Jill is on another level as a violinist. Graduated at the top of her class from the Tokyo School of the Arts. A live performance a must, "Black Pentagram" where Shiren, guitarist is not playing an Jill not only performs her section, she does Shiren's guitar solo.
Her accuracy in reproducing the album version is impressive. There’s a cool live version on YT. Look for Dance of Eternity. I also enjoy her version of Far Beyond the Sun (Malmsteen).

Woah woah woah I noticed this channel from the anime reacts but you've also heard Unlucky Morpheus. I remember when they were an underground circle years back that did a lot of covers for Touhou. Crazy to see them noticed but maybe they've grown a lot since then.
Jill is always amazing. But to answer your question, my favorite is them performing this live. The video clip also has them performing 'Dance of Eternity' by Dream Theater. @@hiawatha.g She seems amazing! LOL yeah bow hairs getting loose is pretty normal. I imagine with the theatrics and movement style required to play the instrument in this setting it adds to the frequency of the bow getting rehaired.

I think the technique you think about is spiccato, but it's not. It's just fast bowing.🙃 It's might seems out of place but I will recommend you Hoshimachi Suisei's "Stellar Stellar"☄, it has violin too. 😉 Don't forget to turn on subtitle🤪

I heartily second that suggestion. Live one-take, not a missed note. Jill doesn't just shred, but actually shreds her bow, its so intense.

It would be ruined if I stopped the solo in the middle. The song is divided by talk and its charm is spoiled.
