The Jv-1080 just sounds good. Love mine. Although admittedly it doesn't get used as much as I'd like it to be. Just a pain to edit, even with PatchBase XD
@@cl_audio_90 well it's not PatchBase's fault. Let me clarify that. It's just that the structure of the JV-1080 with the partials and parts and sounds is a bit tricky to work with. The very structure of how the synth works isn't terribly inviting to me to work with. It has loads of potential though, and PatchBase definitely helps with making it a lot more accessible and visual. So if you like to work with the sound structure of the JV-1080 I can't recommend it high enough =)
@@jim4588yeah eventually plugged it in and messed with it for about an hour. The DA converters are very clean just like my JD800 and give a quality of sound distinct from my virtual synths going through Apogee or RME computer interfaces, but the 1080 just like all my other hardware is back to museum status as I continue to utilize a pure in the box work flow .. mainly Kontakt samples of my favorite old school synths both analog and digital, as well as orchestral libraries.
I cant get any sounds when go into the rhythm section. How do I start a drum beat? If I press the volume knob I hear it, or if I goto any user patch. Thanks
This Roland is the same that was used for the soundtrack of Rockman X6, from this synth you can hear the strings ensemble that sounds in the intro stage for example
I have a doubt. Can sound modules be used in a live performance, where I have to call up sounds quickly in a particular order? Also, can I tweak the sounds (layer/split) and save them?
Ahh The sounds of 1994. I love the JV1080. I am as old as the JV1080 and it’s a unit I always go to for many sounds.
1994! Whaat!? Unbelievable!!

A trick: you can watch series on Flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Curtis Nash Definitely, been using flixzone} for months myself :D
Sounds legit Curtis Nash and Major Jason, lmao.

@@SyntheticFuture Oh I see. Thank you for sharing your experience, it was helpful :)
Guess I'll have to actually plug the JV-1080 I bought as a rack filler 8 years ago in 😁 Thanks
Did you ever plug it in?
Yeah what happened dude it's been 11 years

Sounds really nice and that's just the 1080 itself without any external FX processors?
yes! only internal sounds and EFX!;) no external processing

If you buy sipario by lab4music yes! Or you need a synth/masterkeyboard for creating your custom sounds. Look here: ( www.lab4music.it )
