Shortly after leaving the truck and hiking in I'd seen more deer within 4hrs than I've ever seen. Zeb told me not to pass up a deer on the first day that I would shoot at the end of the last day. And what did I do? Just that. The stags were only 200m. Ah well next time. Thanks for an awesome weekend Zeb. Heaps of fun, heaps of deer, heaps of adventureand I learnt so so much about finding sambar. I certainly feel like my sambar finding abilities have improved a lot
Well done Clint, sounds like it was a successful trip regardless of putting one on the deck. The information Zeb has armed you with will no doubt help you become more successful on your future hunting expeditions!! I’m already employing the lessons I learnt. Good on you fellas! Special footage in this clip too that not a lot of even experienced hunters would be fortunate enough to witness! Amazing.
Having a mentor will bring your hunting 10years in a few trips over just blind smashing km of forest for years. We all need to bring a few people up and thru the ranks to keep our passion growing. Stagnation is death and our hobby needs numbers to survive
Love that in most of your videos theres always a couple tips and pointers about sambar behaviour. Iv managed to bag a few deer now but these little tips always help on the next hunt, something to keep my eye out for, different types of sign (the neck rub on the ant mound) etc.. all adds up, and its starting to feel like iv got half an idea of what im doing when im looking for deer. Not just stumbling through the bush and randomly spotting one. I appreciate the vids mate, keep it up.
Awesome feedback mate💪 I enjoy giving away the tips as I had no one giving me any tips back in the day when I was stumbling around in the bush wondering where all the deer were hiding.😆
Mate, I love your content and can’t get enough of sambar deer hunting content. I’ve only ever hunted / hunt fallow deer. in NW NSW where I’m from. Your vids are inspiring me to plan a trip down to the high country for a sambar hunt.
Thanks for watching and your feedback 😀 Fallow Bucks are fun Sambar stags are addictive ! Hope you can get down south and get amongst some ghosts of the Alpine

@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures do you hunt on public land? If so, what permits are required?
@@out-bushpatriot you need a vic game licence for stalking deer and a firearms licence
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures cheers mate 🍻
Hey mate,, I hunt fallow with my trusty 308. Is that enough rifle for sambar?
Great footage of the calf drinking and the mother staying alert !!
Only just got it too ! 😀
Great video as always, love the calf feeding off mum. Haven't seen it myself yet.
First time I've had a camera but I've seen it a couple times over the years. Aggressive little feeders aren't they .
Great viewing as usual Zeb, you certainly know your stuff.
More than some not as much as others 👍 thanks for taking the time to comment.
Excellent work mate. Love the clear footage and images.
