The director(crew?) said that it's because Japanese people back then doesn't express their love in the obvious way like kissing & stuff. They might do it privately but not publicly. So they were trying to keep that part realistic

I told my daughter that this is one of my favorite anime back in the day, after watching all of the movies in the Netflix, my daughter was even encouraged to watch the anime. One of my proudest moments as an anime fan. ❤️❤️

Her smile is so adorable. And i don't get ppl who hate Kaoru for being weak or whatever. She's a child who was born in peaceful era unlike Kenshin. She's a swordwoman, not a real killing machine or a soldier who fought in wars. She uses her skills not to fight for real, but to give lessons to earn money for the whole family!! She's the one financially supporting all those kids & guys relying on her dojo to eat. And she's doing all that at 17. She isn't any less than Kenshin for not being a killer like him.🙃 Instead, she's probably the only one in the whole series who has her shit together.
Why would anyone hate Kaoru? She's the only light on Kenshin's dark world. She represents hope on Kenshin's. She's a fresh breath from all of Kenshin's life chaos. Rurouni Kenshin is my favourite samurai movie. All the casts have portrayed their roles so well! I think they made the best decision to pick Satoh Takeru as Himura Kenshin

That kind of true love that can touch and change a soul,that can heal and mend a broken soul, that can turn a sad guilty man into one who want to live and enjoy it. This movie was released in 2012 . It's been 8 years and I haven't since watched this film franchise on television nor it was released in play movies that time.Forget about watching , I never ever heard of it . So sad I couldn't watch this movie in my home nation.

I love this Anime, one of my favorite since I was a child, One of my Ultimate Crush since I was a kid, Kenshin Himura. Just a week ago, I watched Accented Cinema's brilliant video essay on the first three films. Coincidentally, just a couple or so days ago, Netflix released all three and their exclusive final film centring around the Trust and Betrayal story in South Africa. I finished all four films early this morning. It was amazing. Update: I finished The Beginning a couple of months or so ago. It destroyed me. I also keep going to that scene in the 3rd film with Seijuro about the will to live, as well as the scene with Kaoru after Kenshin was released from jail. The Beginning, made Origins a strangely more emotional experience for me.

Japanese interprets can do that.. mix a mostly english song with japanese though (and have them sing that) will sound horrible. Same with any other language mix. For some reason, this only works with japanese songs. :'D

Just a week ago, I watched Accented Cinema's brilliant video essay on the first three films. Coincidentally, just a couple or so days ago, Netflix released all three and their exclusive final film centring around the Trust and Betrayal story in South Africa.
I finished all four films early this morning. It was amazing.
Update: I finished The Beginning a couple of months or so ago. It destroyed me.
I also keep going to that scene in the 3rd film with Seijuro about the will to live, as well as the scene with Kaoru after Kenshin was released from jail. The Beginning, made Origins a strangely more emotional experience for me.

Japanese interprets can do that.. mix a mostly english song with japanese though (and have them sing that) will sound horrible. Same with any other language mix. For some reason, this only works with japanese songs. :'D
