Not sure if somebody commented on this before. i could be wrong but i think the reason why the handguard and the receiver has different elevation in terms of rail is that one of the slight differences between a 416 and the M4 is that the receiver of the 416 has it rails much higher than the m4. this is probably to accomodate the much larger short stroke piston instead of just a gas tube for the m4. so the reason why your handguard sits much lower than the receiver is that, that handguard is meant for an M4 and not for a 416. but i could be wrong.
With WE Locktite is a must. That's my biggest recommendation.

I had a Scar and when I flipped it to full auto it bent the bolt carrier too and I had to buy a new one. I got an RA tech and it was awful! I then bought the original one and worked perfectly. I just stick to OEM parts now except the barrel, bucking and nub.
RA-Tech have major issues with tolerances. If you take the time to file them down and fit RA-Tech parts properly it's great and works... but like, it's pretty damn annoying that you need to edit BRAND NEW parts lol. At the end of the day, just buy a Vipertech.

@@gold.2948 Yeah for sure, there's some good aftermarket trigger units for the MWS that's 7075 or even some steel trigger units.
I don't own any AR platforms but it was still a pleasant and informative video to watch ! Be warned with RA-Tech trigger group parts, namely the hammer and disconnector; I have installed them in my WE G36 and the trigger just sticks in semi auto. You need to manually reset it. I'd love to see your take on it and why not on the G36 altogether. Keep up the good work !
im glad im not the only one with that problem i jsut dropped an ra tech trigger box in, it works beautifully except for that, my thought is that the ra selector switch would probably fix that problem
@@PongoDaMan I found out that the problem lies into the hook design of the hammer and disconnector.
These parts need to be either broken in or filed but be warned ! Too much filing and you can end up rendering these parts unusable. That's what happened to me, first issue resulted in the disconnector releasing the hammer on trigger reset and second issue is hammer having too much resistance to engage the disconnector...
Don't do like me. Do a little bit at a time, reassemble and test. Or you'll have to buy another set of parts like I did 😔
There are allen keys that have a hex-ball head so you can use then at an angle. Seems to come in handy for situations like this.(hop up adjustment)
one of my team mates build WE 416 with an WE M4 lower receiver (need to file those 2 main pin holes here and there). so now his 416 can use WE P-Mag magazine. All my team use 416 now haahhahaah

Go for the Z-parts trigger group.
On the RA-tech bolt carrier, take the aluminum nozzle out of it. Put the stock or a poseidon into it, will work better. Recoil shouldn't do much to it.The buffer tubes on WE M4's are bad period, just put a real buffer tube into it.
With WE if you replace Trigger Box with steel Ratech you must replace also the carrier with Steel Ratech and plastic nozzle.
If you do this, you must replace the cover upper key on the carrier and install the original one.
This way it will work really fine.
Just like a VFC AR15 with weird parts, but still working!!

butterfly charging handle works just fine without any modifications to it. The reason why it stucks at extended/pulled out position is because of buffer tube being screwed in too deep/tight
A tip for anyone looking yo change the rail system, i have the open Bolt version, wich Is the m4a1 (the old one) and i bought an mk18 madbul Daniel defense rail, the problem when i tried to install It was that the barrel nut could not make the outerbarrel stif, even when i fully tight It the barrel was wobbly, what i did was that i added an aditional oring in betwin the barrel an barrel nut, that was all.

I mean regarding the handguard, I‘d assume you can save yourself the modification hassle if you use a 416 handguard instead of an m4 handguard. After all, those are also available in various lengths and with mlok and keymod.
How do these hold up with the tap Hpa adapter?

i bought mine used and the forward pin has a screw inside of the takedown pin, you drop it in and tighten it and it stops the wobling in the lower
guys, i bought the RA TECH steel trigger set and bolt for my WE masada, and it is running like fire since 2019, not a single problem, steel pieces are a loot better than those made out of chinese metal that breaks after 200 shots
How about the bolt and the loading nozzle, did you kept and used the original or did you also replace it with RaTech?
@@bvphil982I changed the nozzle and bolt carrier to angel custom and ra tech and it's been 3k rounds @ 350 fps w .28 bbs. It's been great so far no issues 100%

Steel bolt is OK but the aluminum nozzle is completely useless and expensive!
Regarding the bolt catch, its a matter of simple mod - just shim the bolt catch where you insert the pin, and make sure the bolt catch catches the bolt highly and not on the tip of the metal where it ends.

So Josef did you try the steel trigger components? Aren't they contacting other pieces too? Because then I would be worried that those will wear down too.
The hand guard gap is because you are putting an m4 hand guard on a 416. The 416 receiver is taller and needs a compatible hand guard
yes I know. gas vs piston driven. But it's good for more camera clearance.
I like m4/ar15 replica platforms, I'm not concerned about markings and trades or if it is a 416 whatever, it is the the performance of the gbbr also I prefer customizing the furniture.

Looks like I probably wouldn't mind getting a WE GBBR, I already have a g&p GBBR that I put together through a challenge kit. The only issue is the hopup, but I have an ifixit toolkit and they work wonders on my GBB ar-15/mp7 and they have an extension for the bits so it wouldl probably be able to reach the WE hopups

What did you do to make the charging handle run more smoothly? Mine wore quite quickly where it just grinds whenever it is pulled back.

Nice video. Btw, ra tech hammer will eat away the bolt. Also the bolt might 'ride' in an elevated position over the hammer (it's bigger/sitting higher), this makes the bolt catch extra unreliable.
A ra tech hammer won't eat at the bolt any moreso than the stock hammer because the stock hammer has a steel roller bearing just like the ra tech version. Other than that the bolt does not interface with the hammer anywhere else.
I've put a new bucking and nub in mine, but the Maple Leaf Automaton seemed to disagree with the stock barrel. BB's kept getting stuck. Put that bucking on a poseidon barrel and it seemed to work much better. I can now crank up the hop without BB's jamming. However, I'm wondering what he meant when he said the "hop-up" should be replaced. Did he just mean the bucking, or the entire unit? If the entire unit, what are the other options?
Oh and could you please make a video about how to speed load the M4 GBB mags? I think I'm doing it wrong…
Just practice reloading at normal speed then after that's as familiar as breathing and blinking then work on speed 😉

What type of suppressor Is on the thumbnail and also can you avoid breaking the thread on the 416 bolt nozzle if you get a double feed if you get an aluminum bolt? And also how hard is it to change a WE m4 Sol (AKA WE 416) barrel to a shorter one?
Hey man, how do you store gas magazines during winter or when you're not playing with them? I often encounter problems with leaking on my Glock mags and i dont want to bother changing o-rings every time (trying to "revive" them with silicon oil didnt work for me, had to change them)
I fill them with gas and let them sit. All my gas mags are always under pressure.
I found an usp mag made by tanio koba bought 13 years ago and not used for the past 10. It still had gas inside and is working fine :)

Nice video, i have a we open bolt m4 and i bought a madbull mk18 rail system and the barrel nut didnt hold the outer barrel properly (it was wobbly) so i went back with the stock hadguard, what did you do to your barrel nut to make it fit???
my we 416 gbbr upper broke right where the castle nut screws on making the upper worthless :(

My only problem with bolt catch is its lock when Im shooting if magazine empty but doesnt catch if I pull the charging handle when magazine empty. I should do it manualy. Why do you think its like this? I recently bought the 416 and it has came out the box like this. Other than that all very solid.
What are the attachments? Suppressor, grip, scopes etc.?

Hey I bought my first gbb a we tech 416c but a little pin keeps falling out that the triggers hammer comes done and hits so it can shoot how do I fix that?

How cold does your WE kac work? even at 10 degrees c mine does not work at all, a few shots and it throws the gas. It is brand new, however, I have changed the nozzel since the one that sat in cracked after a mag, but it is an original I have put in again

It can really be 50/50 you gotta break In the gun first and find out if it's working correctly within the warranty period. This includes not being able to modify the gun as it might voice warranty.
For the we trigger box, would you recommend only upgrading the tribber and hammer, or the whole trigger box?

Alan Siqueira my KAC run 70degree bucking (single dot will be enough) and 6.03 inner barrel. And better upgrade end of recoil spring ( add rubber pad) to avoid kick to break end of lower body

My colleague owns one. He says it's terrible.
I own one of these. They have the potential to truly be something special you just have to put a great deal of work into them, which is true with most gas guns. Honestly, the only real problem you may run into is the nozzle breaking and possibly issues with the trigger group. If you get the old batch of guns the bolt was a real problem with the bolt carrier warping and mushrooming when hitting the springs on the bolt guide rods. An early fix to this devised by Bullet4myenemy was to put two washers on the guide rod to minimize this warping effect. On the new rifles this issue was permanently fixed with the company attaching a steal plate to the bolt carrier.
Other than that I've put something like 5k bb's through this and haven't had a single problem. Despite what people say on forums there really isn't a need to upgrade to all those fancy RA-tech steel parts and actually this can damage some of your stock parts if you don't upgrade all of them to steel. The only stock part I recommend upgrading to RAT Steel is the trigger group. If you do this and have the new bolt the gun actually works quite reliably with no issues, except the plastic nozzle of course that always has the chance of breaking.

How do you load your magazines with bb's ? My feeding lips weared very fast using the provided tool and now I have lots of double feed/bb's crushing between the bolt and hop-up unit

The nub on the mags that allow the bolt to lock back has 'broken' on almost all my mags. Moving the slider doesn't articulate the nub at all. Do you know how to fix this?
From your description I cannot tell. Just open it and see what's wrong.

@@user-se8ip4iy9c I bought 2 BC (1 with magnetic npas) and neither of them fit well with upper reciever. Furthermore, I wanted to upgrade the bolt lock lever - none did anything because they are not as wide as og and just rattle around. So far my attempts with ratech were just money thrown away, thats why I'm asking.
Should I get the kwa lm4 PTR or WE m4 GBB??

Nope, I cannot comment on the MSK as I don't have one. From what I heard though, it's not the best choice. Maybe someone else here has more info on it?

In my experience never use bb lower than 0.30 on gbb gun. No matter how long your barrel is, just use 0.30-0.40 bb to maintain trajectory stability. Low weights bb only ruining your accuracy.

I do have a question. I ended up buying the WE M4 CQB. However, I want to buy a 363mm inner barrel and use a suppressor to cover it. I bought a 10" M-lok handguard to replace the RIS that came with it. Just trying to measure...it looks like the new guard will extend slightly past the threads on my outer barrel. Is there generally any issue with fitting a suppressor inside the handguard? The one I ordered has a pretty large opening....a lot like the honey-badger you show in this vid. Were there any unforeseen difficulties with that setup?
And how about the We scar l?

Im really confused. Got my WE 416 and have been running it off propane while adding silicone oil for the year and 2 months I’ve had it. For the first 6-8 months the gun was a dream, i could do full auto through a whole mag in -20C in Canada, while keeping the same fire rate id have indoors. Each mag had enough gas for 90 rds. Now the gun barely cycles, very sluggishly and cant full auto or do cold temperatures. Any help? I have an angel customs NPAS which never holds its FPS, could that be an issue?
PR0bro sounds like your mags are not getting filled properly. You might want to disassemble them and clean them up and try again.
@@alvinwong4461 Ill try that. It's also important to note that I had the common nozzle failure, 2 times, both on the same nozzle. In fact I'm still on the same nozzle and the gun still fires, but that could also be a reason why gas efficiency is so bad.
Hello, is your gun still working right now? How many shots did it take to replace the stock internals
@@bvphil982 my gun has about 60,000 rds through it, still works, but trigger group fails roughly 20,000-40,000rds (currently on 2nd dead trigger group), and I’ve been through 2 nozzles in this time as well. Its due for a new bolt catch now, along with shimming the bolt catch mount.
