series but can reach past forty five minutes in length where is is debatable whether it's really a short or just an indie movie.
