I realize this video was posted a while ago but I am wondering how you dug out the channels?

Yes the contractor used a skid-steer with a custom implement that had a piece of w-flange steel that was extendable with a scoop on the end to dig out beam channels underneath the house.

That's so great! So, did Don do the excavating for you too? The Poplar Cottage looks to be about the size of my barn...which needs a LOT of tlc...good to know he's still going at it!!
