Persona 3 FES's intro always pissed me off, even AFTER I beat the game, because it was always just a huge spoiler for most of the things you should've encountered yourself. I was smart enough to always skip it unless I opened the game and went to grab a snack or something, but after seeing it now and thinking about all the new players just like I once was, I can't help but think about people who watched the full thing and lost some (or more) of the emotional impact that certain scenes brought later in the game, just because they already saw clippets of it in the LITERAL game opening. I love, and will always love Persona 3's original intro (Burn My Dread) for how vague it was while hinting to future events, and you'd never understand it until AFTER that moment happens, and then once you rewatched to that part of the intro again, it would just *click* and you wouldn't have assumed how it connected before. Seeing that opening each time, I was always fooled by the artistic convention. I would've never thought about the hidden meaning behind climbing up all the stairs (Tarturaus), Shinjiro lying down (on his death bed).. the connection all between the main character, Pharos and Ryoji appearing MULTIPLE times together throughout the intro. It only became clear near the end of the game when Ryoji first appeared, for which for a little bit I was like "ooh! new party member!" and then shortly after playing the next day and seeing that intro it became "holy fucking shit, they're all fucking connected, what the fuck". That's all just me in my opinion and I feel like random people playing this game for the first time are more oblivious to all of this happening.

They’re most likely not gonna port the others games on switch, so either wait for the other games to be on steam, emulate then like MadLad said, buy a PlayStation and play it, or play strikers which doesn’t have the same gameplay style
P4G's opening video is great in comparison other re-releases because was it made by Madhouse wich is legendary studio that also made one of the best anime series like Death Note, One Punch Man or Hunter X Hunter. P3 FES's and P5R's animations are bad in comparison. P3P is also not that good but I think its preaty neat because its fit great in theme of the game and also have that 2 sides prespective. But if comes to the songs, its depends on personal preferences.
I won't rank any intros from games I didn't play 5. Persona 5 Royal Op 4: Persona 4 Golden Op 3: Persona 1 PSP Op 2: Persona 2 Innocent Sin Op 1: Persona 2 Eternal Punishment Op
Persona 1 isn't a good game and the ost is the only redeeming factor. Dream of a butterfly, Lone prayer, Bloody destiny, Let butterflies spread until the dawn are such bangers. But I've been reading the manga for persona 1 and it's so good. Maybe I'll just drop the game and read the manga.

That's all just me in my opinion and I feel like random people playing this game for the first time are more oblivious to all of this happening.
......WELL, P5R WAS MADE AS PERFECT,THO.......AND LIKE SHOJI MEGURO AND LOTS OF STAFF HAD LEFT THE STUDIO AS I'VE READ RECENTLY
....SO.......DEFINITELY P1 OPENING WORKS, BUT......COLORS FLYING HIGH IS DEFINITELY ISNT WORSE AT ALL
My fav are
P3 Original
P2 IS
P4 Original
9:29 i need the ost here
Come on, “Soul Phrase” at the bottom of the list?
I like PS1 intros mainly how simple and sets the tone. Also I'd put P3P never cares for the intro.
Hell yes Dream of a Butterfly. Also both P1 intros show Maki as important
I felt the same way about the opening to the Persona 1 Re-release on PSP also! Still one of my favorites! Just wish the actual game was better.
Never played OG P4 or Golden but the P4 opening actually slaps.
I think Eternal Punishment PSP is my favorite one, second only to P3FES.
I wanted to get into Persona so i got the only one i could get for free so I can see if I like it or not. Persona 3 Portable immediately got me with Soul Phrase and I just beat the game 4 days ago and I haven't shed tears for a game in a while
I agree with pretty much all of this I guess except with how low p3p opening is and I didn’t like colors flying high that much
Idek my intro ranking, all I know is that the original P4 is in 1st and I haven't even played it yet
i love persona 4 bro
I literally only picked up Persona 4 golden on pc because of the golden week sale, only prior persona experience was joker in smash ultimate, and now I hope more gets ported to pc or a Nintendo system so I can play them (I refuse to support Sony so)
Well since you have a PC why not try emulating the first 4 games?
They’re most likely not gonna port the others games on switch, so either wait for the other games to be on steam, emulate then like MadLad said, buy a PlayStation and play it, or play strikers which doesn’t have the same gameplay style
you can always emulate it, and if you dont wanna do illegal stuffs then buy the copy and extract the ISO out of it like a boss
Before playing I thought Yusuke was evil because he was splashing red paint across the walls of an alleyway like blood lmao
I won't rank any intros from games I didn't play
5. Persona 5 Royal Op
4: Persona 4 Golden Op
3: Persona 1 PSP Op
2: Persona 2 Innocent Sin Op
1: Persona 2 Eternal Punishment Op
Persona 1 isn't a good game and the ost is the only redeeming factor. Dream of a butterfly, Lone prayer, Bloody destiny, Let butterflies spread until the dawn are such bangers. But I've been reading the manga for persona 1 and it's so good. Maybe I'll just drop the game and read the manga.
P4g intro fits a slice of life anime better than p4 tbh. Pursuing my true self is the god given amazing intro that fits p4 perfectly. Especially the opening beats it resembles a TV incredibly well. Gives me the feeling that I am living in a tv show which is exactly what I wanted to feel
I prefer og p4 over golden just because i feel like some of the things they added, like the junes concert event, take away from ghe small isolated town vibe that the game was going for. I really wish they chose to remaster the original p4 but add on goldens shuffle time mechanic, then we'd have the peak persona 4 experience
i fucking LOVE dream of butterfly its so good
Breakin' Through and Word of the Voice? Anyone?
Shadow world is good tho wtf are you on. WHY on p4g
