The quality of players in this match was insane! Felt like I started off in the championship game, nothing came easy. In hindsight, I should've made more horse artillery. I think China's hand mortars made me feel like they weren't getting the job done.
Balla331 here - Great game first of all. WP by all the players! Toward the end I do not know why but my walls were glitched and I couldn't rebuild walls. I had to go Musket all game bc his dops would plow through my strelet so I had to try to out mass him with instant Musket with a little cannon mix. Japple did a great job pushing and keeping me on my toes. I was able to get spies way early and see everything which gave me time to mass up plenty of gold while timinator was dueling it out with Japple. But honestly, I thought scrubs wouldve gave me a better fight there being Japan I was worried about him and his shogun and how he could samurai rush me. GREAT HARD FOUGHT GAME!
@@berxy2994 Right at the end, Russian musks built a fort inside of Germany's base and used its presence to kill Germany's factory, while Germany couldn't even enter Russian base. It looked like it was all over then and there, just one more fort inside the big openings, and suddenly Germany broke the tie.
I haven't really played AoE III more than maybe a few hours in my whole life. I have always been a TW fan, so AoE never felt interesting to me. But your commentary is so good, that I have watched all your videos and really enjoyed them. I feel like I need to say this to pinpoint the excellent work you are doing, delivering satisfying and entertaining content with in-depth and thorough tactical analysis at the same time. I believe you are a great ambassador of this game to the people and you are definitely up there at the top of my favorite youtube content creators, along with milkandcookiesTW and EllingtonTW. Also, it is easy to tell that you are passionate about what you are doing, always trying to improve and deliver top quality content, which is really inspiring. I salute you Sir!
This game exemplifies why FFA is neither fair nor balanced and why politics sometimes take precedence over skill. Very entertaining regardless. Well played to all of the players. Looking forward to more FFA games on this channel.
Well considering the poor performance of the German player late game, I dont even know how he survived but the first 30 minutes. He's literally sending dops (expensive as heck units) straight into anti-infantry units like artillery/skirm/musks etc. I dont even know what was going through his mind, like bruh, spawn in the right units!
I think one of green or purple should've killed villagers or at least part of them at that last press and attack with extra numbers and some art behind.. that always will work
this is good for China in FFA-- i delete the summer palace and the confucian academy when I am in imperial and have my full eco rolling. Because China suffers from a slow train time for units, you really can't afford to have that much military pop in the heart of your base taking 30 second to walk through all your walls to the front line. you need all your military population on the front line at the same time. and since you get 2 infinite crow shipment, you can pretty much always top up your military pop for free and have it spawn forward
Literally every FFA game with a German player. Like seriously the German players just cant keep up. Like dude, spawn in the correct unit! Literally spawning dops on mass straight into anti infantry units. Wha?! Why?!?! And then he doesn't even use war wagons which are literal tanks. Honestly, I wonder why Germany hasn't won a game until now, well here's the answer, I dont think people know how to use the units properly lol. I dont claim to be an expert on the German Civ or AOE 3 in any way. But I do know how to use units properly. Even when going against a spammer.
Clear you don't play Germany. War Wagons aren't a good unit, they overkill bad and don't have range resistance. Dopps on the other hand have an AOE attack and have a multiplier vs light infantry. Dopps are the reason Tim made musk against me and why Balla didn't make strelets. I did make pure skirm to beat his pure musk late game.
@@japple3703 Ah, makes more sense. I've played Germany quite alot though, but I use all of the cav upgrade cards for spammability. My entire deck is composed of economical cards and cav upgrade cards. I usually never use dopps because they're so slow, unless it's a dire situation. War wagons can be op, pretty good siege, high attack damage, high highpoints. Basically mini tanks with all upgrades, the only bad sides I've found are like what you mentioned and how they cost insane amounts.

@@prussianeagle1941 Thanks lol. In order to make Dopps good you need the two speed upgrades. One from the unique church card and one from the advanced arsenal. Then they become fast and beefy.

this is good for China in FFA-- i delete the summer palace and the confucian academy when I am in imperial and have my full eco rolling. Because China suffers from a slow train time for units, you really can't afford to have that much military pop in the heart of your base taking 30 second to walk through all your walls to the front line. you need all your military population on the front line at the same time. and since you get 2 infinite crow shipment, you can pretty much always top up your military pop for free and have it spawn forward
