Remember using a drill is a rotary not a DA Polisher you need to be very careful or you'll burn through the clear coat
low speed and fast movement, thats how you dont create heat, plus check the video "how to burn paint and how to make sure you dont burn paint", you will actually see that its not that easy to go through clear coat and/or paint... unles its a new car with that BS paint jobs they do (single stage clear and 1 or max 2 stage of paint), old school cars (15-20 + years) have 2 stage clear and 2-3 stages of paint
These drill pad sets work really good in fact I prefer it over similar sized rotary machines as I find the ones I have to be harder to work with and control vs the drill which works quite well and has enough rpm to do decent amounts of work.
