Purple is easily the best player among them.
Never got time to settle... got continuously attacked by 3 teams yet somehow he managed to hold them off for a surprisingly long time!!

Thanks for having me! I loved this game. Everyone did well, sad some players got beaten by 2v1 but that's the part of the FFA. I had a lot of fun casting. Hopefully we could do more collaborations in the future! :)

omg that game was a 10/10. liked that you had a second person with you to help you out and he was really good. teal got what he deserved and you did a really good job by showing some of the chat. i really liked that because i like the chat in FFA. i am waiting for the next one and i hope yellow from game #2 is in there. my fav.!

I will always stand for Spain no matter the circumstance.... but when I saw that MASSIVE pike rush, SCRUBS won my heart. Dope match by everyone, Timinator handling the 2v1 AND 3v1 like a pro, Dansil showing the power of unction (i wish a little more tho), and Spongebob... well being Spongebob. Wish we got to see a little more of the German war machine, but all in all, solid match everybody.
Team Noelz honestly i think scrbs deserves the win so much. (I was blue- wish id got more chance to run the spain pain train but i got wedged in a corner so i had to play weak to not just get wrecked lol). I remember i rewatched the rec immediately after the game to see what happened to red and WOW i just thought that guy deserves the win so much

Team Noelz yeah i ended up picking the wrong deck so my next best strat was going the subtle "look bad/crippled" trick. No one worries about the "underpowered" civ with the low score. Whats your eso name im down for some spain mirror

Watching the tournaments from the beginning. Trajan the co-caster is so funny! If he still plays aoe3 today, then you should bring him in for another! Was rooting for purple like everyone else but he was too good to be kept alive. GGs

You can tell spongebobs deck was designed for the “Great Lakes” map. Excellent gameplay.

This should be a Three game final or something man...Same players using different Civilizations......Different maps and assign points for 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc and then average for the win....Just a thought because it was good.

I love it how this time you had someone commentating with you keep doing that in the future pls and overall your idea of making this tourney was sick so I really hope you have time in the future to do more of these. Hopefully we can see a team tourney like a 3v3 or something like that. Again just good work overall and keep going cuz ur the only AOE 3 player I watch :)

It'd be cool if in game chat could be turned off and instead of seeing the other people's names just "color and civilization" such as "Red (British)". I feel that if people didn't know who the other players were while in game and had no communication, there would be less likely to be teaming during the game and it would keep the game a true "free-for-all". Otherwise it is not a free-for-all match and just a 3v1, then a 2v1 then a 1v1. Kinda silly. Just hard to watch the great players in this tournament go out because of being teamed up on. Other than that it was a very enjoyable series of games.

I'm a little late on this parade, but I just discovered your channel so you know. But I loved the tournament! Gotta say, I feel like Spongebob sort of had it coming this game, but not because of what he did in his group stage match. I feel like he and blue started the war against purple, but after yellow showed up he just completely stopped attacking purple and started booming his economy. It was a good strategy, but once he got spies and yellow and blue noticed how big he got, he just doomed himself because there was no way that they weren't going to team up on him. Either way I feel like each player did well, except for red who just got super unlucky with that massive pike push that yellow brought at him. I'm loving the videos, haven't checked yet, but I think a team-deathmatch tournament would be pretty cool as well.

Yellow should have continue his advance of his pikeman immediately to blue. Since pikemans are early game units, but not sure why is he not continuing
Anyone knows why the Chinese in these FFA games never use the flame throwers?? They're my own favorite units against foot soldiers.

I thought Spain had good chances. Why didn't he build some artillery to attack the navy? Why didn't he try to rebuild his eco? He seemed to gain a foothold south of Yellow's base and Yellow had a hard time dealing with his skirmishers. He kinda looked like he gave up. I'm confused.

Yo can you make a video on China? I've seen your other videos and followed the strats but I've been getting absolutely wrecked. My problems im facing are: I get slapped early game, cavs rape me especially early, my eco is always behind unless teams don't attack/ until i book in or after fortress, my armies just feel weak in general. Helppp

nice match but the way they played it is like every FFA ever. two guys playing allies the entire match and one surrenders to the other at the end. it's not impressive in any way. Tim was the best player imo

I usally love FFA but I got teamed so much often in the last time...
It fucking sucks..
And I don't mean this "this guy has 1500 more eco than everyone else, lets team up against him" teaming..
No... I mean like... I attack my neighbour... a moron left to me moans that I killed 3 villiagers from him (builds up to attack me) and in the meanwhile I have a white knight attacking me from far away from the map who thinks he has some righteous duty to do instead of attacking his neighbour ....
When do you do these ffa tournaments? Let me know if he down to do this I'm 1st LT/captain.

Why do you give the right to attack two against one? Housing limit+ vs you plays double eco. No epic, cowardly victory through playing in team

@@Daniel-pg9qh Okay, you've been evolving for a while. After that, you are immediately attacked by two players who have developed at the same pace as you. the question of the meaning of this game? Game 1 on 1 is a full game 1 on 1, where destroying one player you finish the game. a FFA is when you are gradually destroying all. And so, you can be a fool who goes to the FFA with a friend and already wins ABSOLUTELY all the games, because of the reasons that I described above
@@dansil92 First, specifically in this situation was the ability to play without a third wheel, everyone was your enemy. Secondly, it is not necessary to go out, just wait or attack in both directions. But there is no way to cooperate with another player without giving a chance to the third.

@@dansil92 Then why not ronin at a saloon? I haven't played in years though, so no idea what the meta is anymore. I mostly played casual anyway and ran the wiki until I got burnt out. So I guess mercs are out now as Spain?
I never used to send the 5 ronin shipment, just dance hall, and merc loyalty. Plus land grab, then advanced plantation to get them to stack properly. Followed by all the cards for gather rate, capitalism is situational. Mostly good for a follow up to advanced tp.
Chompy Said i totally forgot to build a saloon which is a real shame as the mercs were really good as i found out. Highlanders and arsonists with unction would have been insane
@@dansil92 Unction monitors are still my favorite. 733 damage in Imperial, x3 of them, means a shot every 20 seconds if you stagger them. Not many armies can stand up to that. Even on non-water maps, nobody seems to expect you to build them in a puddle. Here are two uses for them I wrote.

@@dansil92 Oh, and the gallery is a bit dated. 2011-2012, not sure if any of them got changed. The Spanish artillery comparison links to my old admin blog. I also added full gather rates, etc to the coin, food, export and home city (experience) pages. I have not had time to work on revamping wood. Just found out the game had new life on steam recently, and buying a new house.

Mmm was quite obvious some players pre teamed before the game started. Kinda defeats the purpose of ffa. Disappointing.

The guy helping spectate is annoying with all his questions and assumptions. Made the game longer than it seems.
Pretty boring game. This is why you should analyze future games and declare a winner based on whatever criteria--boxing style. Its clear that this game was full of mostly non-winners. The make-up game that you have planned will be the exciting one; the deserving players will be in it
