This was funny as heck. My wife was laughing at me because I was yelling at the TV "it's got a diff lock". I work at a John Deere dealer and work on these all the time. They are tanks. There are 2 different clutches for those. A 15 mph and an 18 mph. The diesel ones are even better. Watch out climbing hills because the front wheels will come off the ground. It makes them sketchy loading and unloading on a trailer with a dove trail. The stock engine on those is 15.5 hp. So that's a big upgrade.
I work for the Parks Department of a city, and we used nothing but Gators when I first started working for them. I like the 6 wheel Gators but hated those brakes. They were hard to stop. Eventually, we replaced them with 4 wheel ones with actual suspension. Those worked out ok. Then along came a new superintendent, and he swapped all our equipment for Toro. What a nightmare. He's been gone several years, so we're going back to Gators. We're going to be going back to Skag mowers to replace the Toro mowers.
My uncle had a buddy take on and use it as his car up in the mountains stuck more road style tires in turn lowered it and stuck some bike motor liquid cooled and it hit 80 no problem and it had a small cage a windshield a wiper and soft doors al built by him the bed was removed because the cage ran to the front to back and just made his own bed fit inside the cage it was simple loop withe down bars front and back with front push bumper and custom rear tow small trail he built to hual his toys around it was cool the deck sat lower the the axel it was cool and built for being pulled around the mountain roads the guy was crafty and the buggy was cool it was back in the 90s and was on guy used go dirt drags with when we used to drag bikes in Bedford pa always wanted to find on and do this or build a mini 6x6 for the mountains and now with side by sides being a thing using part from them could be a thing and done well .
As cool as these older Gator's are I grew up around farmers that had the predecessor to it which were the AMT's. Two of the farmers my father knew each had one. One had the original model AMT600 that had an ATV style seat and handle bars and another had the newer AMT626 that had two seats and a steering wheel like the Gator. The AMT's will always be cooler IMO. Sadly you don't see them around as much as the Gator's. :)
I'm like 90% sure that Team Industries is the company that makes the CVTs for John Deere. Other than being a company or on the Baja SAE team in a college/University, they will NOT sell to the general public any CVT stuff.

Isaiah 40:31 is actually one of my favorite verses of scripture
You need to put a spider branch in the front end to pull the webs down as you ride
God bless RBG

Wait I missed something , didnt you say the clutch drum was tapered. Does the new motor have a tapered shaft ? What size is the shaft ?

When companies pull that crap, I suddenly own a large company and trying to source parts, can you send us one for fitment and stress testing😂
What if you drop in a 999 cc, in that machine?
Put some tracks on it
Should engage the 6 wheel drive!
Front axle has no provision for powering
@@dodgeme1986truck My uncle had one that was 6 wheel drive along with the locking rear diff.
@@edwardbrown4455they never made 6 wheel drive models you are mistaken
2wd has suspension
That thing looks so slow 😂
I have a honda gx270, its not getting any compression, what are your thoughts @RedBeard
Compression release on the cam broke and staying on?
Put a 999cc in there
Now that's a great idea 💡
A fully built one!👍
@@craigbowley6783 yep
